Her father is Noldor... Gil-Galad's brother no less. Her mother... ugh, I can't remember. Falathrim and I created her profile for Last Alliance and I didn't say in it and I can't remember. I'll ask him later.
She is definately half. She may be full... Go recessive blonde genes!

This isn't exactly about her, though. xP Her parentage just reminded me.
I don't know if there's a Gil-Galad/Ereinion here, but if there is... is he considered Fingon's son or Orodreth's? xD I've always seen him as Orodreth's son, for several reasons, and... well, since I have a Findekano mule hanging about here ready to make trouble, it would be good to know!

Depends on if you take the Silmarillion as canon or the HoME. I prefer the son of Fingon approach personally. We really need two to cover both possible angles.

But Gil-Galad being Fingon's son just doesn't make sense, canonically, as far as inheriting the kingship goes. I read an essay on it once, and I'll be damned if I know where it is. It might even be on the subforum somewhere. But. It really doesn't.
My Fingon is definitely not the fatherly type -- especially if he's technically got two sons now, instead of one wink -- so I'm going to have to side with the Gil-Galad mule on this one.
*cue dramatic Maury episode here*
Ereinion, Fingon is not your father.

Oh, that.
I think of it like this, no matter what I read or who tells me otherwise, nothing will convince me that Legolas is not a lone blonde in a forest of dark-haired Elves. Gil-Galad's parentage is much the same way. Reasons include hair colour, name, and Glaurung.

And I know, but it's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. sweatdrop I have found a lone reference to one Haldir, son of Orodreth which has confused me ever since. How canonical is it?

Alright, I found it! sweatdrop I don't know if posting a link to a thread in another guild's message board is completely kosher, but. xD Oh well! The forum's not private, and if it's against the rules I'll delete it, but I sure as heck am not copy/pasting the entire thing: Whee!It's certainly not any sort of proof or 100% swear-by-the-books canon or anything, but it convinced me. ;D
