Shi_Yatsu: I didn't like the first one but I did like the second one more. I would have liked it even more if there had been at least one more villain and a crime fighting friend for spidey like Black Cat. She was in the game but she wasn't in the movie, what was up with that!? confused
And yes, it would have been better if the guy playing sand man were playing venom instead. Gotta be true to the comic at least... But Ariadyne is also right, maybe that Topher guy shouldn't have been in the movie, period. I guess the casting people don't really read the comics... rolleyes

I was REALLY hopeing spiderman 3 would be good, or atleast ok...... crushed... Damn love story!!! God we get like 10 mins of action for every half hour of mary jane crying, or peter danceing around. Sandman was really kinda lame. They should have just made the movie fighting venom. Althought i didn't mind seeing Osborn get his a** kick all movie, i never liked that guy. I HATED THAT TOPHER whoever as venom. Why is geeky a** eric forman Eddy Brock..? That couldn't have been the first choice. I wished we saw tofo 10 mins and then the rest of the CG venom. God and the little time we saw venom, Forman's head with the CG body. The second one is my fav as well. The picked a GREAT actor with doc Oc. I think the 3rd is the worst one, and i hope they aren't plaining to make anymore...

Yeah, that's pretty much how I see it. I know they can't be completely faithful to the comic but still... If they wanted that actor to play Eddie Brock, couldn't they have at least added some muscle to him so he could play him right? There are lots of ways to make a skinny guy seem like he's a body builder but they didn't. That's real lame... rolleyes

@ TheBobert: You didn't like Harry at all? xD Though really, I guess I only like him because James Franco is very pretty, and those blades on his New Goblin costume remind me of the Nietzcheans from Andromeda, because I used to [and still do] love to watch those crappy Sci-Fi and Fantasy shows.
@ hypnocrown: Well, they DID at least add digital muscles when he was Venom. Though really, that just kinda looked unbalanced, especially when they had this "real" face showing instead of Venom's head. That was quite odd.
At least they finally decided to put Venom in a movie. rolleyes It's quite easy to find Venom shirts over in the mall now, since he's in the movie. But it would be really nice if I could find one that actually fit me. The men's section gets all the good clothes, but I'd need an XXS or smaller, which does not exist. D:

Well yeah, that's my point exactly. Why not add digital muscles to the guy when he was a regular person? If the black entity adds muscles then why wasn't Spiderman's physiche altered as well? I am finding the whole thing very strange indeed. But you know, I used to watch Andromeda. But then AXN network had to change the date and time for it and all went to hell. They also used to broadcast Enterprise and they had the nerve of removing it from the programming before I could watch the 4th & last season. stressed scream

Holy Crap? Venom is Eric Forman? What were they thinking??? (In case you can't tell I didn't recognize him in trailers) That's as bad a cast as Nicholai in the RE: Apocalypse movie! It's not sounding too good. Everyone has ragged on SM3. Gametrailers, Gaia, etc. Only the box office loves SM3... Yet if it's so bad/mediocre why so successful?
Andromeda... I remember that show. The only thing I really liked about it was the ship's avatar. Once she dissapeared or whatever I couldn't stand watching anymore xd Like all sci-fi shows, once it reaches a certain season, the story gets out of control.

Ha-ha, yeah, Eric from the 70's show. I still don't know if it's spelled Forman or Foreman. They do sound alike, don't they? As for why so succesful? Maybe a lot of people like Eric and, well... Oh yeah! I liked her as well, she is a quite a hot actress, isn't she? I gotta say though, I like Laura Bertram even more (the one who played Trance). 3nodding Ah, yes, she's such a hottie... heart

Shi, I bet they chose Topher Grace cause they're probably basing this Venom as a amalgam of the Ultimate and original versions. That's mostly how the movies does this. Takes some things from the original and some things from the "ultimate" continuity 3nodding

I know next to nothing about the 'ultimate' continuity unfortuneatly... Is Eddie skinny there, or something? Oh well, that's to be expected I suppose. Just like they timed it to have black spiderman in the comics around the same time the movie was announced/released. Hopefully he at least acted the part.

I'm with Shi on that one, I have no idea what the "ultimate" saga is about. You know, I would have liked it more if the story of the recent spidey movies stuck more with the comics than, well, you know... I found it odd that after seeing Peter Parker having to create his webbing every time there was a new movie, this time around he didn't have to do anything. I mean, he had it easy by producing the webbing without a problem. It was probably better having a limited supply and having to reload when the battle was getting tough or something. I wonder who decided to change all that... rolleyes Cuz if it was Sam Raimi, I'd be surprised since they say he actually read the comics.
BTW, I just saw "The Machinist" last sunday. It was a pretty wierd movie... 3nodding

I saw Transformers today.
Too much focus on the humans, way too many human characters brought in, very poor writing, and little to NO character development, especially when it came to the robots themselves, which you'd think would be a top priority, since they're the movies' namesake.
However, the movie was damn fine for a mindless action movie, and the transformers looked amazing [except for Optimus' new mouth]. The transforming noises will make fanboys need new pants.

I thought so sweatdrop It looked really bad. Mindless action used to be cool when they did it right, but it's starting to suck now I think. The last really great action movie I went to see was like Kung Fu hustle and that was ages ago. I thought the transformers looked a little too... Silver. They were so bland to look at confused
Me and chipp went to see 1408 a few days ago too. It was ok, but the story made no sense, and it was basically "Stephen King does Jacob's Ladder and Silent Hill 4." The wife is totally unbelievable and Samuel L is like psychic in that movie or something.

Can't wait till the Simpsons movie later this month, been waiting a long time for this whee and yeah the Transformers were bland to look at, even from previews, they look just as bad as the Ninja Megazord from the Power Rangers movie sweatdrop did they hire the same guy to make these robots? Either way I know we got the technology to make the robots look like their original counterparts, I mean we got the technology to work with so much 3D or even claymation/stop-motion animation. They did such an awesome job in other robot movies xd

Even in the game they look more colorful and closer to their original counterparts. The reason they looked so bland in the movie I assume was so the transformers newbs could gawk at how realistic looking the robots were. The more generic you make something look the lower chances there are of people thinking it's wussy looking I guess.
I can't wait for the Simpsons movie either but probably for different reasons lol. I know there's a high probability it will stink, but slushie+friends+AC=happy 3nodding

Movies about existing frachises shouldn't try to appeal to be dumbed down to appeal to noobs, then you'll alienate your REAL audience, the people who grew up with the cartoon and toys and I believe they could have just given them new more realistic colour tone without messing up their design. Megatron was changed into a jet! He's a Walther P38 pistol/Tank robot! gonk I got no clue if the Simpsons movie will be good but I got a good feeling Matt Groening wont mess things up, he wont bend over to appeal to noobs cause, its already dumbed down enough! I mean how can you not understand Homer the lovable oaf and his wife Marge, The kids Bart and Lisa and Maggie (who should be like in their teens or possibly 20s if each season was actually a year in the show -_-), and most of the memorable Springfield residents. Catching up is fast, less elitist stuff like with Transformers rofl
