Vay stood up after given her comand to continue pumping the blood and instead rushed to wear she'd laid her cloak and bought it back over to the injured stranger. She opened up the bundle of navy fabric and uncovered a pair of pale blue gloves. They were not meant to be pretty and decorated like the bikini style get up she wore.
Her hands seemed to radiate smokes of cold icy air and as she slipped the gloves on that went half way up her forearm; it seemed to cover her hands and hold the icy air her body was radiating in, or at least from her hands. She than moved onto completing the task of pumping the rest of the blood into the injured man, making sure to toss the cloak aside and out of the way.

The strange, dark-seeming woman remained outside, apparently deciding that it wasn't a good time to enter yet still wanting to wait and then enter when it was, or perhaps thinking she would wait until she was invited in but not give up for awhile in this waiting. She appeared quite patient and still quite cheerful. She even actually smiled, showing teeth with a pair of elongated canines as if she were either proud of being a vampire or just plain didn't care who knew. She didn't look all that pale to the skin, for some reason, but the fangs made sure there was likely no mistaking it. She didn't look or act hungry, but appeared resolved to remain modestly friendly, especially if someone were to go to the door to either shoo her off or invite her in.

~It was all he could do to keep himself from passing unconscious. He mearly laid back, and let the kind strangers go about doing what they would to his wounds. He continued to stare at the ceiling, eyes slightly glazed... distant. After hours of remaining in this daze, his eyes shot to the door. As they did, the soft knock of a woman could be heard from the other side. He looked up into the eyes of the woman over him, and struggled to speak once more.~ If they see me... if they see.... They'll come for you. They won't stop. You have to destroy my body.... Don't let them... don't let them take me.....

(Terribly sorry for taking forever to reply)
Maeve watched the people in the tavern intently. She now sat at a table in the corner of the room. Her stomach was full and she was warm. She suddenly remembered that she had forgotten to thank the lady at the counter for the food. Climbing off her chair, Maeve made her way to the counter and crawled onto a stool. She pulled a stone from her pouch and smiled proudly. Maeve fiddled with her stone silently and waited till the lady passed by again.

((No worries, Black. Also, EvilCherryPepsi, try not to GodMod by controlling a character you don't own such as the woman Xindaris unless he gave you permission or if the woman knocking is someone else other than the vampire woman. If it is, then ignore this :p))
Marcus sighed as he watch the man become alert and moved a little. This was a good sign. Turning to the woman with the pump, the man gave another loud sigh and shook his head. "You can stop. He seems to be alright." Turning his attention over his shoulder, Marcus thought he heard something that sounded like a knock. His eyes then turned to the kitchen door.
As though the look gave cue, the door to the kitchen open as the girl named Keri launched through the air a bundled item. Instinctively, the man got up and caught the long thin item with one hand and smirked at the timing. If it is those monsters, they'll find only Hell in here... The innkeeper thought as he took a step towards the entrance.
Pausing in mid-step, he turned to the group."Everyone stay behind me and don't move. If this turns out bad, Keri, Lead everyone behind the bar and into the kitchen towards the back exit. Run to our emergancy spot with them and sit tight." A weak smile then played across the grim face as he turned back towards the door.
With each silent step, the man's hand went to work on removing the thick wool blanket that was wrapped around the strange item. It was only once he was at the dining/main hall entrance did he pause and threw the blanket aside to reveal in his hand a sheathed sword. The hilt of the weapon seemed to be carved in silver while the handle's grip was made of a lovely purple shade of silk. At the pommel of the weapon, a large ruby sparkled. Marcus paused as he started to control his breathing, his hand now removing the black stained leather sheath.
Reflecting the bright candle light within the house, the blade of Invision was revealed. At first observation, one would think this long sword was made from pure silver, but a closer examination would reveal that it is plated silver while the inside appears to be made of another type of metal. Along its edge, small notches at the middle of the weapon could be seen, a sign of much use as well as skill. Though it looked brand new, it was old. Marcus carried that weapon for ages and retired it once he found Keri outside an abandon house which happened to be the Lost Soul tavern of today.
Readjusting his grip, Marcus stole a glance at the group but quickly shift his attention back to the door. With one fluid motion, the man openned the front door of the house and readied himself in a defensive stance with his sword at front, ready to parry any incoming blows should one come.

The woman who had been watching in the window turned her head and then body toward the man as he opened it with a sword drawn. She put her hands up and stepped back a bit as if to show that she didn't mean any harm whatsoever, if it was her that brought him to this, yet the cheerful grin didn't go away, as though she had resolved to remain cheerful for as long as she possibly could.

~Outside the tavern, there stood a woman, shrouded in robes that looked much like the dying man's did. Her face was lined with worry, but her eyes held in them a rather blank look. She didn't even seem to take notice or heed to the drawn sword, and spoke to the other two in a soft, haunting voice.~ Excuse me... I'm very sorry to trouble the two of you this evening, but I've been searching throughout this town for my husband. You see, he escaped from the hospital down the street, and last I heard, he was heading this way. He's immistakable. There's a large burn mark over the right side of his face, and a large wound running down his chest. If we don't get him back soon, there may be no chance for him. The medication he's on has made him dillusional. When last I saw him, he was rambling on about monsters of some sort. I've been so worried about him. Please tell me you've seen him.

