cherub_Shagami You know your obssesed when no one can convince you that "no, that is NOT a Stargate on the cover of the 7th Harry Potter book"  (its the UK version of the book) That's what I still think! And yep... I have the music and can play the oboe solo at the begining by ear on my oboe... Yeah. Band-Stargate geek!

When you are unsuprised at your family throwing you a Stargate themed birthday party. It was the only logical step they could take to keep you happy.

On the first page, I can relate to #'s 1, 8, 14, 15, 16, 20, 25, 32, and The one that says, (You say Indeed a lot more),
One page two, I can relate to #'s 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, 19, 29, 46, 54, 56, 60, and 80,
On page 3 The one I put there ^_^ I'm guilty of a lot of these, aren't I?

You know you are obsessed when you ask your friends how to spell "obsessed" and they spell out your name to you.
Also when you can walk into a house and know instantly that Star Gate is one in one of the rooms.

When you start to weigh the price of getting the complete series boxed set against those all to "important" school books.

When you have dreams about the charcters and wonder why the writers never thought of your dreams. Lol did this with Sam and Jack and I was all "WHY did this never happen" lol. I cant relate to quite a lot of these smile

One of my favorite moments, is that I was talking to my friends about computers, and one of them refers to his computer as: "You know that dell they were using during the episode where they were trying to destroy all the replicators" and all of us understood what computer he was talking about.

I'm pretty sure I get 13, but maybe not.
I haven't read fanfics yet but I was tempted to buy three Atlantis novels. (My Stargate obsession is young, only about six months old. It is in competition with my Star Wars obsession of ten years).

im obsessed!!!!!! i memorized lines and almost all the episodes. own all the movies and seasons for atlantis and sg1! ive tried 2 count how many times teal'c says indeed. i have the shirt that says ive ascended have you? im obsessed!!!!!!!!

First off I just want to say how much I feel at home here, I love you all! I have no close friends that like Stargate, it is nice to come here and see that I am not alone.
You cried at the end of each season finally.
You sobbed and had to stay home from school or work the next day because you are too depressed and/or your eyes are too puffy or red.
Deep in your soul you take satisfaction from the fact that Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis were NEVER cancelled in an alternate dimension or parallel universe; which means an alternate version of you is out there, somewhere, enjoying brand new episodes.
Others habits that I DO relate to:
1. You can understand all of Sam's techno babble.
2. Talk about Abydos like a holiday destination.
4. The Stargate opening theme tune is on your play list.
5. You know the actual words to the Stargate theme
6. Your entire computer screen is themed with Stargate references.
7. Your wardrobe consists of black shirts and green pants.
8. You know more about the characters history than you do about their real lives.
9. SG1 theme music is your ringer on your cell phone.
10. You spend $35 US on a book on the SG1 universe, and not just to play it as a D20 module, but just to own it.
11. You can name each of the episodes in order and what they story line is.
12. You own the DVD collections of the shows, all seasons available, and have the latest on back order as soon as they come out.
13. You refuse to eat any other jello but blue.
14. You read SG-1/Atlantis fanfics
15. You've written at least one SG-1 or Atlantis fanfic
17.You name your fish Steve or Bob.
18. You would refer to your palm pilot, or blackberry as a life signs detector if you had one.
22. You subscribe to the Stargate SG1-Atlantis Magazine.
23. You have all of the Posters from the above magazine on your wall
24.You find yourself saying "as am I" to most people.
25. You know which Egyptian god you would impersonate if you were a goa'uld.
26. Every day something happens that prompts you to say to someone, "That reminds me of a Stargate episode . . "
27. When watching Stargate music videos you can pinpoint which scene came from which episode in which order.
29. When you see suspicious men in suits popping up everywhere, you think the NID is after you.
30. You call your car a puddle jumper.
32. When you know how many times Daniel has died/ascended.
33. when you get a dog and name him Jaffa, and teach him that Kree means sit.
34. You start naming ALL the Wraith.
Your family tells you "Shut up, McKay"
You never leave the house without Stargate in your heart.
You have your own fan-site dedicated to the show(s).
You go fishing in your backyard, but you may not even have a pond, and if so, it doesn't have any actual fish in it.
You write letters to MGM and the Sci-Fi channel about how mad you are they killed the series.
You get your hair cut to look like your favorite Stargate character.
You download free Ancient and Chevron style fonts onto your PC
You refer to batteries as Zed PM's, ZPM's, or Zero-Point Modules.
You name your pets after the ancient gods.
You're convinced your teacher/coach/principal/parent/boss/etc. is a Goa'uld
Your science fair project, or report, is based on wormhole physics and gate travel.
Instead off sleeping you prefer to meditate.
You get glasses like the ones Daniel Jackson wears, but you don't need glasses.
1. You start exclaiming, "Holy, Hannah!" or, "For cryin' out loud!"
4. You catch yourself responding "Jack" to an annoying co-worker whose name is actually Tim.
5. You start singing "Row, row, row you boat" out of the blue. ALL THE TIME!
6. You begin claiming to know all the secrets of the universe and that your worst enemy is a Goa'uld.
7. You shout "Kree!" when you want get attention.
8. You know the meaning of the word "Kree."
9. You start screaming at your friends in Goa'uld when they've upset you even though you don't understand half of what you're saying.
19. Whenever you're confused, you respond with a raised eyebrow.
20. You begin to understand the basics of astrophysics.
25. You touch every mirror you see hoping to be transported to an alternate universe. YES!
27. You sort of know the scientific explanation of an event horizon.
28. You insist the television show is just a cover for the real thing.
29. Your main fantasy in life is to join the Stargate program.
32. You answer the phone by saying, "Yes, Mr. President?"
33. You wish to learn hieroglyphics so you can really understand what Daniel's talking about.
35. You paint Stargate symbols around the rim of your Toilet seat to make it fun and exciting when you flush (Use of blue bleach optional).
38. You can tell what season of Stargate a rerun is from by the length of Major Carter's hair.
45. You find sayings such as "for cryin' out loud," and "peachy," are slowly creeping into your every-day speech.
46. You instantly consider anyone who watches Stargate a 'soul mate,' regardless of age, gender etc.
55. You greet people with "Comtraya" and a hand clap. HAHA, yes!
59. You attaching an iris to the toilet and refuse to open it without the proper GDO code.
60. You're able to hum the theme song including every little dun dun, AND know on which emphasized note an actor's name pops up.
63. You've created your own interpretave dance to the Stargate theme song.
65. When someone knocks on your front door, you command your roommate/parter/kids to 'open the iris'.
75. You are well versed on what to do in case of Goa'uld attack.
77. You've skipped school or work to watch Stargate.
80. When a friend betrays you, you call her a Shol'vah.

I see the "Indeed" thing is universal...of course, in my family, "Q'apla!" also gets use.
And I can't help but translate "Yoo-hoo" every time someone in the show says "Kree." Especially in the most dramatic scenes with very serious Goauld.
