Selene Rosara
Selene's eyes opened wide in shock and her mouth fell open at Nikoru's words. When Gwynne started shoving her sister about like a doll, openly defying her to retaliate Selene's blood started to boil. Standing up quickly she pulled a dagger out from under her pants legs, when Gwynne turned around the point found the girl's neck. "You remember your own words, my Ajah has a readiness for battle? How foolish are you girl? Both myself and Nikoru have been trained for fighting, you think you can push either of us around like we were nothing?"

Smirking Selene looked deep into Gwynne's blue eyes, her own emerald ones held no mercy. "Please don't think I can't kill you and get away with it, a city like Illian is a big place and the Seahchan won't care if I kill a marath'damane, in fact, I think they'll thank me. You're not the only one who can hide their ability to channel deary." It was true, Selene had her ability to channel hidden, the difference was she had tied off the weave so she wouldn't lose it during her drinking match.

"So, give me one good reason why I should leave your neck in one peace, please." She grabbed Gwynne's arm tightly and pushed the point in deeper, she knew her actions were un-like an Aes Sedai but there were some things she would not tolerate, this being one of them.

Paradoxically, Gwynne smiled. Inside, she was shivering, afraid, angry, and defeated; this confrontation was what she'd, somewhere deep inside herself, desperately hoped to avoid. But she showed none of this to Selene. "If you were nothing, woman, I wouldn't have a dagger at my throat, would I?" She casually shoved the dagger away, adding a tiny weave of Air to the effort so that if Selene tried to maintain the position, it would be stopped. "As you can tell, it's not just my potential I'm hiding. There's no hint of saidar about me, even though I'm actively holding weaves. It's come in handy. If you decided to make a true battle of this, it would be a close match. I'll admit to you that this cloaking takes a lot of my power." The admission tasted rotten in her mouth, but just maybe it would show the Aes Sedai that she was being honest instead of just boasting. "But if I did have to drop it, I think you'd find me difficult to subdue." She wove Fire momentarily, causing a tiny flash of light that left both her and Selene with an afterimage in their vision. "This wilder has more ability with the Power than any of your sort I've yet met." Her smile vanished, replaced by a look as piercing as Selene's had been. "I've laid myself open to your punishment when you can safely use the Power. I admit my weaknesses to you. All I want from you is a little respect. You want a reason not to slit my throat? I freed Nikoru and I got your friends away from the Seanchan. You don't have to like me. I don't like you anyway. I don't like any Aes Sedai. But you seem to support the Lord Dragon, so I'm willing to do the pennance for my attitude. You'll just have to live with it until you can beat your own brand of discipline into me." She wove another flow of Air, plucking the dagger effortlessly from Selene's fingers and pressing it, point directed harmlessly at the ceiling, flat against the Domani's breast. "Just remember this: I will not go to the White Tower." Trying desperately to hide a great weakness in her knees, and knowing that she was not succeeding, Gwynne sat back in her chair, battling shivers and fear. Despite her brave words and her strength in the Power, talking that way to Aes Sedai was nearly tantamount to suicide. What was possessing her to be so openly hostile? The confusion and weakness gave her free access to saidar.

Darz doesn't even look up to catch the sharpenning stone. He holds out his free, left hand as it lands squarely in the center of his palm. He takes a moment, as Addin speaks, to set his sword up to best sharpen it. Darz does raise a brow at the rumor Addin attempts to relate. The name, Rand Al'thor, is unfamiliar to him. The referance of Dragon is familiar, but reborn holds no meaning to him. Darz, carefully, starts sharpenning his sword as he answers.

I came, naked, with but this sword. I have nothing.

It might seem strange that he goes back to an earlier question, but it's just the way Darz's thinking at the moment. Being amnesiac, he doesn't know what "common" knowledge to trust. Darz, merely, wants to give himself time to think. He, unknowingly, slips into Old Tongue.

~You are mistaken. Lews Therin is the Dragon. We also can't assume the Seanchan are shadow-filled without proof. Minds can be manipulated without having fallen. *pause* What...where is Aridhol?~

Jazral let out a low growl as the evends unfolded befor his eyes
"Just remember this: I will not go to the White Tower." gwynne said
"Women, You will stop this now. We are all friends here, there is no need for violence. I do not wish to take action, but you will take no further action against Selene or Nikoru Sedai and nobody is going to be dragging anybody off to the tower" Jazral said with a friece glow in his bright golden eyes. He put his hand to his scimitar and slid it out just alittle and stood there, waiting for gwynnes response

"Neither would I," said Denath as he and Kai they ventured back into the crowd. "As for what Jazral's taught me, its not much. Keep my eyes open and my mind alert, that's been pretty much it so far. However I can use what my Dad taught me back home."

