I may not agree with your opinion but i respect it.

I understand how you could feel that way; however, the English continue to break UN statutes by keeping north ireland subjugated. The right to self-determination is entrenched in the UN international law,and this law goes overlooked simply because England is such a major member of the UN.
Not to mention the amount of innocents killed or tortured in north ireland by British command in the last 50 years.

It's true - the IRA has worsened the position of North Ireland in many ways. If the people of North Ireland could just forget about their differences and unite to try to change their situation, it would work much better than small groups of people killing the citzens of the nation that they want freedom from. It's like a little boy wanting a single cookie from the cookie jar and attacking his mom with a knife to try and get it instead of asking nicely after supper. XD Though the IRA probably look at it as a child trapped in a basement by some kidnapper and the only way to get out of the basement is by force >< ... but I like to think that the English has much much more intellegence and sanity than a kidnapper. But, the IRA is a small rebel group not representing any major nation, so it doesn't have to worry about getting a bad name from killing and torturing innocents; The disturbing thing is that Britain is a major world power and many countries look up to it for guidence and it still manages to murder and torture innocents.

I'm a halfling, my other part being German. I was born and raised in the States, southern California to be exact.

I take great pride in my irish heritage, and yearn to know all of it that I can. The language is first on my list. My father [being the irish side of me] has brotherhood ties to the Sinn Fein.

I've recently taken up the celtic harp, but already play bass guitar and little piano.
