Kit barely heard Jan as she crawled in next to him, completely in a dream state.

He rested for hours and hours, and when he awake, he found himself and Jan tangled up in the light sheets of the bed. He blinked a few more times, letting his eyes adjust to the afternoon light

He watched Jan for a little bit, smiling as she rested, listening to her slow and very rhythmic breathing. He huggled her a little closer, knowing that she had taken care of him, when she needed just as much caring of herself.

After a few more moments, he closed his eyes, merely resting there with Jans warmth cuddled next to him, awaiting her to wake on her own.

Jan's eyes fluttered open once more and she asked, "Are you alright?" her voice was raspy with sleep and lack of fluid, but it was still loud enough for him to have heard. She stretched a bit, she could tell that he wasn't sleeping. His breathing wasn't deep enough. Even in her groggy, sore, stiff state, she could tell.

Kit took in a deep breath, almost sighing and nodded. He whispered back, in the afternoon light.

"Yea, I think I'm fine now"

He stayed nuzzled to her, just keeping her close, enjoyinh keeping her close without any words.

Jan let him hold onto her. She had no idea what he'd been through, but judging by his earlier illness it could not have been pleasant. With a small smile, she pet his hair and kept him close until he'd be ready to come loose from her. "I'm glad," she half-whispered.

Kit smiled to her, and relaxed a little more, feeling much better. He still had only a vague idea of what had went on in the early hours of the morning.

He sat up, and cracked his back and neck, many crunchy sounds emanated from his bones. Rolling his shoulders, and relaxing a little, he looked over to Jan, still curled up on the bed.

"I don't remember a lot of this morning.." Kit spoke, obviously thinking as he did so. "But I take it Eiji had something to do with it?"

"I think so. I don't really know myself." she uncurled herself and sat up as well, placing a concerned hand on his shoulder. "But you're feeling better now, right?" she asked, peering into his face, as though that might help her discover the truth. Her hand stayed firmly planted on his shoulder as she waited to a response. Kit had been weakened before like this, but never to the same extent. She was worried that he might get dizzy if he tried to get up. That he might run out of energy after he was up. Any number of things could go wrong.

Kit stretched a little more, giving out a yawn, as his shoulders popped a little. He rolled his shoulders after, and attempted to crack his back by twisting side to side, as nothing gave way.

"I seem to be just as good as always," He said. "Though, a glass or three of water would be great right now," He smirked.

Kit let his hands glide along Jans sides and hips lightly, also making sure in his own ways that she was ok as well.

"I'm glad," she said again. "Well let's get you in the shower first, you clammy thing. Then you can have water." That said, she released his shoulder and kissed his cheek softly. Jan's red hair hit his shoulder again as she maneuvered herself out of bed without managing to bother him much at all. She held out her hand to him and smiled.

Kit took her hand in his own, and stood up on the floor, staggering just a little. He found his way to the shower with her help.

Taking a nice cool shower, he felt much better afterwards. Dressing into his leather pants and a white tshirt, he stepped out into the kitchen, his hair a bit damp yet. He nabbed a glass of water, drank it all in almost a single gulp, before repeating the process.

Jan had managed to snag some fruit and a few leftovers from the fridge, heat it up to the perfect temperature, and complete a plate for Kit before eating herself on a stool next to the counter. "If you keep guzzling like that, you'll get sick," she said, taking a chomp out of the bright and delicious fruit that was in front of her.

She continued to eat as she waited for Kit to sit with her and partake in the lovely meal he'd prepared for all of them just the night before. It was a wonderful meal that made her particularly happy to eat.

Kit took another sip, before he set the mostly full glass down on the table. He sat down as well, and started to nibble at the food. He took little bites, still feeling a bit out of it, slightly dizzy and disorientated.

After letting the food settle in his tummy for a few moments, he started to feel a little more like his usual self, although he could tell he probably still appeared a slight mess to Jan.

Kit rubbed his cheeks and face over and over, trying to make his appearance less frightening. Not really accomplishing to much, he shook his head side to side, attempting to press away the feelings in his head. It always flowed back, little by little.

January smiled at him softly and put a hand to his forehead, her fingertips lightly touching the skin that lie there with the most careful determination. Her eyes closed just as she finished swallowing a piece of fruit and she let a current of her own power flow into the amp before her. The bloody garnet color spread from her fingertips and slowly surrounded him, lending him some of her own energy. It was not much, mostly because she had hardly any to give, but it would be enough to clear his head for the time being. One eternity of a second later, she let the energy stop flowing into him. Her Garnet eyes reopened and her delicate fingers fell from the grace of his forehead.

