he can sing damnit, he can sing. stare
it's still a matter of music taste. we all like different types of music, different bands and singers...i think macey grey is a HORRIBLE singer, she sucks!! but that`s just my opinion. some people love her and think she is amazing.
same goes for Gerard and Michael.

Generally having a person who's taken voice lessons for most of his life and sings professionally would have some clue what he's doing.. I don't think someone who'd taken maybe five months of voice lessons would be able to sing nearly as well as he does.. the very fact that Gerard Butler was chosen over some very good Tenors astounds and annoys me. I can't believe they chose him over someone who might have worked his whole life to sing that role.. only to be let down by someone who looks pretty. That really erks me.

So you're saying that because Butler is a better looking man, it makes up for his terrible voice? That's a rather shallow outlook.
There's plenty wrong with Butler, starting with his rasp.

I didn't hear the lisp, but I wouldn't put it past him. His voice cracks somewhere in there too.. 'Course, Steve Barton's voice cracked on All I Ask of You, but he does a good job on that song so I can forgive him. I also know just how high that note is, and it's not easy to sing.

THAT'S NOT WHAT WE'RE SAYING DAMNIT!!!!! we're saying we LIKE his voice. you've made it clear that you think he can't sing. but some people big to differ. i think his singing is awesome, and i enjoy his raspyness. i think it adds to it.

Xalio I didn't hear the lisp, but I wouldn't put it past him. "Down Once More" to the end of the film and it's there...
