Darien II
I was thinking, that this thread could better serve a larger purpose as a "The Tech Sticky" covering all things tech, ie Gaming, Hardware, Software, Tech Industry...etc..
anybody else favour this idea? Not really....at all
If vg's are going to include tech then writing sticky should include rpg's which are vg's thus leading to the writing thread becoming "The Tech Sticky", the same loop hole would work for all threads in this guild.
We should eradicate all objective threads and create one large subjective objective thread "We occasionally talk crap subjective objective Thread"
Edit: If we're going to change threads for personal outer inter-duben projects we're going to need to see many a foiled change.
Mewcou: who in this guild is going to have up to date hardware based knowledge that would be benificial to you that you can't look up in a matter of seconds other than Darien?
Neon, Anulman? and Mewcou: If you were to put KotoR on the ps2 you would wasting large amounts of resources, the laughability of such an idea is laughable much the same as if Fable were to be put on ps2. The load times would be horrendous and the amount of gameplay sacrificed to allow for decent framerate and load times would lead to the thought of pac-man minus the ghosts.
From a Game oriented perspective the ps2 was as successful as those ab machines on early morning tv (the ones that are replaced by a new one every two and a half months), if you took away all the casual aspects (ability to play dvd's and music cd's) you would be left with a very ugly competitor. A very ugly competitor that kept the same piece of s**t controller into what it was describing as "the third place", way to herald in a "new generation" of games. The fact that multiplayer games were extremely popular and sony still proceeded announce and go through with the inclusion of only 2 controller ports on the console, at the same time announcing the "multitap 2" to ALLOW "easy" multiplayer functionality.
There was no attempt to make a GAMING console in the form of the ps2, sony's only aim was to create an economically successful multimedia entertainment system.
(Famicon and Super Famicon bearing the labels "entertainment system" become irrelevant due to the change in the colloquial definition of the label at the time compared to now.)
