"I suppose this conversation isn't ending soon," She said, reaching down to unstrap the heavy leather bindings on her shoes, pulling out six throwing daggers, laying them on the counter. She then pulled of the strange beads tied to the shoelaces, and carefully removed the dirk hidden between her leg and boot. Repeating for the second boot, she stretched and curled her toes.
"Sorry about that, my feet were killing me." She sat down in a chair across from Kelbora, feet dangling off the ground slightly and elbows propped up, chin resting on her palms.
"From what I gathered it's pretty much fallen. I didn't bother to learn much. Your sellers just happened to be in the right place at the right time for me. I had to find a guardian quickly. I don't have much time. I needed a female, and one physically strong. You just fit, sorry if that doesn't solve any curiosities."
Gelir figured she shouldn't just leave the weapons on the counter, but hey, if Kelbora was in a position to have a mindset in which she might use them, it would be four on one quickly.
--------------------------
Acharn grinned. "Hobbies...hmm. Sitting, reading, sitting, bothering Fael, sitting, annoying Gelir, did I say sitting? Apparently, my safety is so in danger that I can't even have lunch in the main cafe area until school settles in. And whose to say I'd accept your advances little lady, I don't believe your quite my type. I prefer my lovers to be less...endowed." He jested, hands in a mockery of her large chest.

"I see," Kelbora commented, her eyes making a quick motion towards the weapons on the table before flipping back towards Gelir, "Well, if you happen to 'gather' any further information of it's fate...please let me know."
Kelbora left it at that because her mind was racing and her heart beat had picked up. Six throwing knives, she quickly calculated the different positions and ways she could utilize these weapons to kill the woman in front of her without the aid of magic. She could probably take the woman before her out, or at least wound her before preparing for a second strike on the guardian in the other room. She doubted that children would know how to fight nor be of her level and caliber, so she could eliminate them quickly and swiftly. Her mind quickly sifting through the dynamics of Elven anatomy, where the main arteries, veins, organs, tend-
Kelbora suddenly screwed her eyes shut and shuck her head. She had always been cautious and untrusting, but this was absolutely ridiculous! She'd been betrayed once...only once that she knew of, but it seemed to have been enough to set her mind in an "anti-social" and "anti-trusting" mode. She was simply trying to gain information of her homeland one moment, and less then a second later she was plotting the murder of four people! This...this was so unlike her...
She seemed to have realized that she had been silent for a long while and opened her eyes again as she looked back up at Gelir, she expression guarded and blank once more.
"Forgive me, I had an...unpleasant thought." She explained and then decided to lean back in the chair, finally, but remained with arms and legs crossed, "So tell me, how does one come across the fabled 'Child of Two Bloods'?"

Gelir chuckled darkly. "Come across. If only. Acharn was born in my thirties, and kept in the Rasroch lands for the first few weeks of his life.
His parents knew they would be murdered for their sin, and upon being attacked, your Serimf King at the time gave up his life to allow his lover enough time to send Acharn into the care of a Rasroch priestess. Touching him sent her into a vision, almost putting herself in complete vulnerability were it not for the Limlug warriors escorting her. The vision was simple. Acharn would end the war in a way that would not be beneficial to either the Serimf or fey nations. You might have heard it. If it wasn't merely for the sin of his birth, your people would try to kill him just for that, along with the Fey of course.
However, we elves, after much deliberation, and searching through her vision, believe that he is to be the High King. And that it is not beneficial because neither gains an upperhand. Sorry if this gets tedious, believe me, it's necessary. We have a tradition to which every elven child is run through a scan for elemental magic on their fiftieth birthday. This allows the child to pursue books and theory, before taking a more practical hand at 89, when they enter the academy.
The diplomats of our nation determined that while we have Fey and Vampire guardians, Acharn was special. He needed one firm towards his cause, an elf. Those whom scan children for magical potential were told to scan every child in the nation. And that the child with the strongest potential, would raise and guard Acharn with their life.
Easy for you to guess whom that was? Hadn't even hit puberty, and I was told my purpose in life was to be a mother and to guard him with my life. To train every spare moment I have, in all skills; physical, weaponry and magic. Oh, and if that wasn't enough, they through Fael on me as well. My apprentice. Hmph."

