Miko-chan the NekoZuki Sephiroths samurai girl Anime_S2er I haven't read that far into the series, only up to volume 13, but so far, I don't see how Akito could be the one that suffers the most. No spoilers please xP Did something happen to him when he was really young to make him act so like-the-way-that-he-does? Must've been really bad to make him the person that he is neutral If you don't want any spoilers we can't really tell you about her past. ^^; Just keep up with the story, and you'll find everything out. And yeah, there are tons of Akito spoilers floating around here, so tread carefully^^ Lolz, kay and thanks =)

^ Ha yeah I gotta agree with you there....
But I think Yuki suffers the most...cuz he was rejected AND abused...I mean, I'd rather just be rejected, but he got the blunt end of it...but hey that's just me...

Mmm, I don't know if that's a very fair question. I mean, all the characters suffer, but they all suffer in very different ways...apples and oranges, y'know? But if I had to pick, probably Yuki. All of his insecurities and self loathing and messed up history and family...the poor kid. At least Kyo got to live with Kazuma.

I don't think any one of them is worse off than the others... They all have their own stories, and each suffers in their own way.

my god, i couldnt possible decide. I mean its like everyone has had their problems... well not EVERYONE, but MOST of the characters have, for example:
Kyo- shunned from the zodiac, treated as a worthless being, not loved by father, and not "truely" loved by mother, etc...
Yuki- Mother beat him, used him as a "tool", mentally tortured by Akito, to sum him all up: HORRIBLE CHILDHOOD, etc...
Rin- Cant really be with the one she loves, brutally beated by Akito, scorned from parents, broken home, etc..
Hatori- Hasnt had it too bad, but wasnt able to be with the one he loved, lost love, beaten by Akito
Ritsu- Seen as constant failure by parents
Kisa- emotionally insecure, teased at young age, beaten by Akito, etc..
Momiji- Denied by his mother, isnt able to be near his sister and mother *the ones he loves*, must live with the rejection his moither bestoed on him....
emmm.. who else??!?!?! i mean, i think they've ALL gone through their own shares of suffering, whether it was physically, emotionally, mentally, etc... they've all been through hard times... its just that each one has a different story and suffers in a different way.

I am leaning toward Kyo and momiji..Kyo has his other form, and that has GOt to be really hard to deal with, I mean look how he reacted in the 6th book! so sad..Not to mention all the put-downs he has had to enfure, from his dad, Akito, and basicly the Sohmas in general...then theres that thing..Spoilerage in le whiteness!!>>>( The possibility that he had something to do with Kyoko's death, that traumatized him, and that is why he ran away to the mountains for 4 months... ) Gah, poor Kyo! crying crying
But Momijis story is also really saddening...what with his mother rejecting him from birth...and not being able to see his mom or his little sister...so very sad... crying crying All way to sad really good question thou, Kyo, after reading this kyo suffered the most.

i think that momiji is the one who suffers the most. I mean, his mom doesn't recognize him and also his sister. Also, even if his curse was broken, he still wasn't happy>

