To say that Tori’s sudden proposal came as a shock would have been an understatement. Mimi was completely floored by the pronouncement. Go to the dance without Tori? Was she joking? Because if she was, it wasn’t amusing in the slightest. She experienced a moment of profound relief when Touya declared their intentions to wait for the lavender-haired teen to emerge (not to mention a considerable amount of “melting” when he used her nickname).
She knew it was wrong, but she couldn’t help but experience the slightest twinge of envy towards Tori. It was incredibly unfair that she had the school’s more eligible bachelor practically stalking her, and, by all accounts, couldn’t have cared less. What girl wouldn’t die to have Touya Kuramoto begging them for a date? Without Tori’s presence, she was honestly worried that she would do something she would genuinely regret. Being alone with Touya, even for a short amount of time, was a bad idea.
She was beginning to shake her head at Tori’s second chastisement, when Touya caught her completely off-guard. She sat, stunned, as he pulled out a gorgeous corsage, before presenting it to her with all teasing familiarity a girl could wish for. It took her a few moments to register that he’d actually asked her to attend the dance with him.
Her. Mimi Rendim, an absolutely nobody, who’s only real accomplishments were attained in athletics, making her less than feminine. However, the only protest she could muster was a half-hearted, “What about Tori?”

The ambulence drove back to the school and dropped Kiyoshi off right at the front door. "Ok kid. You're good to go." said the driver as he gave him a thumbs up and drove off. Kiyoshi thought about what had just happened. He waved off the thought and walked around and saw the tree that he had started going crazy on. He saw that it had crashed to ground. "Well that's good to know." he said as he walked towards the gym.

Shizue nodded, a nerovus smile on her face. She wasn't exactly the most out-going person at the school, and there was no doubt that she was an inexperienced dancer. 'I'll just wing it..' The brunette laughed innerly, hoping that the outcome of her try wasn't going to be completely horrible. "Sure! I have to warn you though, I'm not the best dancer." She made her way slowly to the dance, occasionally pausing to let people pass her by in the crowded gymnasium.

"Don't worry. Niether am I." Akira said as he led Shizue to the dance floor. He was glad that a slow song was playing. He wrapped his arms around her waist and held her hand and started to dance preety slow.

Shizue laughed, feeling relieved. "I guess we have something in common then. Anything else?" She, in turn, put her hand on his shoulder and held his hand as well. There was a slight tinge of pink on her cheeks, as she knew her dancing skills weren't exactly up to par. "Mm...Do you like the outdoors? Like camping?"

"Yeah. I like to be an outgoing type of guy. I just can't stay inside sometimes. You?" he asked as he still moved almost as slow as a turtle.

"True. I can't really imagine you as the type to stay inside, reading all day." Shizue grinned. "No offense, or anything," she hastily added. "As for me, I love plants and gardening, and sometimes the best place to do things like that is outside. Plus I love camping." The brunette nodded slowly, recalling the last time she went camping. Pausing, she glanced at him questioningly, though a small, sly smile lingered. "You really aren't used to dancing, are you? Even less than me!"

"Believe me I don't like to dance. I mean I can, its just that I don't like too." he said as he looked at her. He knew that he could dance, but something was making him move too slow and it wasn't Shizune.

"Tori can catch up, right?" Touya responded with a grin. He reached out and took Mimi by the hand. "Please, I'd be truly honoured to have the privilege of taking you to this dance," he cooed and brought her hand up to his lips. With a smile, he began to tug Mimi out the door.
"Please don't say no, Mi-chan! You'll make me sad!" he added, pouting slightly at her.

Mimi nodded as she allowed herself to be pulled from the room, still in something of a daze of happiness. It was the best she could do under the circumstances, what with her hand still tingling from the gentle kiss that had been pressed to it. She swallowed a sudden ball of nerves that had become lodged in her throat. Tonight was about having fun, not worrying about what anyone would think of her.
She had the most adorable guy she had ever seen as a “date” (no matter what the circumstances might have been for their meeting) for a single night. She was intending to make the most of the situation. She didn’t even register the slight twinges of pain her feet were sending her. She could have been walking over hot coals and she hardly would have noticed. She squeezed Touya’s hand and gave him a blinding smile as she met his gaze.
Maybe tomorrow she would go back to being plain old Mimi, the one that no one noticed or cared about beyond her talent at athletics, but for tonight, she was reborn. She would be flirtatious, cool, attentive, a stunning conversationalist… Mimi smiled, a secret smile for herself, tonight, she promised herself, she would be absolutely perfect.

Haiuchi - You can have Jun and Alice come to the dance and meet up with Kiyoshi and Shizue or something. n.n;;

Nodding, she smiled a little. "I guess I can relate. I've always been a little self-concious of my dancing since I haven't ever really danced with someone that I know and trust well."

"Maybe a lot of people, including me, just think a little too much about what others think of them. I'll have to work on that." Rolling her eyes at herself, she squealed softly and laughed as he tipped her backwards. "Of course, you don't seem like that kind of guy. Or am I wrong?" She looked at him questioningly.
Shizue had always admired a person, male or female, if they were confident and sure about what they did. Not arrogant, but confident. Arrogance was a trait she disliked very strongly, especially when she noticed some of the school jocks strutting around campus like they own the school.

"I like to keep to myself, almost like Kiyoshi. We kinda share the same traits. We don't care what other people think about us. They could say whatever they want. It doesn't matter. You can't force someone to be something else. Everyone just has to be who they want to be." Akira said as he twirled her around a little.
