Leo seemed to be completely speechless ... Perfect. Everything was playing according to the plan that he was creating. But .. why was this female not melting at his feet? Instead of focusing upon slowly destroying the male, he focused his attention onto Piper.
He let his eyes close slightly .. and he grinned to her, giving a slightly amused laugh in her direction. Alright, he would play along with her hard-to-get game. Soon he would be within her mind, picking apart every piece of her heart and soul. He moved closer to Piper .. glancing at her up, and down .. examining every bit of her physical self .. before his eyes met up with her's once again.
"Thank you for the introductions, Piper." He mused, raising a brow while slowly beginning to circle her .. "Very kind of you." He would try to get her to trust him, he felt her barriers and walls grow and close her up as he got even closer to her.
Then he turned back to Nala, giving her the sweetest of smiles.
"I hope I did not hurt you, Nala. I'm sure Leo would not forgive me if I did." He smirked .. Ah, this was too funny.

*Nala's eyes rolled back as she moved herself away from everyone. She felt sick. Her stomach hurt and her head felt light. Nala moved herself to nuzzle Leo before whispering in his ear.*
"I am going to go lie down... I will be waiting for you when you are done."
*Her head moved to hang low as she bowed her head at everyone, before moving herself away. What was this? She felt herself grow rather tired now. Her eyes narrowed as she thought about what could have happened to make her--... stopping she let out a slight gasp. Could it be? Was she... Her eyes narrowed as he moved herself to sit under the shade of a tree, watching everyone.*

His eyes narrowed as he watched Nala walk away .. and then he paused in his thinking. Of course! He realized why she continued to seem within a daze. It was all because of that male. No wonder he was extremely jealous .. that female was holding part of himself within her. He knew when the line was being crossed. He wasn't evil, but he wasn't good either. Yet he knew not to mess with a lioness that was potentially carrying cubs.
"Perhaps you should watch after her." He suggested to Leo with a fierce tone.

Leo gave Mirage a final menacing glance and then walked after Nala. She didn;t seem right somehow. "Nala? Nala are you alright?" He came up and layed down next to her, resting his paw on hers and lightly nuzzling her neck. She seemed different somehow.... almost.... even more beautiful than usual.
Piper followed Mirage with her eyes as he circled her and raised her eyebrows. She didn't particularly like the way he was looking at her. She sat down and wrapped her tail about her, making herself seem smaller. "Can I help you in some way or are you just going to continue circling me like a vulture?" She asked sarcastically.

He let Leo tend to Nala .. although he would interfere if he did anything wrong. As much of a b*****d that Mirage was, he did care about those in need ... at times. Well, okay, only when he could get something out of it, but still. He had a slight good side, right?
Mirage slowed in his circling around Piper, and he eventually came to a stop right before her. Moving his muzzle close to her own .. he stared within her eyes. What was it about her that he liked so much right now? Was it her sarcasm? The repulsed attitude that she portrayed? This one was different, he always enjoyed a challenge.
"Are you admitting that you're my prey?" He whispered curiously, his smile revealing those strong fangs. He just wanted to play around with her for now. With a flicker of his tail, he brought it up to tickle it for a moment against the bottom of her chin.

*Nala moved her self up as she spoke, her tail played along her side, as Leo moved to rest with her.*
"Mmm-- Leo, I think you and I better find a good place to settle down soon."
*Nala trailed off as she moved herself to lie back slightly, resting her back against Leo. Her eyes narrowed as she looked for the right words to use in a time like this- but came up with nothing.*
"It's just, Leo, we will need to find a place to make a family."
*She hinted before licking at her front paws; her head really did hurt.*

She jerked her chin away from his touch and stared at him through unreadable eyes. "I'm nobody's prey." She said in a whisper. Boy this guy was persistent. She gave a slight smirk, if he thought his charismatic manner was going to get him anywhere he was wrong. She raised her head and defiantly looked into his eyes.
"I don't think my brother cares for you too much." She said with a grin as her eyes flickered for a moment at the trees that Leo and Nala had vanished into. Secretly that kind of made Mirage more interesting. She loved annoying Leo. Her eyes made their way back to his and she gave him a penetrating look. Trying to guess what he was thinking.

