*Spirit sighed, what did names matter anyway? People changed there names all the time, and sometimes others did it for them without their wanting. Spirit looked over at Anime, she still didn’t like the idea of her reading minds or whatever it was she did, but again there was nothing she could do about it right now, she would figure out a way to stop her after words. She looked at Maya, her face not as welcoming as the other twos had been, “I’m Spirit,” she told Maya.*

((Tequila I am re-posting. I have already answered your question and told you my name in it. Just in case you didn't see, I will re-post here.))

* Confusion swept over Aly, at what Maya was saying. She had said that the dark clans were able to shield themselves from their presence and yet, both Aly and Anime were able to sense their presence. Once again, memories flashed in Aly’s mind. The panic that she had felt, was odd because Aly was not easily frightened. She was able to take care of herself and if this presence was enough to scare her to not notice where she was going was enough to listen to Maya’s words. She remembered her prayers and the goodbyes she had said earlier, before she had met Spirit. She was sure that the presence was going to come and capture her. It was nothing that she had ever felt before and yet, it intrigued Aly. Frightening Aly was not easily done, and if these Dark Clans were able to do that, Aly wanted to know more about them. The girl, Maya she believed Anime had said her name was, obviously was trained to know how to handle them and knew more about them then anyone else she had ever known. She remembered hearing rumours when she was little about powerful beasts that were able to shield themselves from other people’s presence, but she had thought it was a myth. She had never known of anything that could do that before, therefore they had to be powerful. Aly clutched the tree that she leaned on for support, and pulled herself up. Her ankle had improved and she was grateful that she was able to walk and even run on it now. Aly had the time to study Maya. She had cropped black hair, cut to her neck and had unusual blue eyes. She had the power to heal and was able to somehow control objects around her, so it seemed. She intrigued Aly and she wanted to learn more about this girl who stood in front of her. Aly took notice when Maya looked about ready to go and was about to stop her, when Maya had asked them their names. Aly took a deep breath and stared right into Maya’s eyes. * “I’m Aly,” she introduced. *

*Maya smiled warmly at the three girls who were obviously surprised by her question. But atleast she had spent time with girls her own age, aside from hunting. Maya had forgotten all about the dark forces lurking when suddenly her trained senses detected Black Magic. It had come upon her so quickly and out of nowhere that it knocked the wind out of her. Gasping for breath, Maya recognized it as a curse. It was defifnitely not safe in this particular area. Who knew what worse horrors had been planted there. "We have to get out of here," Maya panted to Anie, Aly, and Spirit. "I can't tell you how unsafe this place may be right now. Follow me." Maya broke into an extremely fast run, knowing that the others would be able to catch up. She was unsure of whether she had gained their trust yet, but right now, they would have to trust her if they knew what was good for them.

* Aly stared at Maya worriedly, deciding whether or not to follow her. Hesitantly, she was considering not going, when she felt an impact hit her. Her eyes grew wide with shock and her mouth fell open in surprise. The evil that she felt was nothing that she had ever felt before and she knew that if it continued to haunt her body, that she wouldn’t be able to stay conscious much longer. She felt herself weaken, and found herself soon gasping for air. Finally, after a few long and dreadful moments, the feeling surpassed. It took her longer to steady herself then it had for her to feel the whole epidemic. Tears filled her eyes and she was unable to keep them from flowing down her pale, white face. Her hands trembled with fright as they rushed to cover her face from showing the fear that lurked inside of her. After several moments, she was calm again to nod her head. She had no idea what she had just felt, or how she did for that matter. She remembered how she was always able to feel certain things ever since she was little, but as far as her memory allowed, she couldn’t remember ever feeling anything so devastating. Her whole body trembled with fear and it was a wonder to her how she was still conscious. If this is what Maya felt, then I will go with her anywhere. Aly thought to herself. Her face was still tear-stricken even after she had tried to calm herself down and images flashed in her head for what the monster could look like. Then, her thoughts came together. Perhaps this was the black magic that Maya was talking to them about. She had no idea why she was able to “feel” it, after all her power had nothing to do with feelings. But, whatever the reason, when Maya took off running, Aly jumped to her feet and sprinted off after her. She hoped that Spirit and Anime would decide to follow, but that was out of her control. What they decided would be there own choices; she just hoped that they had chosen to follow Maya. *