"Yes, I've heard the prophecies...but our priests and scholars wrote them off as nothing but Elven hype. However, I admit that due to the immense effort to cover up the union of Vampire and Fey...there had to be some truth beyond just a tarnish on the Royal Families' names." Kelbora said with an irritated sigh, "As to whether or not I agree that this...child...will be the Grand Ruler of the Three Races, I adamantly proclaim your insanity on the matter. There is no way one so hated and scorn could gain the reverence of the other two nations no matter how enthralled the third are with him. In millenia past it was fine to intermingle the races...marriages to expand territory were done all the time, but in this day and age, you'll not find a single nation willing to treaty and alliance, royal willing to marry, country willing to submit, or race willing to collaborate. Besides, if he were to ever take a throne of power in this land or any other, there would be scores of assassins, leagues of mercenaries, and vast armies such as the like you've never seen before knocking on your door step. The child is more of a liability then an asset...which is why I do not understand the Elves position to protect him...if that really is the child in question." She finished and couldn't help but look at the weapons again...she had to grip her arms tightly in order to suppress the urge to grab one of them. Damn it...she felt so vulnerable without a weapon!
Immediately, she had to change the subject.
"I read the note you left with the maid, your deal to give me my weapons back...there should be nineteen blades in all, plus one magic amulet, and a Dragon Summoning Gem." Kelbora said quickly and averted her eyes from the weapons on the table...they were too tempting, "I did not understand your 'trial tasks' you spoke of, and desire my weapons back as quickly as possible. I'm sure you can imagine what it is like for one such as I to be weaponless in an enemy's territory?"

A small vein pulsed in Elenath's forehead before she chased it away mentally. "I'll just take that as a compliment." She smiled widely, her white teeth glimmering, "Maybe you'll have someone else to bother now." Her eyes glittered jokingly, but deeply she hoped he would be a friend. She had none at the moment, for all hated her or were to afraid to approach her. "So I take it you aren't interested in women then? I am irresistable." It was slightly true. She had a certain charm about her that was addicting, and though the men in the school liked her, they wouldn't approach. It was a polite way of asking: Are you homosexual?

"I'm not here to convince you, nor reveal any strategy or planning, no war is ever easy. Yours has been stretching on for eons, ne? However, I tire of politics. What did you say? Your weapons..yes. You will get them after you've proven you can be near Ithil without feeling the need to slit his throat."

Acharn grinned. "Well, that's none of you business is it? Perhaps I like my women flat and curveless like Fael." For his statement he recieved a thick twap on the head with his pillow.

Kelbora frowned.
"Despite my feelings towards your...Lord Acharn...I am not a slayer of children nor a monster who takes pleasure in tormenting the weak. And how do you expect me to protect your dear brother efficiently without the aid of my weapons? Magic and Hand-to-Hand combat will only go so far." Kelbora retorted, her annoyance growing and her desire for those throwing knives.
'Patients...Patients...' She schooled herself in an internal matra.
"If he is anything like you, then the temptation may be there, but my morals do not break so easily."

Elenath laughed, it was throaty and husky all at once. "My you are fun to talk to. But seriously, what kind of man likes flat-chested and non-curvacious women?" She also received a thwap on the head and grinned. At least they were both playful. Elenath had the feeling this would be a delightful friendship should it be made.

Gelir frowned, "I never called him a Lord, he's the brat, and always will be. But I'll serve my people as you serve yours. And if your identity is so completely lost without weapons you may have one blade, of your choice, until the week is up. And he is nothing like me. Nothing at all."

