Ryuurin I would have liked Higurashi Akane...if her name wasn't Higurashi Akane D< Have you noticed that her name is a mix of Takahashi Rumiko's two most famous and addictive manga? Higurashi Kagome (Inuyasha) and Tendou Akane (Ranma 1/2) Omg I... lmao... god that.... sucks... XD To be honest, Akane got a bit cooler because of the "Higurashi" thing... since I totally loved Higurashi no naku koro ni....

Japan only has around 100,000 pronunciations of surnames, but the kanji combinations create many more. o: In a whole name like that, some kanji are BOUND to be different.

That's not normal for Japanese names is it? Must be an anime thing.

That's not normal for Japanese names is it? Must be an anime thing. What do you mean? O.o I thought it was normal to have someone's name written in Hiragana. I don't think so... wikipedia Japanese names are usually written in kanji (Chinese characters), although some names use hiragana or even katakana, or a mixture of kanji and kana. While most "traditional" names use kun'yomi (native Japanese) kanji readings, a large number of given names and surnames use on'yomi (Chinese-based) kanji readings as well. Many others use readings which are only used in names (nanori), such as the female name Nozomi (希). The vast majority of surnames comprise one or two kanji. Some others consist of three characters Granted, wikipedia can be wrong, but that's not the only place I've heard that. I'm under the impression kanji are used. That's why Japanese names can sound the same but have a bunch of different meanings. However, I could be missing some culture thing where they don't tell each other's kanji names until later or something, and just use hirigana when introducing or something. They have weird behavior all over like that, so it wouldn't surprise me. rolleyes I'll ask my Japanese teacher.

Thought I'd post the updated favourite ep thing. :'D My absolute favourite used to be episode 8. Where Akane's child Harry loses to Miyu and Kazu-kun disappears. That's so sad. And same time Mai is fighting on that cavern and that battle ends so happily when Reito, Mai, Takumi and Tate find the way out to the secret beach. Akane was my favourite for a long time. What a pity she was on the spotlight only one episode. Now my favourite is Miyu, could I say, opposite. Ep 8 is still good, I still like Akane and that episode also shows Miyu's power as an android, but now I like even more episodes where Miyu was in the spotlight. Was it 12 when she was fighting against Mai, Mikoto and Natsuki? And 15 where she fights and then falls. : ( And 25 or 26 where she fought against Mikoto and destroyed the pillars. : D

http://i5.tinypic.com/11s2iba.jpg <- "OH NOES. MY TIGER. MIYU TOTALLY CAME OUT OF NOWHERE PWNED IT IN ONE SHOT." http://i6.tinypic.com/11s2kav.jpg <- "boo hoo my wonderboy turned green sparkling... now i'm going to disappear for the rest of the series because the directors had no plans for me." Akane and Harry could have been really cool. A lot of characters could have been... but sadly they had no freaking air time!! It was rushed moments like this that really irk me about the series. /pet peeve. I gotta go back and skim through the series to remember which were my favourite episodes. Most of them were near the end.

I agree, they could have shown the ep 5's bus accident, where Akane worked as a HiME for the first time. But NO, it was only mentioned in ep 8! gonk The battles in HiME were so cool, especially the ChildxChild fights - but notice how they cut them all short? Kiyohime vs. Yukino's Tentacle Bean could have been full of wicked-awesome carnage! Watching Kiyohime just tear and rip open that stupid plant would have been so freaking cool to watch. But they just cut it short and ripped us all off. The Julia/Kiyohime fight could have been a lot more intense too. Why was Vlas even there!? We should have seen it crush something... at least! Move in a L pattern toward the enemy... NEIGH~~! *opens it's chest* CHECKMATE CRUSH! <- Full of kick a**, but we didn't get to see that s**t happening. And they barely even showed us Harry and Akane fighting. And what about Mashiro naked crystal princess Child? *sigh* Maybe i'm too demanding lol.
