"They make them o course" one kid said as he walked over to a chest and pulled out a variety. Some were low grade rocks with simple runes and others were gracefuly carved sculptings with deep smooth engraved words. There were a variety of non magic targets as well for those who jsut wanted something to shoot at or practice on. Erik and the pale kid pulled out there wands and started poking at each other with them like pencil sword fights, only after a moment they became energy swords in themselves and they through harder punches.

" No not truly often but this IS a dueling club... and that big lug just loves to blow things out of proportion" He gave a little grin as everyone watched like statues. Only to jump out of the way firecly quick when something came at them, or just block it outright. When finaly it was settled as a quick tie, everyone resumed chatting and joking as if they had just witnessed a program and wanted to discuss it or other things previously mentioned. Shaun came over and nudged Robs side and mentioned heading to bed soon. The dark locks on his head shook a little as he nodded and went off to find his friend among the strangely grown crowd.

In the common room Rob was found somehow to already be there and just heading up the stairs. He had a book in hand on dracology and her entrance startled him, making him turn sharply with a fierce look to see who was intruding upon this room only to calm seeing it was her. " I was just heading to bed, weve got our schedules to get tommorow too" he said with a grin as he vanished upstairs with a final wave.

Shaun and Erik went to there respective houses, making sure the decoy was in place as all the various kids moved about trying to avoid Filch. It was sure that one or two would be caught by him and that cat of his but they thankfuly didnt have to deal with such trouble. Soon enough the night was gone and these events were folding into memory as everyone woke for a new day.

As the early birds of raven claw got up to catch there worms, they found the sharp eyed Rob already up and about. a scroll in hand and a book under an arm. When he spotted Ashlyn he summoned her over " Ash, the teachers are all in a meeting and ive been told to give out schedules, heres yours " he pointedly handed her a tablet and glanced at his own " ...mmm, goody.. double potions and flying class with hufflepuff" he had a clear edge of disdain in his voice as he thought of Erik and his usual behavior.

Oh there a fine lot, not so headstrong as Gryffindor or underhanded as Slytherins, its just Erik is rather bull headed and even though a hard worker, can be annoying when he gets his ego going, but otherwise it should be fine" His sharp eyes flicked down her own schedule " yours looks about the same, thankfuly enough, and slytherins in only two classes, maybe we can avoid any major issues with them this year " his eyes rolled remembering last years little spats as they moved down to the greathall and found a seat, todays breakfast was as fine as ever but the air drafty as the main doors were open as were the hall doors.

The Defense against the dark arts class was always interesting to members of the dueling club and of course herbology and care of magical creatures class. he heald interest in it for its fighting knowledge and understanding of the things theyd be fighting against most of all in the future.