Denath glanced up at the sky, the sun hanging just above the rooftops directly just to their left, its soft light caressing the new day to awaken. "See where the sun is?" He waited for the other man to nod. "It was on our right as we made our way to the manner yesterday morning. As well, when I went with Jazral and Addin to get their armor fixed we we’re always on a slight uphill slant heading away from the inn. The same was true as we headed for the manner. If you noticed when we entered the city we went downhill to get to the inn. That’s because the area the inn is in is lower than the rest of the city. So, if we keep the sun on our right and head down hill we should at least come to the right area. Too bad these buildings are all pretty much the same height, can’t see much in the way of landmarks. I would suggest heading up on the roofs but even with Jazral we didn’t chance it, not this time of day, and not with the Seanchan’s flying beasts possibly about."

::Kai expected nothing less from someone out of the Two-Rivers. From what he knew, it was a farming community. Thus it explained Denath's ability to retrace steps by the sun and landmarks. Kai glanced about to match his bearings with those described by Denath and nodded. And Denath was right, the markets and hawkers fell away and were replaced by the more upstanding houses. Kai's hand suddenly stretched out and stopped Denath.::
I know where we are. Around the next corner is the street we went to to get to the manner. We will take the next street over. I know how to get there from here on out. We shall be there in no time. I just dont want it to be suspicious, esspecially considering there are few people on the street.
::Kai's memory served him well. The next half-hour was spent following a few streets before the inn came into view. Kai surpressed a feeling of excitment equivilent to a green soldiers beating his first opponent in practice. It was juvinal to even consider this a victory...but they had succeeded. That was all that was important. Kai spoke as they made their way towards the inn.::
If at any time you feel the need to sharpen your training or gain experience, I can be of service. I am proficient in many weapons if you ever consider expanding your weapon skills. The only things I am not good at are ranged weapons...
::Kai let the sentence hang open. He would never bring himself to ask, but the implication was there.::
...but I would rather that should I find myself in trouble I would know you could do more than find my dead body.
::It was a joke, and Kai let his tone drawl a little to indicate such before resting his hand on the door. He turned to Denath.::
I will be all to glad to see this city at our backs.
::With a sigh he opened the door and stepped into the inn, the anticipation of the book still concealed beneath his robs made his heart beat a little faster. Its mysterious pages, and the question burning in his mind lay nestled in his hands.::

Along the bond Selene let Jazral know that she was furious with him because of his actions. It was Aes Sedai business, not something he should worry about but she kept her eyes locked on Gwynne's. Pulling the knife away from her chest Selene used it to point at Gwynne. "Look, while we are in Seanchan territory, weave or no weave, let go of saidar. We don't know how well their damane can sense channellers, the last thing we need is your woolheaded stunts to land all of us with one of their collars around our necks."

Selene briefly glanced at Nikoru, she didn't need to be bonded with her to know she hated the thought, she had already knew of Nikoru's past as a damane. "Let go of saidar, just tie off the weave. Assuming you know how, of course. If not I'll tell you, but just let it go." Selene let the hand holding the dagger drop to her side, she was tired of worrying about the Seanchan and their blind hatred of those who could channel, with Gwynne's hatred added on top it didn't make things any better either. The sooner they left Illian, the better.

Jazral looked at selened, he was about to protest but thought it best not to. he sheathed his sword and simply stood there and kept a carefull eye on the women, ready to deffend selene, should gwynne actuly attack her. Not that Selene had really needed deffending in a long time, but because it was his job and duty to protect her from harm

Gwynne eyed the Aes Sedai icily. "You act like a frightened child, Aes Sedai. I can not be sensed while I use this weave, and the moment I release saidar it will disspiate into a residue that will cover a fourth of this city. What is 'tying off' a weave? I've never heard of that." Despite her words, a small thrill passed through her. The Aes Sedai was offering to teach her something new about the Power. Even from such a source, Gwynne could not simply ignore the lure of knowledge. Only thoughts of Chalinda or the Lord Dragon drove her more strongly than curiosity. But if this "tying off" the Aes Sedai spoke of was as casual as the woman made it sound, why had Gwnnye never heard of it before? Was this some sort of strange Aes Sedai trick? Or had the White Tower simply managed somehow to keep it secret from the Kin?

Jazral eyed the situation carefully and then sat down relaxing alittle but still keeping his eye on gwynne. Sometimes he did really underestimate Selenes ability to take controll of a situation. Jazral sat there, finished his drink and waited for aorn and the others

Nikoru took the lashing about, for the second time since she met the woman, and just stood there, staring at her with a slightly annoyed expression on her face. Growling softly under her breath, she looked over at her Sister, allowing her to do what she would, since she knew better than to stop her. Crossing her arms over her chest, she rolled those golden eyes in exasperation.

"Gwynne, I show respect to those who show respect to me. I believe most Aes Sedai would not even go that far. And for all that you gloat of your powers and abilities, you still have things to learn."

Scowling, she shook her head a bit at Selene as if to tell her that further action wasn't necessary. She could not tell the woman what to do, but she could suggest. Turning once more to face Gwynne, she softened her expression slightly.

"I do not wish quarrel with you. But you behave like a spoiled child. One who is used to getting her way. You have the Power to help you with that. However, it is not wise to abuse it in such a way. I cannot claim that I haven't, since I've done it many times in anger. The Battle Ajah is very tempermental."

