"Hm..." Kohaku saw Ezra clawing at the walls looking for something important. "Can I help you with that. I think that a lever would be a bit obvious... Maybe a different method, how about a kick?" Kohaku stated formally.

Ezra smiled a sly little grin as he felt the wall. He didn't bother turning to face her.
"No scuff marks, this isn't meant to be kicked," He noted and took out a pair of black rimmed glasses from his front pocket. Putting them on he squinted closer to a bust of some greek god or other.
"Ah, there it is," he whispered and pulled a pen from the same location the glasses had come from. Clicking the pen open, he pushed it into the pupil of the statue, a section of the wall shifted backwards. He took off the glass and stuffed them and the pen back into his pocket. Taking off his mask, he looked back at th grl.
"Are you coming or are you just gonna stand there looking cute?" he asked, his formal facade shattered.

Kohaku didn't answer she simply ran in front of him quickly to go through the passage. "You can't catch me!" She shouted behind her immaturely and smiled. Finding it all the more difficult to see the oncoming darkness she took off her mask quickly and kept running deeper down the pathway.

Ezra had half a mind to stab the greek guy in the eye again and leave her in there. She had no idea where she was going or why.
With a sigh, he looked down at the schematics to the passage system and found the one that would lead him upstairs to the big man's hidden office.
it could work to his advantage, he reasoned, her being in there. She'd probably trip an alarm somewhere and the security would be distracted by her while he slipped away scot free.
"Right then," he muttered and clicked on a pen-sized flashlight.

Kohaku sat leaning against a wall and thought about what was going on. Someone called me cute. I got mad and, therefore, ran ahead. He would have probably come by now, unless he trapped me in here. No, don't even think like that. This is a secret, probably security in certain places. These are stairs, him... being 'smart' would have flashlight. I'll hide in the shadows and jump him from behind. Good Plan. Right... good, good, goood. I'm afraid of the dark. Not good. Forgot to factor that part in. Dang. Kohaku hit herself on the head and sat there waiting. Soon she heard footsteps and smiled.

"Don't hurt yourself sweetheart, it'll take more than hiding in the shadows to put one past me," Ezra said, shining the light on the girl. He was surprised and a little annoyed to find her waiting on the right path, but was able to hear her breathing from more than a few feet away.
"If this is gonna continue you're gonna have to be quiet as a whisper all right? If not, then i'll have no second thoughts about leaving you here a bit incapacitated," he said strictly. This was not the time for messing about.

Kohaku slapped the flashlight out of his hands. "That flashlight is pretty obvious in the dark, isn't it?" Kohaku said thoughtfully, like she'd just done a great deed for society.

right so option b it is he thought listening to his flashlight clatter on the ground with tired eyes. He grabbed her wrists and pushed her against the wall.
"Listen dollface, I don't care what you think you know, you screw this up for me and i'll make sure you're pushing up daisies," he growled. He wasn't a vicious person by nature, but he'd spent months planning this heist and wasn't going to let some snot-nosed little girl mess it up.
"Now are you in or out?"

"Shut up... loser. I know that those are empty words, they always are. I don't care what your plan is or not, tell me the plan. Now." Kohaku said just a little bit loudly to make him mad. She slapped him away and walked to the other side. This place is old. I wonder... Kohaku ran a hand over the walls quickly and then stopped.

Ezra ran a hand through his hair, if he didn't pull this off it wasn't just that he'd lost the best opportunity to get a priceless piece of history, it meant his life. He rubbed his wrist again and looked up at the stairs then over at Kohaku who was just messing everything up more by touching things.
This was supposed to be an in and out job, the clock was ticking, the power would be going on in only a few minutes. He didn't have time to play around.
As she enthralled herself with the wall, he started up the stairs.

"Idiot." Kohaku pushed on the wall and it fell open with a clang. This is the real passage isn't it? Secret passageways, every where and he thought he had the right ones. Idiot. Kohaku stepped onto the first step and ran for it.

glad she'd disappeared into a different passage he let out a sigh of relief. He did however wonder where she was going, she hadn't even any clue what he was after.
The office was just off to the side of the next passage, he found the catch that allowed the door to open and stepped into the light.
"Ah Crane, I was wondering when you'd make your way up here," A voice belonging to a man in a mask mused, leaning against the very object he'd come here to nick.
Ezra cursed inwardly and saw his odds of living getting worse and worse.
"That doesn't belong to you."
"It doesn't belong to you either young man."
"Yes it does, as a Freemason it's my job to protect history from private collectors such as yourself."
"That's not why you're here though is it?

"This isn't the right one... is it?' Kohaku gulped. She looked around the passageway, terrified. She looked around for what seemed to be the fifteenth time. She finally saw the window. She looked down at the ground. Three story mansion, second story staircase... Perfect She ran up the stairs eagerly and stopped, well ran into... a door. She paused to weigh her options, but curiousity got the best of her and she pulled on the door.

Ezra studied this man. He was too smart for his own good.
"What do you know about it?"
"I know that without this you've got maybe a year to live, but really Crane? Is it worth it?"
Ezra swallowed hard. No one knew about his condition besides his family's private physician. So how did this man know??
The object in a question was a vile from ancient china said to have great purifying qualities to all who drink from it. It was being protected by a dragon sculpture that wrapped around it, sealing it from all those deemed unworthy to drink from it.
The price--if he was even capable of opening the vile--was immeasurable. But it was one he was content to live with. Forever.

Kohaku fell into the room. It was uneasily quiet and had only one visible door, the one she came from. It was full of artifacts from all over the world. They wear all so beautiful, but what really caught her eye was the dragon sculpture in the middle of the room. She ran up to it and tapped it, it made a hollow sound... but something was in there. before she could investigate further she heard voices coming from her left. She approached it cautiously and stuck her ear to the wall to listen better.
