It is correct to say that you CAN dress however you wish. But in being a Christian, one tries to follow Christ and become more like him each day (after all, "christian" does mean "Christ-like"). It's one thing to wear a shirt that may show your stomach a bit - on Gaia, it's hard to find a shirt that DOESN'T. But it's quite another to be one of those people who walks around Gaia in their underdrawers.
We are to honor God in everything we do. Just remember, whatever you choose to wear (on Gaia or in real life), how you DRESS reflects your heart .

Forgive me if I continue to disagree with you.

I wear a lot of black and dark shades of colors. Does that mean my heart is filled with dark thoughts?

Not really, no. I'm currently wearing a black skirt with magenta stripes down the side, but I'm not evil, either. Dark colors are worn for many reasons. Some people do wear them because they "feel dark," but others simply like dark colors. Some people find them slimming. I'm not griping about color. I was talking about unnecessary skin.

Define unnecessary.

Sometimes I wonder if you're just testing my patience. I'm sure you're well aware of what I meant when I said "unnecessary skin." If I can clearly see your chest, stomach, or butt, you need to be wearing more, male or female.

I was asking that because there are some people (and I have met them. They go to my church) who think that wearing sleeveless shirts is showing unnecessary skin.

But would you agree that in real life there are some places where it is ok to "show unnecessary skin"?

Like where? In the shower? Name a place where it is necessary to be immodest.

I was talking about a bathing suit. Or are we supposed to go back to the nineteen whatevers where women had to be covered from neck to foot to go swimming?

There are some very modest swimsuits these days. A tankini with a skirted bottom is just as fun to swin in as a bikini.

And what about guys? Do they have to wear shirts with their swimsuits?

And another example of where it's ok to "be immodest" is a nudist colony.

I don't actually feel the need to reply to the nudist colony remark, but I honestly can't tell you what to wear. I've stated this on several occasions. I'm merely pointing out my preferences, that's all. Due to our free will, no one has to give a care about what I'm saying, so why do you care so much? You're the only person here who has bothered to take this to such a level. Are you trying to prove something?

I'm trying to start a discussion. I'm trying to play the devil's advocate. Why does it matter why I care so much? I'm not trying to prove anything.

That and I'm also rebellious and whenever someone tells me what to believe, what to wear, etc, my hot headed side takes over. That's kinda why I'm surprised that I haven't been kicked out of this guild yet.

lol, I have no intention of kicking you out of this guild, nor do the other mods. I think we're past the discussion stage on this one. Besides, I'm not telling you to do anything, I'm just suggesting. What do you say we call it quits on this for now?
