I'm not sure if this was talked about, but why not have a guild mule? It would be easier to access funds given to the mule and be accessed only by the GM or the GM and crew, or however, depending on trustworthyness. This way, not only donations of gold can be funded into the guild, but items as well, such as thank you letters and donation items. When time comes for a big holiday event or special occassion, you can have contests where people can win those prizes and or gold.
Just a suggestion. ^^;

This is just a suggestion, but I know we did this in a guild I'm a founder of. We made a mule, [just like yours] and we had all active member add that mule so you can easily PM all of the mules friends, who are the members of this guild about important stuff they might, or might not see on the guild. Or, things like that. ^^;

Yeah, we have our mule open for those who wish to add it for the newsletter - but most people seem content just reading the journal entries for that - but it's there for those who want to +friend it.
