If I had to choose one over the other, then I would choose Illyria over Fred.
To tell the truth I just liked her more.

Illyria is cool, cuz she was so cold and so powerful. she was so strong, and i loved how she still had feelings inside her. SPOILERS DO NOT READ UNLESS U SAW LAST EP OF ANGEL:
I loved how she killed the red skinned demon, it was so cool. i loved that. it was amazing. that is the only good thing that happened the whole season.

She was OK in my eyes...I don't think it was the right Idea to Kill Fred off like that....and I hated her death scene...it went on forevers and really made me feel like they were going to be able to save her.... Granted Iilyria was funny and all...but it was so not cool that Wes and her finally got together after all that time....and then she was ripped away from him and had to deal with a demon wearing her skin....it was the crappy crappy....

I never really liked the whole Wes and Fred thing, I always wanted Fred to be with angel and then when she turned into Illyria I wanted her to be with Spike. xd

Hi. I think it was time for a change for Fred, i didn't like the chapter when she turns to Illyria, but it was about time! Illyria is the most interesting character i saw in Angel, she managed to petrify the audience in only a few chapters, and everyone wants more! twisted
omfg! she's really something isn't she?

I wish that Fred didn't have to have died for her to come into the picture, but it gave the character a better fighting chance for how they ended the series. She even changed back into Fred when Wes was dying which I thought was soo sweet of her, and then she exacted sweet revenge, so yea she kicked some major rear.
Iam more glad to see that finally Wes had a charge that didn't turn on him and go crazy.....well for the most part.
