Alex placed her hand over her mouth as she chuckled softly, before trying to stifle a yawn.

Sage watched the sky's lighting, "Dinner and then home, probably could invite the princess along."

'There was once a knight known far and wide for his bravery and nobility. He was an enemy of all things evil and quashed corruption where'er it reared its ugly head. Upon hearing of a dragon that roosted in the mountains near his homeland, he struck out in search of the beast, to slay it. He found the beast and managed to cacth it off-guard. The dragon recovered quickly and what ensued was a battle that lasted for a week and a day. The heavens shook, the earth tremled and all of time and creation seemed to stop to see which of these titans would be the first to waver and perish. It was the knight. An errant stone in his path caused his steps to falter. The dragon saw his chance and lunged. The knight was slain, but not before his sword pierced the dragon's forearm. A monument was raised in honor of the knight's sacrifice and it was said that even the great Wyrm that defeated him came to pay its respects to its worthy foe.' Truth or falsehood?
Deidra sat back in her chair contemplating Tasuki's 'tale'. She had never heard of that particular story, event though her father had told her countless stories of his race's legends. Her eyes narrowed. "I am not too sure on this one, but may I take a wager that it is false?"

It looks like she might not refuse. I'd best home as well. Need to get patched up. There may just be a new transfer student in your school tomorrow. Ja ne!

Alex gave a nod and a smile to Genju as he left and turned poking Sage, "So what did you have in mind?"

Ah, there's the trick. That tale is false, so I guess I take a drink. However, that knight did exist, and he did try to kill a dragon. However, after a very long fight, the two called a truce, went out for drinks and enjoyed the company of some wonderful ladies who were looking for a couple of dashing knights to chase away their loneliness for a night. Mm...good year. Very nice.

Deidra watched him down a good portion of the bottle and raised a brow. "Don't worry about running out of wine. My father had a cellar bigger than this room full of vintage wine. I think he has a few dating back a few hundred years, I'll have to look.... She shook her head. "I suppose it's my turn again.." She sighed and paused for a few moments to think. "Hmm...I suppose there is a tale I could tell..." She grinned and hugged her bottle close. "Ok, this happened a few years before my father was born to his own father. His father, my grandfather was out hunting one winter's night when he came across what looked like a fox lying out in the snow. But when he got closer, it turned out to be a very young child who actually had fox ears and was wearing a large thick coat of fur of a dark reddish color. Well, my grandfather took the child home that night and set it by the fire to warm itself. My grandmother tried to remove the coat the child wore so it could be washed but the child refused to part with it and snuggled even deeper into the fur. The fox child made itself right at home and fell asleep in a make shift bed my grandmother made for it after they fed it some warm broth and milk. Well, my grandfather went back out that night looking for its mother so he could return the child to its rightful home, but he didn'y find a single clue of where the kit could have came from. So they kept the child overnight and when they woke up the next morning, the child was gone and in its place was a sealed envelope addressed to my grandparents thanking them for their kind hospitality. It was signed by the leader of the Shifters tribes, known for their Shifter form of the fox." She stopped and sighed again. "So, what is your judgement, milord?" She used the term jokingly.

Hmm...interesting choice. I will go with false, even though I recently met a kitsune-bito who could easily be a descendant of the one in that tale. And if you plan on having any kind of edge in this, I suggest you get me some of the oldest stuff you have.

Deidra raised a brow and nodded. "It's actually half-true. It actually happened to my mother when she went on a hunt with my father for the first time and I actually know a guy from that family. He's a little too tricky for my tastes, but he's a good friend and ally if you ever need one." She shrugged and took a sip of her wine and looked out into space, muttering. "Let's see...No that one is newer, maybe...no, that one is a little better. Ah, her they are. Damn cobwebs blocked them...." A few more bottles of wine appeared on the table and the unopened ones that were already there disappeared. Deidra picked one of the bottles up and read the date on them. "There we are. Now this is some good stuff." She pushed a few bottles towards Tasuki's way. "Would you like a few bottles dating back a couple hundred years?" She sat back in her chair, grinning. "Your turn."

Yes, actually, I would. So, who takes a drink on that last one? And before I start, might you have a name for this "tricky" kitsune you know? Is he a member of the Nine-Tails clan?

"We both take a drink since the tale was half true. I believe the boy's name was Genju or Genji...I can't remmeber the clan's name, it's been so long since I've last seen the clan..." She looked almost wistful as she remmebered a few lost memeories, but she shook her head and grinned. She reached over and opened one of the older bottles and took a long swig and set back on the table and blinked to clear her senses. "Damn, this stuff really does have a kick to it..." She blinked again and giggled.