Sitting down, she sighed, putting her chin in her hands, resting her elbows on the table in front of her.

"What a reunion this is... Freed for the second time, only to be brought to fighting with those who don't know what's good for them.."

Gwynne could have laughed. Aes Sedai accusing her of acting like a spoiled child? "I am used to getting my way. I'll show you why." Bracing herself for whatever reactions would be evoked, she dropped her cloaking weave and drew every last bit of saidar she could hold without burning herself out. The glow around her, visible only to the female channelers in the room, was brilliant, much brighter than any of theirs would have been. "Because when I need it, I have this much power." Wary of drawing unwelcome attention, she shoved saidar away and looked Selene in the eye. "You wanted me to release the Power. I've done so. Thanks to the residue of my weave, we now have a limited time before the Seanchan are lead here. The residue is displaced, but they'll find us eventually. Do you think you can hide four channelers here?" She smiled, not at all kindly. "I leave it to you to suggest a course of action, Aes Sedai." She deliberately placed exactly the proper emphasis on the title to show total respect and not a hint of mocking, though her faint smirk told a very different story of her opinion of the woman.

Grinding her teeth to keep from screaming at the insolent little wretch, Nikoru stood back up, glaring at those around her.

"I am not about to be captured again. No. Not a third time."

Growling, low and threateningly in her throat, her eyes flashing, she let her temper get the better of her. Taking advantage of the fact the woman had released Saidar, she rushed forward, gripping her around the throat and lifting her bodily into the air. The part of her that was wolfkin was taking over, as it often did when she was extremely angry. Baring her teeth in a feral imitation of a smile, she gave a bit of the expression one could only say was a snarl.

"You better come up with something really bloody fast, girl. I don't care if you are Nynaeve al'Meara herself, you will NOT cause the Seanchan to fall upon us again. If you do, believe me, the White Tower will not be who you need to be worrying about."

Striking her across the mouth with her free hand, she dropped her, letting her fall to the floor if she would, or catch herself if she felt foolish. Her expression gave the impression that if anyone else wanted to speak with her, now was -really- not the time. If the Wilder decided to retaliate with the Power, so be it. If she couldn't defend herself physically, she would be completely shocked if one day the Seanchan ever caught -her-.

::Kai wrapped up the cloak, now revealing his proper garb and feeling much more at ease. He stopped by Tarma's room to grab his stuff. He had just finished strapping on his bokken when he entered the room to find yet another surprise of the day. Two women he had never seen stood in the middle of the room, one in fury, the other on the floor as she had just been slapped. Selene stood nearby. But what drew his attention was the two at the back, one of which was wearing a familiar, if somewhat altered, suit of armour. The insect warriors. His hand went to his sword and he half drew it, stepping into the room and closing the door. The only thing stopping him from all-out attack was Jazral's apparent disregard for the woman. He caught Jazral's eye.::
What is she doing here?
::He asked, indicating the woman with his head.::

He watched the scene unfold before him, spinning dangerously towards a state of complete chaos. Not having seen much of the Seanchan when he came in was alarming to learn that teh city was more full of it than he had thought. It startled him, but he wasn't going to let that control him. But something had to gain control of this situation.

Looking from Gwynne to Nikoru to Selene, he felt as useful as Jazral was: a figurehead to watch the undercurrents rip the feet out from under them. With One Power wielders about, there was only so much a man could do before he was tied and gagged with Air. When Nikoru struck Gwynne it was then his time to step in as events were far to dangerous to leave alone now.

"Enough."

It was a command to everyone in the room. His voice, more rich with authority in it than he was accustomed to surprised even him. It made him pause, which just seemed to carry more weight with that one word. Looking from woman to woman to woman, he stared them down for the moment he locked eyes with them.

"If you women cannot talk in civilized manners, avoiding the use of your gifts, then you will either be separated or I will personally remove a piece of the problem to a location so far away, you'll wish you were humble enough to sit back and speak calmly. I have left Seanchan captivity, seen Nikoru freed, and I sure won't see her captured or my death while here in Illian. If any of you have a problem with this, you can walk yourselves out of this Inn right now and go your own way. There will be no more open hostility."

He was quite upset. For far too long people had walked all over each other. And now it was time to bring in the justice that was needed. If they couldn't deal with the fact that everyone was here by choice, then someone needed to show them the door.

After he had finished talking, he realized that the heat in his voice was not also on his face. His anger was quite controlled, very logical and precise. What he said he meant. And if it took grabbing one of them--most likely Gwynne--and Traveling someplace else, he would do it and deal with the woman once on the other side.

He didn't figure she would be as strong if she was lost and unsure of where to go, especially if she was in a land not her own. It was one of the advantages of having been around. He knew a packmule full of locations to go that would be very remote and distant. Some of them not even he could survive long unaided.

The anger in his eyes glittered like magic as he looked between the three women, awaiting their decisions. He certainly hoped he didn't have to take anyone's choice away. It would get really nasty then.
