Loius is the first one in my list. Him being bound forever to tragedy is romantis(for me at least...) He respects human life and is very much attached to his own humanity. He also has that innocence that you just want to watch how it will survive in a cruel world.
Lestat is like a mentor to me. Every time I read his words, he makes me want to start a religion that is based on his beliefs. His beliefs are simple yet very complex. Somehow he makes you say "yes" to everything that he says.

My favorite character is Maharet.
There are so many reasons why, but first and foremost I love how strong she is. Not the physical aspect - though that is pretty impressive, too - but her will. Her desire to track her genealogy, how she always seems to have the perfect thing to say, how she seems to be there when she's needed the most and that she's just overall very beautiful. I've read QotD twice in english and once in German. It's just my most favorite book. I'm also impressed at what she did (not listed, due to spoilers) in Memnoch the Devil.

Claudia is my favorite, but she is followed closly by Maharet, Maker (sp?), Lestat's mother, and Armand.
Claudia has always had my heart, just like she had Louis.
Maker and Maharet were some of the first vampires and that is just awsome! and Maharet is so strong and the only vampire to have never slept.
Lestats mothers because she took the gift so willingly and made the most of it.
And Armand, because of his depth and beauty.

Louis is my absolute favorite, simply because I find him adorable in a kicked puppy type way. Lestat is a close second because he is just so damn amusing. He does exactly what everyone tells him not to do and I love it. Third is Armand because...well...just sorta because. ( And I always imagine him with freckles to.)
I know he is not a vampire but I Love Lasher, with a capital L! He's so creepy and I love it! So out of all the Mayfair charcters Lasher is my number one!
