it's hard to even BEGIN to say how much this place means to me. I can be myself here, good or bad, I don't have to be the person who's always happy just to please people. I can talk about things that I can't talk about with anyone else (be it because I'm a coward or because I know you'd guys would understand)
I love all the support here, it's just something I don't have a lot of. Everybody here is amazing and we all pretty much get along. This guild and the people in it are the only things keeping me sane most of the time. This is the only reason I come on gaia.
The guild is my lifeline I guess, so yeah, it means a lot to me, quite a lot.
(I can also use big words without fear of mispronuciation...XD...spelling errors on the other hand....lol)

I joined in hopes of finding yuri manga I could enjoy, since it seems impossible to find anything of my taste with my total lack of knowledge of yuri. The guild's name also got my hopes up because it seems at least whoever made the guild knows the difference between shoujo-ai and yuri. I'm so sick of looking for yuri and all I see is fluffy, childish BS without even kisses!
Besides, I thought I'd start seeing if I could come to appreciate yuri more in general. Being a lesbian who's totally into yaoi and who doesn't really like yuri seems kinda weird when I think about it. XD
Also, meeting other lesbians, blah blah blah. It was surprising seeing that the majority of the guild is bisexual females though. I thought there'd be more straight males and homosexual females.

I joined to find some good shoujo-ai/or yuri manga or anime out there, because I haven't found much. I also found that it's a place where I can be understood and get support. Sometimes families don't understand, =P.

This guild is a place for me to find more information on yuri's subjects... and focuses on the anime or manga... and find more new friends who have the same hobby as me... mrgreen

It would be nice if I could find a RP to join, but otherwise it seems like a nice, though lax community. To me it means love, understanding and support from your peers I guess you could say.

Although I lack a way to put it into poetic words,
I like this guild cause, as some have said, it's very easy to be yourself.
Not everyone is accepting and understanding of people and their preferences with... well, everything.
It's nice to be part of something where you know everyone at least has something in common and doesn't need to hide it about themselves.

At first it started off as an oppertunity for me to balance out the Yaoi/shonen-ai imbalance with Shojo-ai/Yuri in my life, but as I became more comfortable with myself I actually started coming here for the picture posts and discussions. Maybe I'll join a roleplay or two at some point.

For me this guild is a place to hear (or read, lol) that other people read yuri and shoujo-ai for the romance, as opposed to the rather vulgar reasons most people read it for.
It's a place where I can be enthusiastic about yuri/shoujo-ai without having people be judgmental or having people question my sexuality.
It's nice to be able to relax about myself ^^

I wanted to be able to get back into posting on Gaia and making friends since a lot of my old buddies quit or just don't come on anymore due to other irl life stuff, I thought it would be a good way for me to get in touch with something that I also love but am finding a lack of resources for. I haven't been on too very long, but I've already met some really awesome people and I like to think that we're on the path to becoming friends through a common hobby. ^_^
I'm happy to see that a lot of people think it's easy to be themselves here and such, and if I had more time, I'd maybe possibly think about if not joining an rp, but at least adding some fanart or fanfics or something to spice up the library. Possibly. Gotta hop on some of those fanfics and find a scanner cable before I can do that though. Argh.

I like how everyone is very open; that's pretty nice. smile
The main reason, however, is that all but two of my friends (in the real world) don't look down of yuri as dirty or weird. I live in a really conservative part of Missouri, too, so there's also all kinds of people against lesbian like things.

I love this place because it gives me a chance to talk to others about anything and everything yuri. Frankly, I don't have many friends around here that like yuri and it's a pain, because it always better when you have more than one person involved. 3nodding But yeah, I'm just happy that I'm not alone in here!! blaugh
