callisto studied binx. ''rather.'' she said to him. she continued to stare at him, her deep green staring into his own, as though she were staring through into his soul. he wasn't a bad person, she gathered. a little confused but for good reason. a long silence passed as she looked, never blinking at binx. finally she broke it. ''what are you searching for?'' she asked.

About half of the heartless springing up from the ground charged at Lan, the other half seemingly retreating, with Jake seeming to back up a little as well, although it was hard to dicern him from the other soldier heartless running around if he wasnt faceing you (because the double symbol in only visible from the front). Ammongst the chaos, Jake knew there was orderly battle. Jake got in position and melted into the ground until he could continue the plan he had started.

Binx blinked, tilting his head to the side slightly as he stared back in confusion. "Huh?" he asked, not quite fully understanding the question. "What do you mean?"

Lan just smirked as the beam blasted the knight heartless into ash, hearts flying off. Twirling his keyblade he smiled, "Jungle Seal!" He shouted stabbing the earth with the tip of his blade. Shutting his eyes as the image of a man in only a cloth appearing for a moment, before a heyhole symbol lighted the ground all darkness around him bursting more hearts flying off.

Jake smiled, all of his heartless in position. The diversion had worked. He re-materialized and faced directly at Lan, spreading his arms out. "Heartless Cataclysm!" The heartelss that had gotten into position did the same (without talking). Dark energy formed around the completed shape, before finally, 4 heartless at the 4 opposite sides of the shape, that he had put extra effort into, put their hands together, sending a beam of the red-ish energy towards the center of the shape, which just happened to be Lan. (The camera pans around the heartless, before sweeping up to reveal the shape they had made: the heartless symbol, with Lan at the point where the lines crossed.) "SWARM HIM!" The heartless in the center immediatly jumped onto Lan, covering him in heartless, to keep him there.

callisto stared down, growing aggitatted at binx's confusion. ''it is simple. what are you searching for? what answer do you seek? is it too difficult to understand your own mind?'' she asked. though growing irritated, her tone remained smooth, gliding out as she spoke and not raising or showing much emotion.

The girl trapped in darkness clutched her heart and cried out. She fell to the 'floor' and squirmed around, gasping breaths escaping. The blind fold seemed to never move, never change, but simply stay in place and protect it's wearers eyes from some unknown force. She scrambled away from the dark dream that she felt. Her hand was pressed to where her heart was, and light spilled through her fingertips like blood. She sat and her other hand was palm to the floor for support.
"It's so dark....so empty....but I have to wait for the right moment....I have to walk through that darkness" she said to herself. She looked to the darkness with her sightless eyes and her hand was now clutched around a keyblade. It was a black keyblade, with a heart cut out from the blade. She sat there like that, waiting for the right moment.
"See me" she said again. She could only wait for this darkness to sleep so she could see how dark his dreams really were.

Lan gasped, his hand reaching up. "No...." He whispered the glow of his blade dimming a bit. His last words but a whisper before he was completly engulfed. "Give me hope...." his voice echoing as with in the black cacoon Lan was in a small shimmer, suddenly the heartless blasted away into hearts a Giant Golden Eagle spreading it's wings light filling the cavern as Lan kneeled, his keep blade in the ground as he breathed deeply his bangs covering his face. The Eagle looked at Jake, her eyes seeming to hold a fierce glare as her beak opened a powerful scream letting loose the rock around them cracking, her wings flapping as Lan held onto a talon. Before Jake knew what happened a hole was above him where the giant golden eagle had made an exist. Lan leaned aginst her leg his eyes drooping before he felt himself floating, the eagle had flipped him onto her back. He lay his eyes drooping, his blade shimmering brightly as the eagle took to the skies.

Binx looked at her curiosly, his mind attempting to process what she had asked him. He bit his lip a small frown forming. His eyes glanced to the side slightly. He looked back, a blank confused look on his face. "I'm... not sure what I'm looking for." he said honestly, glancing towards the ground before staring back up at he green eyes curiously.

Jake dismissed the darkness in the square, and watched the retreating keyblade user. "Congradulations. You have passed my test: you survived. This is my service to the keyblade masters, once again. I cannot repay my debt for the gift you gave me," Jake whispered, touching the keychain hidden around his left wrist. "Thank you for keeping me sane."

callisto studied binx further. ''i see.'' she blinked and lowered her head. ''perhaps, then, i cannot help you as i thought i would be able to.'' she said, looking to the ground. she grew saddened that she hand't a mission now, and the reason for her being in this town were torn from her yet again. she turned around to walk away when on the ground a large shadow passed over. it was something of a bird, she thought. she looked up but saw only the sun shining into her eyes. cursing under her breath she rubbed her eyes.

The Golden eagle landed in the middle of the sector, slowly sliding Lan off her back as she nestled him under her wing. Her Green eyes looking around wearily her own power growing dimmer as she fought to maintain this form.

The mage continued running towards where he had felt the aura, he having just finished the last one off. "That must be it, but he isn't like the ones I fought... not on the outside atleast..." the mage said quietly, finally spying what appeared to be his target.

Binx gave a small frown watching the lady turn away. "well... wait! Maybe you can help me find find something to search for!" he said brightly. He blinked wondering what had caught her attention. He looked around, blinking as he spotted a giant golden eagel nesting a boy. He raised an eyebrow curiously. "What in the world?" he asked, walking to the ledge of near the doors and leaning over, looking in confusion. "Thats... new..."

Jake sighed, out of energy. "I guess I'll have to pass on that other entity for now... too bad I couldn't test his power as well." Jake melted into the ground, darkwarping to find a safe place to rest.
He emerged in Hollow Bastion, in the area with the portal to darkness. He sighed and sat down, his back against the wall to rest. Although he had disspatched his visible darkness, he could still feel his dark aura from the battle surrounding him. He was too tired to get rid of that too, so he just rested, his eyes closed, promising himself it was only for a few moments.
Jake slept.
