Io walked through the town, her small tiger boy sitting on her shoulder, keeping her company as she did the rounds. He didn't speak much, but she didn't mind. She was getting tired of being alone all the time.
Ice was still gone, Scagg had stopped playing with her since she became a teen, he was too busy working on fences and things. And Loki was working as well. She could have stopped by TB's, but TB was busy with her new store.
... She missed Cern, which was strange since she had hardly talked to him since the changing... but she did. And she hadn't really talked to any of the new masques, other then when they were fighting the rade that day... She sighed, shrugging it off. She couldn't talk to time, not without telling him everything.
And he didn't deserve that. Not yet. She paused, catching sight of Fauve... Did she remember? WHAT did she remember? Io slowly changed her direction, heading towards the other female. Maybe another teen would be good company.
...Hey.

Fauve jumped a little bit, not expecting the contact with Io. She stopped and looked at the... well.. they were the same age now.. kinda... She let her eyes turn up in a smile at the other teen 'Can't sleep either? I uh.. just kinda grew up.. and sleeping is really the last thing I feel like doing right now....' She trailed off, not wanting to babble.
She unconciously reached down straightening out her skirt, the movement jostling Inathe enough that he squawked quietly his indignation. 'I've just got alot to sort out... so.. Umm... anyway your out late....' Fauve glanced at the little creature on Io's shoulder and almost smiled larger, seemed shoulders were a good perching spot.

I'm the dark masque, Fauve. I like the dark. She smirked slightly, amused at the other girl. You just grew up, huh? What... What do you remember? I mean, if you want to talk about it, that is.
She turned slightly, looking at the moon as she waited for a reply. If they were going to talk it might be better to head for someplace quieter. But it depended on Fauve's reply.

Fauve looked at Io and tilted her head.. 'the weird thing is.. I'm not entirely sure... just happened so fast... it's jumbled up... maybe.... I was thinking earlier that if I could talk to someone about it.... it would make more sense... Ashy, well, we share everything but, we all have to cope in our own ways... I don't know if she'd want to talk....' She felt a little silly saying it out loud, but she didn't want anyone nearby to evesdrop on them.

Your sister, huh... There was a strange look in Io's eyes as she thought about that. Sometimes sisters shouldn't be trusted. She paused, looking over, then at the garden.
If you want, we could talk over there. Less people will be around to listen.

Fauve looked confused, she nodded a little... what did Io mean.. sisters shouldn't be trusted.. Ashirha and she had always been close.. she wouldn't do anything to hurt her and vise versa... right?
Lyra's words jumped back into her mind.. the jealousy... Fauve's blue eyes looked troubled as she started walking to where Io had gestured.. Inathe sensed his mother's mood and cooed in her ear, rubbing his head against her cheek to try and cheer her up.. she reached up and scratched under his chin. 'Ashy would.. she would never do anything to hurt me.. I know that.. without a shadow of a doubt..' but the tone of her voice left a little room for aforementioned doubt...

I once thought the same thing... Io said quietly, pulling herself up to sit on one of the finished parts of the wooden fence. But what's got you confused? Is it something in particular?
I know I haven't been... around much. I guess I need to be. It's... confusing right now. Especially for the ones growing up.

Fauve stopped near Io and leaned up against the fence.. 'I... well I met someone that said something, almost like what you just said... I don't know if I believe it.. you asked me what I remember.. i remember Ashy the best.. I remember you.. and most of the others.. but.. we're so different now then we were...And it is really confusing. I don't know, There are just certain aspects that... bother me.. I feel horribly attached to Kasai, and now he's little, and.. what I remember...' She trailed off, and looked up at Io.. 'Was it hard for you too?'

It just... keeps getting harder, actually. Io finally replied. Time... Nika... you've met him, right? Well he's my father. She turned, looking at Fauve. My father is a child now. Think how hard that is before you start complaining about your boyfriend being one.
But you need to be sure... To be sure that the others really HAVE changed from what they once were. I've been trying to figure that out, myself.
I can't.

Fauve glances at her and then turns to face her completely... 'Did your dad have a sister?' She was honestly curious about that one.. 'I.. I wasn't really trying to complain about Kasai.. I'm just confused about where we stand.. he seemed really upset that I grew...' She started fidgetting with her skirt.. 'I guess I'm going to have to watch them... and figure out how different I am.. because I know that this has changed me...'

A sister... Lyra? Have you-- We didn't find her mask, but... Io stopped, a scowl on her face as she went silent. If Lyra was around then they were in a lot more danger then with just Silva. If you run into her... if you have already, that is... don't tell her you asked me about her.
But... just wait on him, he'll change. Most of us will. And I don't know who I am anymore... I don't know if I did back then, either.

*sighs* I know that the sisters can cause problems, but I don't think they actually mean to hurt anyone. Don't worry Galilee, you are my friend and I am not going to dump you because you don't like Fauve, but I can't let Fauve go either.*shrugs slightly* Guess that is just how I am... *then looks over at Galilee sitting on his bed* So you were talking to Zahar *grins slightly* She softening up any?
*Twisting in her sleep, Cin sits straight up in bed wide awake.* Damn...guess I am not getting any rest tonight. *shivering slightly she gets up and throws on some clothes and then grabs her coat. The nightmares always left her chilled. Shaking off the cold Cin heads toward the kitchen to make some tea.*

Fauve blinked.. she got that confused look again.. 'Yeah.. that was her name... but.. She seemed really nice to me...' Fauve wasn't sure who to trust.. she really didn't know Io that well now.. this was the first time they had ever really spoken. Io had been horribly concerned about her when she had gotten lost however... She looked away from Io and nodded a little 'At the risk of seeming stupid.. why shouldn't I tell her?' Fauve kind of got the idea that Io didn't think much of her right now.
Honestly Fauve didn't think much of herself right now, she felt all out of sorts. Her blue eyes travelled back to look at Io... She just didn't know who to trust.. Lyra was definately nicer then Io, but that didn't necessarily mean anything. Fauve knew from personal experience that nice didn't always mean that someone was a good person. She'd watched Nika from beside Merci when G_E'd started yelling at him to get out of the tree. She'd watched for Lyra, to comfort her and let her know that her brother was safe. Looking at Io now, she really started questioning her reality, nothing seemed safe anymore, not even Ashirha.

Because she's dangerous. Io replied, sighing. And she lies. Especially to people that don't believe she's dangerous. She shrugged, looking out at the garden. Like... me.

Fauve turned her head away from Io again and crossed her arms across her stomach.. Her mind voice dropped into a whisper 'Why is it that nothing can be easy... Merci was talking to me about some kind of thing.. Karma? Just wonder what we did that was bad enough to cause this to happen....' She dropped her head.. Fauve honestly didn't care if she looked fragile or weak.. she was right now...
Her hand came up from her stomache and she flicked her mask lightly.. 'I can't remember what I looked like...' She knew she was babbling.. Fauve felt the edges of her mask, for some reason.. the fact it wasn't coming off was really hitting her suddenly... She straightened up and turned her head back to Io.. her eyes looked strained, but still tilted up in a smile.. 'Everything will work out...'
Inathe's head swiveled around and he stared at the forest.. the shadows at night played havoc with his eyesight.. but he still felt uneasy.. shifting slightly on Fauve's shoulder.