Acharn stifled a laugh. "Which classes are you taking?"

Kelbora grinned; she'd found a spot that grated on Gelir's nerves to the point of shattering her demeanor in one fair swoop. More information to store away for later.
"Very well then, fair enough and thank you. I think I should like to have my right Gauntlet Blade, if I may. Its camouflaged enough to be concealed yet large and sharp enough to pierce a body through and through with no problems." They were her more used weapons during guarding assignments. They were meant for up close and personal execution.
The sounds of voices were peeking in the other room...the room where this Acharn and the Fox Elf were conversing.
...Kelbora wasn't pleased with the facts, but if she had to live in close proximity to this brat, then she might as well know what he looks like. "...Since you were willing to compromise...so too shall I on matters of meeting this charge of yours. I will not bow to him, but I should know his appearance in happen-stance we should meet under less scrupulous circumstances."

Well that was unexpected. "I'm taking quite a few classes... Elemental Magic, Befriending a Familiar- And what to do when you get one, Astrology, Runic Language, Divining the Runes III, Tarot Readings, Self-defense III, Etiquette, and Magic and Their Properties- How to make magical items." Elenath listed them off her hands, her fingers ticking them off one by one. Well, that was alot. Elenath was a bit surprised that she didn't think about all she had to do this year.

"As you wish Kelbora." Gelir stood up and opened the door, not letting her presence be known. Acharn sat on the bed conversing animatedly with Elenath.
-------------
Acharn's eyes grew large, "That's alot. I'm just taking Intro to Elemental Magic, Into to Etiquette, Befriending a Familiar and one-on-ones with Gelir and Fael."

Kelbora remained seated for a moment, and then sighed in defeat as she rose from her chair and uncrossed her arms, the limbs stiffly at her sides. Why was this so discomforting to her? Perhaps it was because the dismissals told by the scholars and priests of her homeland were wrong and she would be the only of her kind to witness it? Maybe she feared the truth behind one person ending this great war and the sacrifices of so many being in vein or wasted? ...If this were the real Acharn and the prophecy was true...then all of the blood spilled, tears shed, lives lost...were they all...for not?
She shuck her head of the thought and steeled herself as she walked towards Gelir and the door beyond her quarters. She felt her body tense as she stopped in the doorway beside the Queen and gave her one last look before turning her head to the inhabitants of the bed...and she felt herself numb on the inside.
A child. The elven race was betting the fate of the three races and the world on a child. He was so young, a lot young then she had expected...true she was told he was less then a century old...but to see it in person was a different matter. And suddenly she felt the heat in her body rise again, her automatic control beating down on suppressing her emotion filled aura again.
Anger. She felt anger and a terrible sense of horror over the thought of such responsibilities and weight upon the shoulders of a child. In her eyes, that's all he could be, to her this boy was just that...a boy, not a man, not a warrior, not a king! A child! She could see the tell-tale signs of the intermingled blood; his physic, his eyes, his delicate features...A child! He wasn't condemned the moment he was born, he was condemned the moment the Elven leaders decided to dictate his fate. His parents were fools in love for their betrayal, but the Elven council...were heretical self-proclaimed gods with further tampering with this boy's life.
"You people...you're all betting this war and this world's fate...on him?" She hissed, low and growling under her breath. Gelir could hear her and was most likely the only one to feel her pulsing and heated emotions at the moment.
Elders were more sensitive to the tangibility of auras, but her eyes were all on the boy, Acharn. It would be better if this boy were dead, then he would be free of trying to carry out a doomed fate.
Doomed, this boy was doomed.

Elenath shrugged her shoulders. "What can I say, I'm a busy girl, and a Princess of the Fox Clan must be clever and knowledgeable." HEr eyes twinkled mischeivously but innocently. You're lucky though. My classes were chosen for me by my aunt. Not only to be Queen, but to protect myself for my ambitious younger sister."
