oh, as far as prizes go, I have some things. I still have butterfly mantillas or chestplate of arachnes and some other donation items too. I always have donation items, or almost always.

I used to. I stopped doing mass donations, for a bit- until we get moved and set up north.

I know what you mean, I'm thinking of cutting back a little since I'm trying not to spend as much money. I don't like spending as much when I'm not working.

Suggestion: Should we have an announcement post that members need to sign? Something with our disclaimer on it, you know- one of those "Rules: Blah...

Might be a good idea. I mean, I tried to put that stuff in the home page and people see that every time they come in but they could still be jerks about it if something happened. That's one of the reasons I made the guild hidden, so only members who have to abide the rules and hopefully who have common sense could read stuff. But that's still no garanty. It'd be good to cover our butts if someone decides to not be sensible about stuff.

We could also just add a little bit on the guild home page saying that by agreeing to join the guild you agree to follow the rules and disclaimer and stuff. I believe I recalled that you had a great disclaimer in the public guild. I could put that on the home page.

I think I might add that "By posting here you agree..." bit to the thread, too. I like the idea of directing no-reason join requests to the public thread, too- what do you think? Edit: Also, how about a guild mule? Not to head the guild, but if we have a mule, we can add all members to her friendslist and use it as a mass mailing list and a way to keep track of stuff. (For mass PM's of "checking on member activity" and maybe even a newsletter at some point, or maybe the herb of the week each time a new one comes out, and for announcements like contests or events)

I've noticed that we have several posts about the same stuff...like weight control. True, some are "help me gain!" and some are "help me loose!" but they both fall under that category.
Perhaps making a thread for "weight problems" one for "skin conditions" one for "colds/flus" etc. might be a good idea. That way you don't have to search throgh a lot of stuff to find what you need.

Malkut I have a mule I can offer up. Infin_etty is her name. Would you object to renaming her? (Curious). I have an email for the guild mule to use (to keep spam into real accounts down and such). I was thinking of a contest to name the mule. ^^

Maybe you can clean them up a little? So things do not look so cluttered?
It'll help with the guild's appearance; unless the guild is "hidden" in which case people can not see it anyway - unless they're a member.

It'll help with the guild's appearance; unless the guild is "hidden" in which case people can not see it anyway - unless they're a member. We're hidden- since some of the information in here can be dangerous if misused. That's the other reason I was thinking to screen join requests, is we don't want just anyone getting in here and learning things that could be used for bad. I mean, some of these herbs are excellent, but some of them are also deadly if misused. Hm, though. Maybe we can consolidate some of them into one place? I'm not sure how, though. The announcements, I'm sure, can go away after a while- maybe a month or something? That should be long enough to let everyone see them. (Teranika's announcement is temporary too). As for the stickies, maybe if we... Hm.... *le sigh* Any ideas?

We could put the links/associated guilds into the welcome to the guild thread. We could also just have people say their recommendations for new members in there as well. I also deleted the banner contest thread, since it's been a while since that was over.