*Spirit stared wide eyed as both Maya and Aly seem to be taking over by a great amount of fear. They both had seemed to have felt something but Spirit had not felt anything, but she could tell that something in the air had changed. The wind that was usually clam appeared to become thicker, as if it was tensing up. She looked again at Aly’s pale face, the tears falling down her cheeks and it reminded her of the time when she had chosen to give up fear. She had decided that it was a useless emotion to have; so many people had died because of fear that to her it seemed stupid to have such an emotion; she had been around 10 at the time. It was only after so many years that she had realized that all emotions where given to people for a reason, but by that time she had already been living without fear for so long that no matter what she tried she could not get it back. Without the sense of fear she had to train herself to feel what the world around her was feeling in order to know when danger was approaching. Right know the whole forest seemed to be shivering, as if the trees themselves were trying to take their roots out of the ground in order to run away. She shook her head; she had felt the trees shiver many times before but never as much as she was feeling at this moment. Something out there was making the whole forest shake and she was probably the only one who could not feel it, and it seemed that Maya knew something about what was going on and maybe just maybe this ‘thing’ that was making everyone so scared could remind her of what fear was again. Without a second thought she began to run after Maya and Aly hoping that at the end of all this she would be able to find at least just a little bit of fear. She laughed at that thought as she ran, there probably were so many people in the world who would be hoping to ran away from fear when she hoped to run to it.*

*Anime watched as the three of them ran as fast as they could to get away from the stench that was in the air, the ‘thing’ that was so horrible. Anime knew that she would not have to fear because the only to kill her was to rip her to shreds and burry her, other than that she was stuck on this earth forever. Spirit did not know how to fear something and she could not sense it do the only reason she was following the other two was to know what the thing was. I guess you could say that Spirit, “enjoyed the thrill of the fight.” Anime also knew that Aly was scared so she wanted to get away from it. Each of them has their reasons, but what was Anime’s? She thought about this for a second, not sure weather to follow or not. This wasn’t a question of weather she could follow this was a question of weather she wanted to go with them or not. Anime remembered that she was a little tired of traveling the world alone from place to place and all that. She also remembered that she had told her secret to the others so she would have to stick with them to make sure that she could keep her secret with them. Vampires rarely have special powers other than the ones they are, ‘born’ with. Anime possessed the power to read other peoples minds, she was sure that a few of them wouldn’t tell other beings of her powers. She also liked the idea of getting to fight something evil off. Anime had chosen not to kill humans so she also had to keep into consideration the fact that she would have to go hunting for some animal to feed on soon. The place that Maya was taking them would have to have some animals around it. Anime was quite good at holding back her thirst but some times it snuck up on her. It was now that Anime had made up her mind…….she would go with them because OBVIOUSLY they wanted her to go with them! Anime took off and did a fast jog because that was all it took for her to catch up with them. Anime could not be outrun. She was extremely fast and running was easy for her. She wondered why Maya had to fight off this evil though.*

*Maya was pleased to see that the others had followed her. She briefly noted in her mind that she had a alot of explaining to do, but that would all be done soon. She decided to let them do the asking, and she would answer their questions. Finally they got to a safe haven over which protective spells had been cast by other good Clans. Any form of life was allowed within the seclusion, except the Dark. Maya stood in front of Anime, Aly, and Spirit to give a brief explanation of the place. She cleared her throat and began to speak; she wasn't even out of breath. "We are all safe here," she began, "Spells have been cast over this area. They've been here for thousands of years, so they aren't about to weaken now. It spans miles, and as you can see, it's still in a forested area, so there are plenty of animals to hunt." She looked pointedly at Anime. "There are other foods here as well. We will be good to stay here for a couple days. Any questions?"

*Spirit looked around the protected area disappointed, she was hoping to meet this Dark clan but she had a feeling she would sooner or later, she would just have to be patient. She had many questions she wanted to ask but they all related to where the Dark Clan could be found and she thought that if she asked that straight off the bat Maya might get suspicious. She planed just to listen to the Aly’s and Anime’s questions if they had any, then after she knew what she needed to know she would go off by herself, she didn’t want anyone else to get hurt by her own selfish acts. Feeling restless she decided to go look around a bit, she had good hearing so she would be able to hear what they talked about from far away. “Don’t mind if I go look around for bit.” She said, and with that she turned around and began to walk away. As she walked she kept her eyes on the ground, the grass was still wet from the morning’s mist, finding a clear spot she sat herself down and carefully took out her book and a pencil from her pouch and opened the book to a blank page. She then studied a piece of grass that had a water droplet on it for a few seconds; her hand began to draw in a slow steady way, as if one movement. Drawing helped her clear her mind and concentrate better, plus you could never have too many pictures.*

*Maya watched Spirit as she walked away. She could understand that Spirit wanted to be alone. The news and sudden change in location must have been a bit much. But Maya had to admit she was disappointed. She wanted badly for them to talk to her, even if it wasn't exactly a light-hearted conversation. What's more, if these girls were to go out on their own, they would need to know more about the Dark Clan. Now that the Dark knew about the girls, who were considerably powerful beings, and that they had seemed to trust Maya, they would be after the girls. They would never be left alone again. Maya's wost fear of all was that they would be turned to the Dark Forces themselves, and do their evil bidding. Maya's stomach sank in fear as she remembered that she was bound by the laws of her tribe to kill all who became associated with the Dark. No wonder she had never had any friends. Silently she prayed that Anime was reading her mind, in case she never got to tell them any of this. That way at least someone would know. "Well..." Maya began, but decided against it. She would let them talk first.

