He's always done what he says he'll do. Everything being passed off as conservative propaganda turns out to be proveable, I'm pretty sure that's the only thing he's said that he's done differently. He said Saddam was harboring terrorists, look at that he was. He said it wasn't going to be a war on Al qaeda but a war on terrorism, sure enough it is (a war that can't be won, imo, but eh.). He doesn't say one thing and do another. Even then, if he goes after an ammendment, it was a lie, but he hasn't done it yet. After he said he wouldn't. Which I dunno don't see how the hell he managed to get that idea so far, especially with Cheney for a vice president.

Maybe Cheney said he would tell everyone everything about the Haliburton/Enron scandal if George Bush tried to go for it.

First, I'd like to mention that the war on terrorism was originally a pre-preemptive strike on Iraq for having WMDs that weren't even yet discovered. That was, of course, before it become the War on Terror and/or project 'Iraqi Freedom'. I'm still not altogether certain what it all was about. In any case, anyone who would say that the war on terrorism can be won is ignorant. Any one would say that the war on terrorism can be won in Iraq is insane.

Really? Now I thought he'd started the war on terrorism before he went into Iraq, because he'd done his axis of evil bit before the war in Iraq. He sent inspectors in, but....last time someone was lenient on Saddam not giving inspectors full access, (coughclintoncough) he ended up building up more weapons. Because of course when you're sick, you want to let it build up and wait until you you're in the ER before treating it. In the past we have been lenient with Saddam. In the past, he's gone, made corrupt deals, killed a bunch of people...etc. And what was all that talk about those weapons that got out under Bush's watch? How could they if there were no weapons that scary? Unless of course the Americans got there and started building up weapons, and they were stolen. Cheney has no leverage over him if that's true; Cheney's the one who used to head it. First of all. Second of all, I'm not sure what I think about Halliburton. I wouldn't put it past them, but....We always use the same same contractor when our house needs repairs or something built. He's our friend. Why do we use him? So we can give him money and cut a deal? No, because he does it right, we know he does it right, we've had experience with him fixing everything that needs fixing, he gives us discounts as much as he can, and my family saves a lot of money by hiring him. When you've got experience with a person or company and you know how they do things and what they do and truly think they'll do it the best, why would you NOT use them? And oil. Wouldn't the gas prices be dropping and not rising? It takes oil to keep the troops mobilized. Going to Iraq MIGHT gain a bit more oil, but not enough that it's worth the effort. I dunno, can't say 911 is Bush's fault for not getting it nipped in the bud and then get mad when he nipped Saddam in the bud. I love that satire piece, the one making fun of Bush's axis of evil. It's great. Quote: ANGERED BY SNUBBING, LIBYA, CHINA SYRIA FORM AXIS OF JUST AS EVIL Cuba, Sudan, Serbia Form Axis of Somewhat Evil; Other Nations Start Own Clubs Beijing (SatireWire.com) — Bitter after being snubbed for membership in the "Axis of Evil," Libya, China, and Syria today announced they had formed the "Axis of Just as Evil," which they said would be way eviler than that stupid Iran-Iraq-North Korea axis President Bush warned of his State of the Union address. Axis of Evil members, however, immediately dismissed the new axis as having, for starters, a really dumb name. "Right. They are Just as Evil... in their dreams!" declared North Korean leader Kim Jong-il. "Everybody knows we're the best evils... best at being evil... we're the best." Diplomats from Syria denied they were jealous over being excluded, although they conceded they did ask if they could join the Axis of Evil. "They told us it was full," said Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. "An Axis can't have more than three countries," explained Iraqi President Saddam Hussein. "This is not my rule, it's tradition. In World War II you had Germany, Italy, and Japan in the evil Axis. So you can only have three. And a secret handshake. Ours is wicked cool." THE AXIS PANDEMIC International reaction to Bush's Axis of Evil declaration was swift, as within minutes, France surrendered. Elsewhere, peer-conscious nations rushed to gain triumvirate status in what became a game of geopolitical chairs. Cuba, Sudan, and Serbia said they had formed the Axis of Somewhat Evil, forcing Somalia to join with Uganda and Myanmar in the Axis of Occasionally Evil, while Bulgaria, Indonesia and Russia established the Axis of Not So Much Evil Really As Just Generally Disagreeable. With the criteria suddenly expanded and all the desirable clubs filling up, Sierra Leone, El Salvador, and Rwanda applied to be called the Axis of Countries That Aren't the Worst But Certainly Won't Be Asked to Host the Olympics; Canada, Mexico, and Australia formed the Axis of Nations That Are Actually Quite Nice But Secretly Have Nasty Thoughts About America, while Spain, Scotland, and New Zealand established the Axis of Countries That Sometimes Ask Sheep to Wear Lipstick. "That's not a threat, really, just something we like to do," said Scottish Executive First Minister Jack McConnell. While wondering if the other nations of the world weren't perhaps making fun of him, a cautious Bush granted approval for most axes, although he rejected the establishment of the Axis of Countries Whose Names End in "Guay," accusing one of its members of filing a false application. Officials from Paraguay, Uruguay, and Chadguay denied the charges. Israel, meanwhile, insisted it didn't want to join any Axis, but privately, world leaders said that's only because no one asked them. Sorry, the axis thing made me think of it. Anyway, it was a war on terror before we went to Iraq. We sent inspectors in, yes, but all that was doing was holding Saddam to the agreement he'd made with the Clinton administration to let inspectors in...and it's not like we only went to Iraq. The war on terror can't be won, but neither can we eliminate all murderers. Still need to find and prosecute the ones we can. I guess I'm not really opposed to policing the world; They should (and could) have gotten Hitler way earlier. Instead, he was appeased with "insignificant" countries and got comments about what a fine, smart, strong young man and good leader to get Germany back on its feet. Not from Germans, from the bigger countries. Year or two later they were saying, hmm, well, now he's trying to take over my country, maybe he's not such a great guy. When there is evil out there, and you've got the means to eliminate it or closest thing to it, I feel it's a moral obligation, just like I feel it's my moral obligation to fight for prolife, fight against abuse (human or other animals; I really don't like hurting or killing innocents, and yes I do value an animal life, just not as much as a human life. But woe to the person I see from things like kicking an animal to pulling legs off a daddy longleg to watch it die), fight for what's right. It's not like a nation in a civil war and wouldn't it be neat to give one side bigger guns and see what happens? When people are being treated abominably, I get extremely angry and will do all in my power to stop it.

Your post doesn't make all that much sense to me. Sure, if you turn Saddam and his supporters into terrorists and then hunt them down, you're fighting terrorism. Last I checked, Saddam wasn't flying an airplane into the World Trade Center. The war in Iraq was a preemptive strike against the Iraqi government to prevent WMDs that hadn't even be discovered yet from being used. Kerry was SUPPORTIVE of the disarmament of Iraq, but not the destruction of the infrastructure of the nation. There is no doubt in my mind that the 'War on Terror' and the war with Iraq should not be the same. And yet, where is this terrorism supposedly being fought? Finding Osama and putting him to justice isn't even a priority to Bush anymore ... we've got new "terrorist" rebels to fry in Iraq. Terrorism is a problem that can only be fought by a united effort from all nations. Bush's philosophy that America can do it alone just won't cut it.

I haven't read the whole thread so excuse me if this has already been said but I just recently did a report on Roe v. Wade and Roe is actually trying to get it overturned herself.
