Shikamaru stared at the look on Ino's face, and inwardly gave a sigh of relief. Now she wouldn't be able to kill him like usual.
So he managed to discover one good asset to being a porcupine, after all.
His eye then caught the cat, who was apparently making a failed attempt at leaving. "Who are you again?" Shikamaru asked, still incapable of figuring it out.

Kakashi sighed. "I have no idea, Sakura. But knowing Tsunade... if she's turned into an animal herself, she's probably just having a huge rampage rather than attempting to solve the issue." He suggested as if it's already happened several times. Which it has.
They took the bend around the corner, where in the distance they could just make out the corner of the building.
'Finally.' Kakashi thought. It usually only took him two minutes to reach the missionary, so nearly an hour was a bit much.

Sasuke winced, then turned around.
"It me. Sasuke. Now are we done here? I want to see if there are any jutsus that can reverse this. I've been stared at one too many times."

"Shika, why are you a porcupine? It's not fair."
Ino sat down and pouted some more. Ino examined him to find a spot without spikes and relized it was impossible. She sighed a very saddened sigh.
"Well, might as well get going to Tsunade-sama's place and get this fixed. The look your giving me now deserved as good whooping, but I can't touch you or else I'll get pricked."
Ino lowered her head and waddled away.

Mirroring Kakashi's sigh Sakura stated, "You're right. She's certifiably insane, but then again, aren't we all? I mean, we are in this screwed up situation!"
The duo continued down the street, and the fox secretly wished Tsunade really was on a rampage. This wasn't half bad, and even though the village could possibly be in danger (which she was once again doubting), they'd all have the day off! And Sakura really didn't want to train today. Tsunade had strated teaching her abcess removal and she somehow always got squirted in the face with some disgusting fluid. She couldn't help but shudder.
Soon they reached the steps of their destination.
"Do you ever get a horrible idea that even though something isn't good, you find it to be positive?" She glanced at her sensei to gauge his reaction, just to see if he thought she was crazy.

Kakashi gave Sakura 'the look'. The look that always proved itself unreadable under any condition. The look that usually wound up intimidating his victims. There was a long pause and then Kakashi's face relaxed and he faced frontwards once again. "That depends." He answered simply. He had a pretty good idea about what she was talking about, but as a general statement, he had to provide a general answer.
Next, they finally entered the building and trotted on towards Tsunade's office.
Kakashi almost swore he just heard a distant crash.

Shikamaru inwardly celebrated, but couldn't help but feel a very small bit of sympathy for Ino... oh, who was he kidding? He was actually free for a few moments, at least. But, even still... there was something there. He watched the little ground hog waddle away, and instantly felt that little pang of guilt return.
Quickly waddling up to Ino's side, Shikamaru decided he would atleast walk with her. As troublesome as it was, he still hated seeing his teammate upset, so he would quit being a jerk, and accompany her like a gentleman.

Sasuke scampered to the library, his padded feet tapping against the pavement. Upon reaching there, he tried opening the door, and failed. He pushed and pushed the glass barrier, almost having enough room to squeeze through, but he ended up having to sit on the mat outside.
Oh great...

(( You gotta! I figured I needed something of interest in that last post. XP ))
Sakura grimaced awkwardly as Kakashi stared at her, and once he turned away she couldn't help but shudder. That look sent a shiver down her spine. Couldn't he talk like a normal person? Though she really hadn't posed a normal question. The fox sighed and resigned herself to ponder her thoughts by herself.
"Kakashi-sensei's so perplexing," she said inwardly, "But he wouldn't be the same if he didn't act so mysterious." She stole a glance to her side, the mutt still trotting along casually.
As they reached Tsunade's office, loud thuds could be heard beyond the wood door. Evidently the Hokage was not in a good mood. Not that she normally was, but Sakura had dared to hope.
((So who's gonna be Tsunade?))

Ino noticed the quick approch of the porcupine and continued walking.
"looking for Tsunade-sama, too, Shikamaru?"
Ino turned a corner and tried her best to follow the instructions Kakashi-sensei gave her moments ago.
Sorry, I'm tired and way off my game. I did my best. I need a nap. xp

Sasuke waited impatiently for someone to come to his aide. Now a little cat, he could do nothing to open the large glass door. All his attempts resulted in looking humorous while smacking against the door, then arching his back and hissing. This went on for quite some time until he laid down on the mat in front, eventually falling asleep.

