Atsu looked out over the ocean for a moment before answering, "After I Thylia a proper burial, my mind was set on vengence. I had just assumed the worst about you, I really had nothing left worth living for. Arriving at Merko, I realized I couldn't do it, I just wasn't the monster that they were." He sighed and continued, "So I set out on a journey, a long trip to forget the past. It didn't work, and eventually I settled down here. I'm so sorry for not finding you..." Looking like he was almost ready to break down in tears at the thought that she had been out there all this time, he tried to compose himself again. "So, why did Spoon only send you to me now? Why not before?"

Ianthe followed Atsu's gaze to the ocean fascinated by the spectacle she had never seen before this day. "I think he intended for us to meet much earlier. We moved frequently in my youth often patrolling the forests near Merko warily only to turn away. His status as a fugitive meant we had to avoid many sentries and bounty hunters along the way as well." The girl paused as a breeze blew through her hair again. "For whatever reason our paths never crossed, and over time I think he came to believe it was a futile quest. I only embarked upon it for lack of anything else to do but grasp at the one sliver of hope he left me concerning my unkown origins."

Atsu smiled, "I was hoping you'd say that. I'd like to get to know my little girl again." He stood up and offered his hand to her.

She stood gracefully taking the offered hand but saying softly, "Um in case you hadn't noticed I am not so little anymore."

Atsu and Ianthe walked back to the guild, where Atsu introduced her to everyone and told the tale. (Now in his bio on the webpage.) That night he threw a small party to celebrate their reunion.