Sephiroths samurai girl Seeing as they all suffer in different ways you can't really say that one is worse off then the other. Kyo - Mother killed herself, is gonna be locked up + Tohru loves him, Kazuma is kind to him and accepts him Yuki - His mother gave him to Akito to get a better family status, he was mentally damaged thanks to Akito. + he found the courage to escape, Tohru is his friend as well as many others, he's in love with Machi, he's getting on better with his brother. Momiji - his mother wanted nothing to do with him, he can't play the violin any more because of Momo, Akito hates him. + Momo wants him to be her brother, his father loves him, he has a crush on Tohru. Shigure - hmm nothing really + He's in love with Akito (also counted as a bad thing if you want it to be), he slept with Ren Akito's mother, he has two great friends. Hatori - He's blind in his left eye thanks to Akito, he lost his girlfriend/second cousin Kana because of Akito. + He gets together with Mayu-chan in the end, he's finally begining to get a little happier. Ayame - He regrets what he did to his brother, he feels alone in the world. + His brother is finally starting to like him. He's been dating Mine for a while now secrectly. Kagura - She only played with Kyo because it made her feel better and forced herself to love him at first after convincing him to take his beads off then running away, She'll never be with Kyo. + She has a loving mother, for sme reason she's refused to give up on Kyo after crying alone for days. Haru - Rin broke up with him, he was teased for being the cow when he was younger, he has a split personality. + Rin still loves him, he's one of the few Akito hasn't hurt yet. Kisa - She was beaten by Akito and took two weeks to fully heal, she's been bullied in school because of her appearance. + Tohru is like a sister to her, her mother loves her, Hiro loves her, the bullying has stopped. Hiro - He saw Rin get pushed out the window, it was kinda his fault Kisa started to get picked on, he feels weak and childish. + He's finally growing up, he's in love with Kisa who loves him too. Rin - She was pushed out a window by Akito, she was lied to by Ren who only used her, she was locked up by Akito in the neko room, her parents didn't want her anymore after she asked why they were so happy and all the other zodiac and their parents weren't. + Haru loves her and she's slept with him, Tohru is taking care of her, she's gotten back together with Haru. Kureno - Akito found out he was released by the curse and began screaming at him, he's promised to always stay by Akito's side and to look after her, he's not allowed to see the other zodiacs appart from new years when he doesn't get to talk to them much, he's not allowed to leave the estate too often, he can't see Arisa again because of his promise to Akito, he's slept with Akito so she could make Shigure jealous. + He can hug normal people, he's in love with Arisa. Akito - She's dying/ very sick, her mother decided to raise her as a man, her mother would prefer to be dead with Akira than with Akito, she's mentally unstable because of finding out Kureno isn't cursed, she doesn't have a bond with the zodiacs as the other gods did. + She's in love with Shigure, she's slept with him, he's one of the few people who're kind to her, she did have kind of a happy childhood. If you think about it really Kureno is the one with the worst life. OMG! YOU FORGOT RITSU. HOW COULD YOU?! crying

The whole series is an angst-fest.
but if I had to pick I'd say Hatori.
Just seeing the him looking out the window at the snow makes me nearly cry every time I watch the opening theme.

*Spoilers to anyone who cares and hasn't read #13, just thought I'd warn you*
I'd say they all suffer a lot, but I personally think that Momiji's got it the worst out of everyone. Like everyone's been saying, his mother forgot he was her son, and he's always going to his father's office to check up on her all the time because he feels some sort of responsibility that he needs to watch over them. Doing this is a pretty painful thing because I've sort of been in the same kind of situation. Not only that, since Momo ran into Momiji she wanted him to be her brother, even though she doesn't know they really are related, so they both want to be together, even though seeing each other is impossible because if they did it would hurt Momiji and Momo's dad. And on top of that, Momiji's dream was to become a professional violinist and give a concert for his family, but since Momo wanted to start taking lessons, Momiji's dad made him stop, so unless he practices really hard, it'd be pretty tough to go pro. I mean, that seriously sucks. crying

Hmm...That's a toughie. All of them suffer a lot, but I think Rin, Kyo, and Momiji suffer the most.
Rin, ((SPOILERS))in the 14th volume (which I have, and I am happy because it has Kureno-san on it ^^), you see trying to protect Haru from the curse, trying desperately to free him, but she gets sick a lot, so that doesn't help her. Rin cries about twice to Tohru because she things there's no way to break the curse or something like that.
Kyo, ((SPOILERS)) suffers a lot because 1. His dad left him and blames him for 'killing' his mother, when his mother actually commited suicide and 2. He is the cat of the zodiac, is ostracized by the Sohma family, can't beat Yuki because of fate, and has been told that he will be confined when he finishes high school. Apparently, he has a lot of pressure to carry on his shoulders ((MAJOR SPOILERS)) . Another thing that bugs him is that he feels guilt. For what, you may ask? Well, he knew Tohru's mother. The day that Kyoko got in the car accident, Kyo was there. He could've saved her, but that would mean embracing her and transforming to the cat. So, he picked not to save her and not to transform to the cat. After that, Kyo swears he heard Kyoko say,"I will never forgive you." Or something like that before she's taken to the hospital, and that's when Kyo leaves to train in the mountains for four months.
Momiji, ((SPOILERS)) , like Falafel25 said, is sad because he can't see Momo and he was really happy and sad when Tohru told him that Momo wanted Momiji to be her big brother, even though she doesn't know they're related, but Momo thinks they are because "He looks like Mama." Plus, Momiji suffers from everthing else Falafel25 said, and I agree with him.

I haven't heard all their stories yet, but you kinda already know that they're all suffering. I only heard Hatori & Momiji's story....but out of the two Momiji's story made me cry, because I really don't know what I would do if I was in Momiji's shoes.

WWAAIITTTT IS AKITO A GIRL????!!!!!! but i think yuki suffers the mosst cause i mean ayame didnt even stand up for him. In volume 13, his mom is so mean!