[erm... we shall claim her as an NPC for now until someone decides to take over. 3nodding ]
Reaching the door to Tsunade's office, the crashes and bangs were soon discovered to be coming from right behind the door. To no surprise, of course.
Slowly and daringly, Kakashi pushed his way through the door and the very first sight his glossy eyes laid upon nearly had Kakashi roll over laughing. He was much too cool to actually do so, of course, but he definitely had a difficult time restraining himself.
The sight itself was of a fuzzy little brown creature - more specifically, a meerkat - pacing frantically around the room, kicking and punching random objects. Huddled, frightened, in the corner Kakashi also noticed a black and white horse. He had a pretty good idea about who was who.
Clearing his throat - which, to his dismay, was alot deeper and scruffier than his normal voice - to announce his presence, he cautiously took a few more steps into the room.
"Tsunade-sama... if I may have a word?" Kakashi requested politely.
The meerkat stopped in a huff, and gave Kakashi a look that said 'I am really not in the mood'. But then she realized, despite her wishes, that it was her duty whether she liked it or not. "Yes, yes... I know why you're here. And in a moment's time all of Konoha will probably be joining us too!" She exclaimed, clearly annoyed. "To be frank with you... I have no idea what this... thing... is all about... but it is certainly a curse of some sort by no doubt the work of that damned Orochimaru!" She slammed her fist against the front of her desk, leaving a cracked dent.
"If I may give a suggestion..." Kakashi began, "why not make an overall announcement to the entire village from atop of the roof? Sakura and I can help to gather the villagers." He suggested.
Tsunade still didn't look too pleased. "Oh, sure... like you expect the village to co-operate after being transformed into bloody animals! Look outside right now, they're all starting to go crazy!" She exclaimed, waving her furry little arms around to try and emphasize her point.
"Tsunade-sama... the only reason the villagers are freaking out right now is because they are all lost without any means of guidance. You say any moment all of Konoha will barge into this very building? I wonder why that is..." Kakashi mentioned sarcastically. "They're obviously seeking your help; so if you stand out before them, no doubt they will pay attention and settle down. Trust me on this." Kakashi wondered what had gotten into him - suddenly attempting to take charge and all. He supposed all his years leading in the ANBU Ops still hadn't quite worn off.
Tsunade sighed, frustratingly, at a loss of what to do. She supposed in the long run she could just run away and pretend she was going after Orochimaru herself and then fake death and live like a hermit the rest of her life. But honestly, she felt that was just even more compicated.
Looking back up at Kakashi after a long pause, she had finally come to a decision. "All right. I'll do it. If it doesn't work, though, I expect you to be directly beside me with a spectacular Plan B right up your sleeve, Hatake Kakashi... or you're dead meat before you can even say 'Hokage'." She said very clearly.
Kakashi nodded in agreement, and then exited the room with a greater feeling of relief. He was still going to stick to his promise, though, and go gather as much villagers as he could and tell them to do the same.
Looking sideways at Sakura, Kakashi gave her a slight smile. "See? Being an animal isn't so different... we still get to do missions!"

((Eh. Sorry if this doesn't flow well. XP ))
As Kakashi entered Tsunade's office quite directly and confidently, Sakura couldn't help but lag behind a bit. "What could Tsunade-shishou be?" she thought. "I bet something big and terrifying like a... a..." at that moment she peered beyond the dog in front of her into the semi-destroyed room, "MEERKAT?!?"
Sakura could barely control her laughter, so she made a wide turn to go around the Hokage and headed over to Shizune... the big horse in the corner.
'Umm, so how is everything," she questioned the woman turned equine beofre noticing the obvious answer, "Obviously not well. But how are you fairing?" Shizune's reply was an intimidated whinny, so the fox backed off and headed towards Kakashi once again, just catching the part where he so generously offered their services to the enraged Hokage.
So the village did need guidance and it was Tsunade's job... but why did they have to get dragged into it? Duty. Right. Where did this sense of apathy come from, and why was Kakashi being so valiant? It was a strange day indeed, but Sakura just swished her bushy tail and nodded along with the mutt's statements. He was certainly right about all that.
When Tsunade finally accepted his plan- with a threat if it failed to boot- Kakashi gave a reassuring smile. At least that's what she chose to view it as. "Right. Just our luck," she replied unenthusiastically, though she had a contradictary smile planted on her face.
"Well, it is the best way we can help, though I wonder if anyone can still use jutsus in this form. People might have some injuries from stampeding, so if I can still control my chakra, that'll be a big help." The two exited the office from which Konoha's leader could still be heard grumbling, and began to formulate a plan to organize the townspeople.
