When Theodoros Zagorakis, the Greek national football team captain, lifted the Cup of the Euro 2004 Football Championship, every Greek, all over the world, felt proud to belong to this nation. It is difficult to describe the overwhelming feeling everyone felt that night when the Greek football team managed to defeat the national Portuguese football team in their homeland, at the national stadium in Lisbon, with a single goal. That hot summer evening, every Greek, man or woman, child or elder, was viewing the most anticipated game in the Greek sports history. The strong heartbeat everyone felt that night was one of the most important moments in every Greek's life.

I had never heard before about Koniska, despite the fact I (used to) live in Etoloakarnania. It seems to be a nice place to visit, and I will try to, really really soon.

Personally, I never enjoy going to Koniska... That's why I'm glad that my (father's) family lives in another village, Thermon. Much more... civilized. I only go to Koniska if I feel especially masochistic. The photos where taken by my father, he has even made a site about Koniska. The site is here... It's in Greek and English. He has many more photos there.

Υeah I visited the site and I saw more pics. It is a weird village.
My hometown is close to Thermon. It's called Agrinion. I may upload a few photos from there, when I 'll be back to my home, hopefully soon.

Not weird... Quiet. So quiet, I only spent a couple of hours there, and I started going insane. And all the people I saw looked as if they were inbred. Bleah.
Ah, Agrinion... The last time I went there I must of been... 8 years old, more or less.
