btw Sei-kun teh smexy ninja you saying that Mana sama is not a Lolita is just plain out there crazy. I understand that he now dresses more visual kei but if it worn't for him a lot of us would not even know about lolita. He populized it more then anyone wlse ever could. He has his own Lolita/aristocrat clothing line how do you explain that. He acts lolita, he dresses Lolita, he IS Lolita. If it wasn't for Malice Mizer I wouldn't have found out about Lolita until about 3 years later T-T

If it wasn't for Malice Mizer I wouldn't have found out about Lolita until about 3 years later T-T I do believe what he meant by his statement is that people COSPLAYING as Mana does not automatically make them Lolita because cosplaying is not Lolita. While it has been debated quite a bit on whether or not Mana is Lolita or not I will say this, Mana is known to have popularized Lolita and not invent it as some assume and he coined the term EGL which is what his line is in the majority. Most of his clothes fall under either Aristocrat or Elegant Gothic rather than Lolita except for some pieces such as the Chandelier and Iron Gate prints. Also fans who seem to be obsessed with protecting Mana's "Lolita Virtue" by saying that others are crazy for mentioning that he is not Lolita but rather EGL are the ones that cause others to dislike Mana.

And i opologize Sie-kun teh smexy ninja if that is what you ment. it is true that cosplaying Mana is not a Lolita outfit..it is a cosplay. Sorry..

I'm thinking about taking the purple ribbon off these cordinates if it's not too much trouble and if i can do it without messing it up.

LolitaBallerina You have the cutest outfits Cryin. I especially like this one: here. What kind of patterns do you use for your skirts? I draft my own patterns. 3nodding The one for that skirt was a very simple rectangular pattern. You want the finished product to be 3x your waist size, so the pattern for me was two rectangles 36in wide x 17.5in long, and the ruffle was made to be 4in long, with a 1in waistband-- finished in the front with a layer of interfacing, and elastic in the back.

That's awesome! I am quite a beginner to sewing, but I want to try a simple skirt soon.
