What happened to the good old days of listening to Electronica when it didn't really matter who you listened to, rather than what you were listening to.

I mean, the days of when I could actually like Sandstorm (but now it's been played so much that it drives me insane to listen it). Or when you wouldn't get bashed for listening to a certain artist?

I miss those days in some ways. Now for some reason it seems that almost everybody has to listen to the newest coolest producer of Drum 'n' Base, or Trance, or something.

The key is to listen to whatever the ******** you want without caring what anyone else thinks. Listen to what sounds good, period.

It happens to anything that gets popular enough. Once something passes a size threshold, it gains enough sheep-minded fans that someone can say "this producer/dj/mc/label/genre/brand/author/designer/director/etc" is the only one paying attention to and a mass of people will follow.
Our society is so driven by image that actual quality is ignored in favor of who looks better. That, coupled with societal pressure to fit in and to look good makes people care about what artists they claim to like, rather than what they actually prefer to listen to.
As Tif said, it's best to just do what you like. Sure, they might look down on you for not listening to the "coolest" producers or DJs, but remember: they're conformist sheep; they aren't actually spouting their own opinions, but rather just regurgitating the words of those producers' or DJs' marketing agents.

Apparently I'm pretty good at luring in squirrels. I got one within about a foot and a half before someone else spooked it.
Of course, the squirrels here are pretty stupid.

The squirrels who thing they own my backyard are bawlsy little bastards, I have got close enough to touch them before but I back off for fear they might attack. There are millions of them that occupy my backyard.

Stuff involving babies:

So you know the song "everybody's tryin' to be my baby"?
Everybody's tryin' to be my baby
Everybody's tryin' to be my baby
Everybody's tryin' to be my
Baby now!

That was running through my head yesterday, only instead of "be", it was "eat."

-------

Fetus porn.

Okay, technically, it's a pro-life ad with a false-color picture of an unborn girl. But she's naked and her crotch is very visible.

On a related note, there was a nearby pro-choice ad that stated that if abortion were made safe and legal worldwide, one life would be saved every six minutes.
But it struck me, pro-lifers would say that abortion can't be made safe; somebody dies with every abortion, specifically the fetus.

Every time you have an abortion, God kills a fetus. So please, think of the fetuses.

That's a really funny word.

The squirrels in my back yard are secret agent squirrels employed by Homeland Security to keep an eye on me. But they are such chatterboxes that can't keep a secret to save their scrawny little lives. They are also easily bribed. They'd sell their souls for peanut or even a stale crust of bread. rofl heart ninja pirate

I've got a question. It's a hypothetical but it might become relevant to someone I know soon.
So, suppose there's this cute girl that you know. You eat with her sometimes, you have a bunch of common interests, similar sense of humor, taste in music, etc. You know where she lives, and where she's from. Also, she thinks you're cute. Maybe in a platonic sense, maybe not.
But you have no idea whatsoever what her name is.
What do you do?
Remember, this is purely hypothetical. Purely hypothetical. ninja

Yeah, but she thinks that she's already told you, and it would seem awkward to ask again.
