"Most of them are scared of everything. What they're scared of, they get rid of, what's different shouldn't exist. The humans are pigs that think they should rule over everything. To them, lightning is powerful, but still different. You won't last. The shadows are evil to them, and if I don't keep running, I'll die. If I fight back, I'll die. All the same, running should be what your doing right now. Instead of siting in this stupid shop stuffing your face with human food." Kumori turned her head away with disgust.

Alexandria chuckled a bit. "I have food that you might like, Kumori." She waved for her to follow her into the back from from whence Alexandria came earlier. "Don't worry," she said with a smile, so only a slight bit of her fangs were visible. "I don't hunt wolves, or really anything." She turned to Deathfire. "Keep an eye on her, if you wouldn't mind," she said indicating the child.

"Thank you." Kumori muttered. "You're a.. vampire? Haven't seen your kind around too often. But then again, I don't hang with your kind too often. What's up with the kid?" She got up, staggered a bit from her foot being asleep, then slinked into the room without making a single sound.

"I figured. What you got to eat? The humans are getting faster at and better at hiding there food when they see me. It's hard not to be seen when there's no good shadows around. I hate humans..." Kumori grumbled, mainly to herself.

Alexandria, again, chuckled. "I'm not much one for humans myself. Though, there aren't many pure ones left, just as there aren't many pure vampires left. With the magic.." she trailed off. She didn't want to reveal too much about her past. "What is it you'd like to eat?" Alexandria asked quickly, hoping she hadn't heard her. "And as for the girl, I don't know."

"Do you have any rabbit... or deer... or maybe even moose... I haven't had those in a awhile since I past through Canada... but if not... any raw hamburger meat? That works just as well.... and.. what where you saying?" She asked, sniffing around for anything and slinking in and out of the shadows.

Alexandria shook her head. "I didn't say anything about anything you need to worry about. Deer you say? I think I might have some smoked venison her some where, though I don't eat it myself. It's for the employees." She rummaged around in some boxes and in the refrigerator and anywhere else it might be. "Hmm," she said to herself. She looked back at the wolf, and under her breath muttered a few words of the ancient language and she had some fresh venison in her hands with in a matter of seconds. "Ah," she said. "Here you go." She turned around and held out her hand so the wolf could take the meat. "You never did tell me your name."

"Oh, sorry." Kumori said, sniffing the meat carefully, before taking a bite, "I'm Kumori, of the shadows. One of the few shadow wolves left. And I'm one of the best at using the power. I'm currently learning how to shadow someone. Like making my self look like someone else. It's hard, and I can only do humans and some animals, but I can only stay that way for thirty minutes. Where'd you get this?" She said, meaning the meat.

"Oh, a trader a couple days ago brought it here. He said it was good, so I bought it. Though," Alex smiled, "I got him to sell it for roughly one tenth of what he wanted." She smiled again. "I see. My name is Alexandria. I run this shop, for now. I am a Vampire of the Number. Each of the vampires of the Number are numbered, but I'm sure that could be easily deduced. The lower your number, the higher your rank is. I am currently number 2." She looked around, then knelt next to Kumori, trying not to scare her. "What do you know about 'The Magic'?" she asked in a hushed voice so the others outside in the other room couldn't hear.

"Not much, only that theres only so many beings with magic. What can you tell me?" Kumori asked, scarfing down the rest of the meat, licking her lips.

"Well, to tell you the truth, I'm one of the users. I'm almost as old as Magic itself," Alexandria said in an 'I'm-better-than-you' kind of voice. "I usually make my own spells. And, heh, that wasn't from a trader. I conjured it from nothing."

Kumori smiled evily. "Really?" She backed into the shadows, then stepped out from behind Alexandria, as her, and tapped her shoulder. "Now you know how strong I am. I'm thirteen, and stronger than any loner. I don't think a measly vampire could ever amount to me. No matter how old you are." She hissed into her ear, then reverted back to her original form.

Alexandria grinned. "But, you are quick to forget. I am fluent in the ancient language. I can write my own spells. I can do things that most others cannot." Her grin turned into a smile, "But then again, I have no quarrel with you, Kumori. You seem to be good in your own standings. And I'm no measly vampire." Her fangs flashed for a brief second, and she muttered a few words under her breath, just loud enough for Kumori to hear and all the shadows in the room, but one, vanished and a bottle appeared in Alexandria's hand with them in it. "Now, what are you going to do," she said, smiling warmly. "You should never underestimate the power of magic and one who is fluent in it." She gingerly held the bottle, and tied a string to it, and placed it in front of Kumori for her to wear. "If ever you are in need of a shadow to hide it, simply open this bottle and say, in the ancient language of course, 'Kha shen, I meahs jukte'. It means 'A shadow, I call thee for help'."
