. tora wings . She laughed and shrugged her shoulder. Pythe squawked softly and adjusted his grip, raising his wings and flapping a couple of times.
"Nah, he's not always around. I control him; he's just a spiritual form of the Orb, actually. The Orb is my weapon, if you like to call it that."
She nodded up to the raven. He raised his head, and began to dissolve into a black mist. Rael raised her hand - palm upwards, fingers outstretched. The black mist whirled into a spherical form above her palm, and then she caught the Orb with a pleased flourish. It was made of black spun-glass, with flecks of silver and white dotted throughout. It emitted a faint, crackling hum.
"My father gave it to me - it's originally a Necromantic weapon, but we reprogrammed it to become an Angelic defensive device... I can change it into any form I choose. Comes in handy, I can tell you!"
She laughed, and returned to Pythe's shape again. He shook his head and made a vague crooning noise. Astarael's head turned towards Kuuza again. There was a feeling of vague disappointment when she heard that it would take centuries to become the Angel of Lost. She rallied, It was worth it. She had never seen such a strange object like the orb Rael had just shown her. It was fascinating. Something to change into any form she wanted; sounded a lot like what Seplaverta could do herself. Maybe we have more in common then I originally thought. She reached out to touch Pythe, seeing how real he was. The white bird didn't seem to mind her touch. If Seplaverta hadn't learned how Pythe came about, she never would have known he was different. "Heh, sorry," she said, realizing she was still petting the bird. She turned to Kuuza with an exaggerated spin and waited to hear what she- no- they would be doing next.

Pythe crooned at Seplaverta, content. He had found a friend. Astarael turned her gaze towards the Queen, too. She was eager to learn.

"Enjoying the fact you've been talking to my illusion all this time?" The smugly-satisfied woman gently walked up from behind Seplaverta and nodded to her new student, and exchanged a friendly glance with the old. "Both of you know it takes many years of training to achieve your goals, and you are constantly learning. That's good. Very good. But, as always, mortality does not, and should not, limit you."
She extended a hand to the open air and it seemed as if the very plane hummed. Small pieces of strange, un-matter gathered in her palm until Kuuza formed an ever-whirling sphere of quickly-changing colors.
"This is Chaos - its very essence. It took me countless years to achieve skill up to this level, but as skilled as both of you already are, I expect that you may be able to gather raw magic from the environment or your inner being." Calmly letting the chaos dissipate into its natural world, Kuuza folded her arms, clearly expecting her pupils to mimic her.

Calmly letting the chaos dissipate into its natural world, Kuuza folded her arms, clearly expecting her pupils to mimic her. Raels's yellow eyes widenend as she watched the Queen display her power, and Pythe's wings fluttered a little. Rael peered at the essence of Chaos for a while, then nodded as Kuuza released it. She could probably manage something along those lines. She raised both hands in front of her - fists clenched, palms down. The sand around her swirled into a cirle surrounding her feet, and the light around her dimmed just a little, throwing shadows over her afce. Pythe vanished. She closed her eyes, and the sand began to hover as the air became agitated. A frown formed on her brow, then after a supreme effort she smiled. The sand fell away and there was a shimmering sphere of light, creating eddies of wind around her, hovering between her clenched fists. Her hair blew back, exposing her beaming face and now-open yellow eyes.
"I'm skilled with air and light.. This is all I conjure up for now, but with medition I can form full entities..."
She grinned hopefully at Kuuza, and opened her hands. The ball of light remained and she looked at it. Maybe she could manipulate it now...

"That demonstrates rudimentary skills," Kuuza said impassively as she watched Rael form the sphere. She had skills, the Queen reflected, very advanced skills. But...
"The question is, can you release it?"

Chaos Rekkuuza "That demonstrates rudimentary skills," Kuuza said impassively as she watched Rael form the sphere. She had skills, the Queen reflected, very advanced skills. But...
"The question is, can you release it?" [eeep, i never get online during the weekends... stressed ]
After a slight pause, Rael looked up at the Queen. She frowned a little.
"Release it...? I can, I think."
She turned her full attention to the sphere again. Her eyes narrowed as she watched it closely, bringing her hands slowly closer together. The light brightened briefly, and then became smaller. Astarael compressed it until it was smaller than a pea. Smiling again, Rael opened her hands. With a soft sound of release, the sphere dissolved outward, whirling back into the general surroundings. Rael let out a long breath.
"It's harder than I imagined..."
She leaned over and got her breath back, then looked up at Kuuza, eyes hopeful. Had she done okay?

Seplaverta watched in awe as Rael gained and released the energy with almost no difficulty on her first try, despite her lack of breath at the end.
Turning her eyes away from the girl, and to the earth, Seplaverta tried the same. A green glow appeared on the ground, pulsing slightly. With a lift of her hand from her side, it rose into a small sphere, surrounding her hand.
Releasing it was not easy. In fact, she could not do it. She had to use it and released it in the form of a tree sapling, sprouting from the ground where the energy originated from. She looked back to Kuuza with her eyes lowered, slightly upset she couldn't do it.

"Two very, very different ideals," Kuuza murmured to herself, watching the students try. Obviously, Seplaverta didn't quite grasp the concept of releasing energy back into the natural flow and that could be a problem. She wondered who had taught her, then Kuuza rememebered that she was Seplaverta's only teacher. Flushing inwardly, Kuuza reprimanded herself for being so ignorant.
Rael, however... she had the tendency to do something rather academically, instead of using almost liberal means like Seplaverta's releasing of the energy into new creation. A small, barely traceable half-smile conjured itself on her lips. Yes, these two had quite the skill - Seplaverta through natural talent, and Rael through sheer power of will.
"You're jumping the sword, Seplaverta," Kuuza commented. "I wanted to see the common manifestation of your powers, but apparently you have already shown me."
