Introduce him to the copius amounts of AluAnder Yaoi and slash that exists on the net today, and he'd prolly kill himself just to be rid of the shame. wink

After annihilating all the fangirls having written it, of course.

...

Well, he DID call him his "Beloved enemy/Dear enemy..." depending on the translation you read... *is hit by a brick from nowhere* xp

Seriously though, i'm not sure anything short of the "Almighty Blatant Plot Device" can kill him off. that's the problem of making an amlost deific-level character in a story, if nothing can kill him, how do you eventually plot to write his death? Or DO you?

Lol; he'd most certainly take those fangirls out first!

Indeed, it would take a deus ex machina to kill him. Integra's abilities and control of him falling under this heading in my opinion as we are unlikely to ever fully understand how the sigils work in conjuncture with the Hellsing family.

If Integra used godly power to bring him back from death couldn't she use it to kill him.

I think of it more like restrain him and then refuse to bring him back once she's shot him with his own bullets, as Incognito did. This did and would kill him. Then without her calling him back, he'd be gone for good.

In the OA, anyway. Yeah, sorry, I'm just giving into my Hirano canon bias. ^^;

In my opinion it is possible to kill him in a way. For he says when he fought Anderson, "Only a true man can defeat/kil me" or something like that xd . I think he was refering to Van Hellsing. Besides that, the "his own bullets" is good to bring him down. and Sir Integra's command not helping him xd

I think you hit it on the dot.
Nothing can really kill him except the most noble or the ones with divine control over him.

To play devil's advocate and pick an unconventional method, I suggest a blood transfusion, replacing his blood steadily with holy water, letting him slowly and painfully die until the last of his soul was blessed by Father Anderson.

That would be if I actually wanted to kill him....which I don't.

You're cruel. *ponders if that would work* Without a divine call back via Sir Integra, I'd say it's a valid method of killing Alucard.

That's what it all comes back down to
Integra's desire to bring back the one being on the earth she can not stand, but needs all the same.

She can stand him. Just as I can stand a certain friend of mine who once insulted Britain just to see my reaction (a thorough scolding and reiteration of the "puny island's" great history, lol).

She might think she's prefer life without him, but I think she'd miss the unspoken support behind his needling. Alucard wouldn't bother to antagonize anyone he didn't think up to his challenge. His words at times serve as a pointed warning to Integra of the risk to her own humanity, and other times egg her on and stir her blood in the manner of a taunt making the taunted think "I'll show them, I will triumph!". He knows she is capable. He also knows she would never accept open support from him (except in rare circumstances) and thus offers it in this backhanded, but successful, way.

So very true.
I believe she truly does respect him, one of the few Integra does respect, like Walter and Schrodinger.
It's a sort of odd, unfriendly, supportive, respect AA meeting. It's fantastic...I love Hellsing.

*nods* Exactly one of the reasons I love Hellsing; the complexity of the relationships between the characters.

How the heck do you get respect for Schroedinger out of it all though?