The kind hostess was officially much paler than she had been in his presence for quite some time, but rather than give him a chance to worry about her, she turned back to her plate and continued to eat the most delicious fruits and energy-giving foods that qualified as breakfast-worthy. Her sleepy eyes desperately craved a few more hours of rest, but there was no time for it...not today. Red strands of hair were still tangled a bit from her battle, and she was aching in every place it was possible to ache, but she hid it with the most subtle grace.

January had no time for weakness, and Sundri had no time to prepare. There had been a strange man sited in the streets just the night before, which meant that an assassin was in town. The only reason to enter in such a way was to make sure that the protectors of Sundri didn't know what was coming, and seeing as most of the people living in Sundri were criminals or outlaws, she doubted that it was because this person was embarrassed.

Her troubling thoughts were only reflected in the stiffness of her otherwise relaxed posture and the way in which she paused for long moments of time before moving on to the next piece of food she would put into her mouth. The garnet guardian only wished that she knew more, nearly forgetting Kit was in the room with her at all.

Kit's chest rose, as his eyes fell shut at her most tender touch. He felt her own energy flow from her fingertips and into his own forehead, feeling his soul tingle as the power surged.

His eyes closed, as a slight glow emanated from between his eyelashes, almost as if a slight golden glitter fell like a romantic snow from them.

Kit took another breath as he felt her fingers pull back, feeling much better himself. But, as he glanced to Jan, he could see how pale she was. Kit wanted to do something, anything, just to make her feel better at all. Though he knew if he tried to share his own energy, he would be back to where he was, and he did not want to be caught into an endless loop of trying to make each other better by sharing the energy.

Kit was grateful for her share of energy, feeling her compassion for everything she loved in the shared energy that flowed fully through him. Hos only desire at the moment was to repay her as much as he could at some point, whenever that might be.

He looked to Jan, the red tossed hair contrasting her weakened and pale cheeks.

His eyes stayed closed for just a moment more as the words of "Thank you" touched her mind silently, Kit's lips never moving.

As her shared energy flow passed though him and came to an end, he felt what Jan was thinking. Taking in one more breath, he looked up and over to her.

Asking in all seriousness, knowing she might bend the truth, he questioned to her. "Jan, what's wrong?"

Jan felt the gratitude of a strange consciousness that she had felt before, but at the moment, she was too tired to place it. Some good she would do if she felt like this all day. She took another large piece of fruit just as Kit asked her what was on her mind. The girl finished her chewing and swallowed the fruit before sighing softly and turning her weary eyes to him.

"There's a lot going on just now...I think there might be an assassin in Sundri," she said. "A stranger was seen entering the city while the rest of us were fighting...I don't like where this is going. If we don't find that person there's going to be trouble. We don't know if they're a spy from the tower or what is happening, but I want them out of my home."

She felt as though she was near tears, but it was a strange combination of emotion and dry eyes from sleep loss. "I have to go into Sundri's Protection Guild today and help in the coordination of the search. I'm so tired though...I need more rest. If I don't go, that intruder could wreak such havoc in so little time..." and here, she let her emotion overtake control of her eyes.

Sundri had been her home and haven for years. The people here adored her, and she loved every part of this place. If there was one thing in the world that meant something to Jan, it was this place. And as her tear-ridden eyes looked back up at Kit, she felt a feeling of overwhelming distraught come over her. Never had she been so irrationally emotional about anything before. This strange feeling of weakness shook her frame and her overly tired mind.

Enough stress had been put on her body to result in this and she wanted desperately to make it stop. To be in control again. Even as she thought it, she knew that until she had more rest, she could not have any sort of composure.

Kit stood up, and went behind Jan, placing his hands gently upon her shoulders, letting her know he was there for her.

A relaxing, familiar voice whispered into her mind: "Close your eyes..."

As soon as her eyes were closed, Kit covered her eyes with his hands. A soft golden glow started to flow from his palms. The comforting glow was not at all bright enough to hurt.

Smooth, relaxing waves of energy started to flow over her body, as the glow rose and fell softly with its subtle intensity.

After a few lingering moments, it seemed as if Jan had been gently lifted, becoming weightless in the process. A comfy and stable invisible cushion upheld her, as the sensation stayed with her.

Eiji's angelic voice could be heard as the glow dimmed.

"Rest. When you wake, you will be rested, and not a moment will have passed,"

The glow faded out, surrounding her in a warm darkness, but even in the absence of light, a soft protective love sheltered her.