*Aly's head went to the side as her wide eyes watched Spirit walk away. It was clear that she seemed to be disappointed about something, perhaps about the protected area, but she couldn't see it as a bad thing. If these Dark Clans were as bad as Maya had said, then they had better stay away from it... Or at least, it seemed like the right thing to do. Aly was so confused. Everything that had happened to her seemed to be blurring past her. One thing she knew was walking in the forest by herself, being scared out of her mind about something stalking her, and then being introduced to Maya, Spirit and Anime. Everything seemed to have happened so fast and when Aly looked back on it, it felt she was watching it in fast forward. Aly sighed, there was nothing she could do and unless she asked some questions about these Clans, she had heard so much about, she had better stay away from them. Aly looked Maya up and down, seizing her captive in her gaze. She seemed about her age, and as far as Aly could tell, not a treat unless she became an enemy. Ohh good... Aly thought, she didn't need anymore new enemies at the moment.* "Soo..." Aly started, "how dangerous are these Clans?"

*Maya watched Aly closely. She seemed pretty nervous. All this was a bit much, though. Maya could understand. Aly then asked her a question about the Clan. How dangerous were they. Maya could not even express, but she could try. "They were sent from Satan himself," Maya began. "They could easily kill any one of us. Even you, Anime." Maya stopped and looked at her. "I understand how extremely hard it is to kill a vampire for most. You would have to be shredded into pieces and then have those pieces burned. But believe me, that would be a slice of pie for them. The can mortalize and kill demons as well. Even my own kind are in danger, and we are familiar with them." Maya took a deep breath. "Most of the time they choose not to kill, but rather to assimilate. You see, the more power they have, the easier it will be, they believe, to vanquish all the good in the world, and turn it into a second hell, for Satan and his minions to rule over. So they put a very powerful and hypnotic spell on those they choose to join them. It is very hard to resist. Only a person with a pure heart can manage. And if they do, they are usually killed instantly. There are only two records of this happening where the ones almost being assimilated make it out alive. That requires extreme power. The spell they put on us before was meant to instill fear. Nothing major to worry about, but it was best that we got away. We are not yet powerful enough to join them, so they will wait until they grow stronger for us to be assimilated. But I warn you: what I said about us is what is most likely, but there is still a chance they will deviate. We must be very cautious at all times. Either way getting involved in the Dark Clans can only lead to terrible things. Personally, I would rather be killed than be assimilated. Bearing all this in mind, it is now for you to decide how dangerous they are. Anything else?"

*Spirit listened closely as Maya talked about how powerful this Dark clan was, and with every word she became more convince that her plan could actually work. Spirit looked down at her drawing, which she had just finished, the water droplet on the blade of grass looked like it held so much power that the grass was bending under its weight. She smiled to herself and then closed the book, placing it and her pencil back inside her pouch, she stood up and brushed off her pants and silently walked back over to the group. She had decided that she would just go and ask, she was getting to inpatient, so without another thought about it she asked Maya, “Actually I don have a question, where can this Dark Clan can be found?” the second the question left her moth she started having second thoughts about it, but it was too late for that so she just waited to see what Maya would say.*

*Maya watched as Spirit walked over to join the conversation. Maya was grateful that they were asking her questions, but she found Spirit's a bit strange. Maya recited a poem in response.

Where they reside you cannot go,
Their dwelling ground is far below,
They may take you to this Dark place,
Where they live; the horrible race,
Beware and steer clear of the deep,
Or they cast you in a Dark sleep.

Maya took a breath. "Basically, they are from hell, but they cannot bring anyone else down to hell. They don't have that authority, not even Satan does. Seeing as that is a bit of an inconvenience for them, they instead choose to live in an abyss world. They can bring others down there because it is still on Earth. Where, no one knows exactly. Some say it is at the bottom of one of the oceans. Some say it is miles underneath a secret mountain through a cave. We don't know how to enter, either. It requires a form of Dark Magic: either a Dark Spell, which we can't perform, a password which we do not know, or you have to have committed an unspeakable deed. One thing is for sure though. If we were to find a definite location and a definite way through, it would be the end for the Dark. Their lair would be under siege by all who oppose them, who are many, and there would be a great, long, and painful battle." Maya's solemn expression turned into a glare as it suddenly dawned on her what Spirit might have been considering. It was Spirit's choice to do what she wanted, but Maya knew that she should give her as much information as possible. "I warn you now, don't go looking for them. You may think you are powerful, and as a demon, no doubt, you are. But compared to them, on your own you are nothing. You will regret it like nothing ever before if you try to take them on your own. If you want to help, you can join my clan and I to help protect, but that is the most you can do. I know I already told you that they can't be found, but if they know you are looking for them, they will find you." Maya stopped, sat down and rested, rubbing her face. She strongly hoped that Spirit would take her advice, and decided to let all of them think on what she had just said. Maya, for once, was curious. Why wasn't Anime talking?