Leo just stared at Nala for almost a full minute before finally speaking. "A.. family....?" He smiled and his face was overcome with happiness mixed with nervousness. "Are you saying.... Nala, are you pregnant?"

"So that little .." He paused, and cleared his throat .. "Ahem, so. Leo is your brother?"
He sneered and looked over as well towards the area where the two love birds seemed to vanish. "You aren''t blood related, I hope." He smirked, shaking his head at her. He made himself comfortable, sitting upon his haunches .. and he contemplated laying down next to her .. but this would have to do for now.
He enjoyed the fact that she was holding back .. this made it all the more entertaining. It would take some time to crack into her mind, but it would have to be done! He narrowed his eyes, peering into her''s as well .. His brow raised, and his breathing slowed .. Their gaze was locked, and he felt his mind start to explore her own. There was much depth within her, he was intrigued.

*Nala did not speak, she felt herself grow rather embarrassed again. Her eyes moved to play along his own as she smiled and nodded, before pulling her head under his chin; nuzzling him softly. She wanted Leo to be alright with this sudden news, but at the same time, she was over come with a slight fear of being rejected or hurt. What would happen to them when the cubs where born? She smiled and moved herself to think more positive, her eyes closed slightly, as she purred.*

She gave a slight laugh as she thought about what he had been about to say. "Only in spirit." She said with a grin. "You should give him a break. He can't help that he is so hopelessly and disgustingly in love." She laughed again, it was just too easy for Mirage to mess with Leo. She would have to remember to tell Leo not to be so perturbed by Mirage's actions.
She was about to say something else when suddenly Mirage turned his gaze on her and she was overcome with a feeling that he was looking inside her. She tried to shut her eyes but found she was lost in his gaze. This feeling of him penetrating her mind was not something she was appreciating. With a half moan half growl she jumped back from him and the strange link was broken. Panting she glared at him through slitted eyes. She decided then and there that whenever she was around him she would have to work to keep her emotions and her mind in control.

Leo felt himself grow numb for a few moments as he let this information sink in. Finally he bent his head down and licked her cheek. "Well, if we are going to have a family we better find a nice safe place to raise them." He grinned and placed his paw gently on her stomach. He couldn't believe he was going to be a father!! It was amazing.

*Nala smiled and nodded before moving herself up slightly.*
"What are we waiting for then?"
*She asked wit ha deep smile. She wanted to get this over with before she became too far in to move around anymore. Her eyes narrowed as she eyed Piper and the dark male.*
"You think Piper will be able to take care of herself out there- he seems rather... tricky."
*She nodded as she spoke, before turning back to Leo, a sweet smile upon her maw.*

Leo laughed, "Believe me, Piper can take care of herself. And even if she couldn't, she wouldn't ask for or want help anyways." He shrugged and smiled. "Now, what do you say me and you go find us a nice little place?" He nuzzled her neck and helped her up. "Lead the way. Your doing the hard part so you get to pick the place." He grinned and licked her nose.

He liked her. She was sassy, confident, and independent. So much unlike the other lionesses that he had encountered. The others were so weak, so easily taken over .. She had spunk to her, and more within her.
"Oh? A break?" He smirked, and clawed his paw along the ground, uprooting some of the grass. ".. Come now, I don't think you really want me to give him a break." A nod was made, and he explored, wondering how she would react to that comment. He could feel that she enjoyed her 'brother' .. but did she really like the fact that he could bully him around? Perhaps so. If that were the case, he liked Piper even more.
He began to move closer to her .. closer, and closer .. But she broke away? Argh! He felt a rage build within him, like a fire wanting to engulf the dryest of grasslands .. but he refrained, knowing that if he showed his angered side that all of his chances would be shattered.
Gulping down some air, he closed his eyes .. grabbing hold of his composure. This was a challenge, that he needed to take, he shouldn't get frustrated by slight signs of failure .. the project had just started. He lowered his upper body, and sidestepped .. looking at her curiously. Then, he thudded to the ground, laying down in a relatively comfortable position. The shade of the tree was cast upon the ground perfectly, and he nodded to her.
"No need to be nervous.." He smirked again, knowing very well that she wasn't nervous .. but that perhaps she would try to prove that she wasn't afraid of him. "I won't bite you .." Not too hard, he thought.