((Well then...confusion sets in, but no worries, my friends))
Lowering his weapon slightly, but not loosening his grip, the swordsman nodded his head at both women and turned to the group inside the inn. "I'll be right back." He said as he took a step outside towards the women. Closing the door behind him, he motioned for the ladies to follow him away from the front door.
"Sorry for the inconvience, but as of this moment, the inn is closed for reconstruction." Giving a wary smile and pointing the sword down towards the ground, the innkeeper gave a loud sigh. "We had an accident inside and well...its a mess." He continued, his attention turning towards the first woman who continued to smile at him, revealing her fangs. "However, I have a barn in the back you may stay in if that is why you came, m'am." He finished as his attention turned to the woman with the missing husband.
"I'm sorry also, for I haven't come across any travellers with a large burn mark across their face." His weak smile turned to a frown as his gaze drifted towards the ground. "However, through the window, I did see a man pass the inn towards the woods. How long ago, I can't really say, but if you hurry, you might be able to catch him." Now gently resting his elegant long sword on his shoulder, the man ran his free hand through his hair and looked towards the inn. "Now excuse me, I need to work on that mess I mentioned earlier. One of the workers I believe might of hurt himself badly." Shaking his head as he gave a whimsical grunt, he slowly began to walk towards the inn. "Can't ever find any good help."

"Well, I might like to stay there but I came here for another reason too. If I could just ask you if someone by the name of Xien was here?" she said, following him at a distance that was far off but just close enough to hear.

Marcus sighed as he paused in mid-step towards the door to the tavern. Lowering his feet, he spun around and gave a wide grin on his face. "Nope." He stated in a clear, calm, and direct. "Though his name does sound very familiar." Raising his finger to his cheek, the man's eyes went up as though looking through his mind's memory banks. Then he shook his head as he gave a grin. "Sorry, but no. I don't think I've seen anyone that goes by that name."
With a bow of his head to both women and his sword lowered to his side, the man once more waltz through the snowy dirt trail towards the tavern, a whistling tune suddenly escaping from his press lips. Then he stopped once more and turned his head towards his shoulder. "Either way, good luck on your hunts, ladies. Hopefully once I get this construction as well as the mess inside fixed and clean, maybe you gals could come back and stay a while..." His voice held a very whimsical tone in it as he took another step which took him through the door way of the tavern.

~The expression on the woman's face didn't change in the slightest. There was no sign that she was even slightly taken back at the man's reply.~ I see... well I'd hate to get lost in the woods at this time of night. Where is that barn you'd mentioned? I think I'd like to spend the evening after all.

"Sorry to hafta do this but you're lying," she said. "Either that or he entered and never told you his name, hmm? Would it help to describe him as a brown-haired young man in traveller's clothing?"

Marcus paused inside the doorway as he turned completely towards the vampiric woman, his eyes glaring at her with an aura that hinted that he wasn't afraid to kill a woman. "People come and go here. Even if you describe him, I still wouldn't know unless he purchased a room here." He replied, his voice filled with ice.
Then his attention turned to the other woman as his dark visage soften some for her. "The barn is around back, m'am. There should be everything you need there since we use to use it as an emergancy room if we end up booked to the top. I'll come to check on you as soon as I check on my workers." The man uttered as he then closed the door of the inn.
Inside, he turned to Keri and made several silent hand gestures. Keri nodded as she went by quickly to close the blinds of the windows. Striding over to the wounded man and woman, his eyes narrowed. "I think they know you are here." Turning to the woman who was tending him with blood, Marcus sighed as he wiped his dark hair once more with his free hand. "Dear, if you could, could you carrying him up one of the rooms. I think room 3 is unlocked." He said as he watched Keri walk up to him with a worried look on her face.
"Two women. One looks vampiric and is after that gentleman friend who was here earlier. The other one is for mister happy." Resting Invision's tip into the wooden floorboard of the dining area, he gazed the folks that were in the inn. "I'm sorry folks, but it seems you might have to stay here tonight till this whole thing blows over. I ain't gonna be responsible if anything happens if you do happen to leave this inn." For Marcus had a feeling that anyone who did left this tavern might run into trouble with those women outside.
Sighing again, Marcus rushed behind the counter and into the kitchen area, gazing at the back door. Leaning into the door, he looked through the small one way peep hole that had a clear shot into the barn. Don't trust this situation...oh well. He thought as he waited to see if the woman was going to take the barn for rest. Keri slowly walked behind him as he realized something and made a quick hand gesture again. Keri nodded in understandment and rushed to the front door to lock it. Thanks to being around the retired adventurer, Keri learned several silent hand gestures and the meaning of more for when times required for parties not to speak or make any noise. It was quite efficient when doing ambushes or stalking through the night, or so Marcus taught her. A weak smile played across her face as she hoped everything would turn out alright.

The vamp half-sighed but remained cheerful, then wandered off in the direction of the barn. "Lies are such dangerous toys, I'm glad I don't play with them," she muttered to herself. She thought, Maybe I should help, and maybe I shouldn't...Well, I could at least get a better read on what's going on inside... The dark aura around her shifted, gathering and then forming into a wispy snakish form, and then snaked around the air, going to the wall and entering through the tiny invisible pores that let air in and out near the door and windows. Once inside it fell to the floor and spread, such that one wouldn't notice it having not seen it entering. All of this while she continued walking toward the barn.
