Ako looked back, but didn't see Saro. Frowning she returned her attention to the apartment. Suddenly she remembered she had left the door open. "Oh!" She exclaimed and looked up to Father Michael. With a reassuring nod from him, she ran back towards their apartment.

Finally at the small house, she glanced around. It was in the worse areas of the city, that wasn't suprising, and she could feel eyes watching her, and the wolf at her side. Knocking twice on the door, hoping she wouldn't brake the fragile-looking thing, she slipped inside once the door was opened. A older man, along with two wiry guards, watched her. "Takiro?" she asked, to which the older man nodded. She set a small pouch on the desk along with a piece of paper, the outline of a flame being the only thing on it. "I need information on this...." she said, letting a faint smile form on her lips.

Ako ran back to the apartment door, upon inserting the key, she fell to the ground.
Father Michael walked slowly back to the apartment, only to find that Ako was passed out on the doorstep. "Ako!"Father Michael repeated. The silver cross on Michael's back began to shimmer and it slipped from his shoulder and tinked against the cold ground. Seeing the glowing turquoise he gripped his sword. He grabbed Ako with the cross in his hand and lifted her limp body over his shoulder. He then unlocked the door and entered the house. As the door closed, the bone-chilling caw of the rook echoed in his ears, and he knew all to well what it had just said.
The Storm of Impending Doom is at Hand...

Stumbling, after being shoved out a backdoor of the house, she set a hand on the wall she'd almost ran into to steady herself. "That went better than some..." she muttered, sighing. She knew no more about the mark than she had. It was a pirate's brand, marking you as a member of the crew of that ship, but no one could say which ship or captain it belonged to.
Khalia, moved against the elf, shuddering. Saro set a hand on the wolf's head, tensing as she understood the whimpers. "Come on, we have to find Karik...." she said before running off, Khalia at her heels.
She was pulled into a doorway, nearly loosing her balance as a hand grabbed her shoulder. Pushed against the wall, she glared at her 'captor' cupped a hand over her mouth, ignoring the bristling wolf.
"It's gone. Destroyed in a fire. We can't stay in ashes, you'll have to find somewhere else to stay." Karik said, moving his hand from her mouth. "What about you?" She asked, leaning against the wall. "Why do you care? And, I can get places faster than you. Shadows are everywhere. Good luck Saro." he said, melting into the shadows at his back, to her annoyance.
Sighing, she turned and ran in the direction of Ako's appartment, hoping she could stay there, provided she could find it.

Father Michael latched all five locks on the door and even took the liberty to double lock the windows. Ako was on the recliner, wrapped in the wool blankets from the pantry. He stared at her and sighed, hoping that she would awake soon. He heard soft, faint, padding footsteps outside. His keen hearing allowed him the knowledge that whoever, or whatever, was outside was trying to be sneaky.
Ako awoke to the crackle of a fire in the fireplace, and she was wrapped securely in wool blankets. She felt cool metal against her neck, and she pulled her hand out from under the blankets. She lifted the silver and turquoise cross up and allowed the firelight to glitter through the turquoise stones. She looked back, her face pressing against the leather of the recliner, only to see her father pressed up against the wall next to the door, his hand on the hilt of his sword, ready to draw and fight. He looked at her and smiled sadly, then turned back to look at the door. Waiting...

(("Eh, I forgot something in the description earlier; it's at the end of appearance and has now been added.")) Xidun wandered into a new town. Well, technically this one was a city, but what did it matter? He wandered about the streets and noticed someone running out of the town. He decided to follow her, but first he exited the city. Then he shifted fully to fox form and carefully followed behind her. ((That's supposed to be Saro))

Saro muttered a stream of elven curses, to which Khalia looked at her curiously, then smirked, if such was possible. The wolf lifted her head and howled, the mournful sound echoing throught the city. Ako might recognize it, or perhaps the man she'd been with would. She slowly followed her mistress farther from her goal, hoping the elf would lead her to shelter soon.

Ako stared at her father with worry as he tensed at the howl of the wolf. Her eyes became worried herself and she gripped the silver cross tightly to her chest. It was cold and she gripped the base of it with both hands.
Father Michael pulled his sword from the sheath and it shimmered in the firelight, reflecting the orange and red shadows onto the ceiling.

The werefox decided he was tired of following her, so he ran ahead and then shifted to his usual form: mostly human, but with the tail and ears so there was no mistaking his race. He caught his breath and then walked so that he approached her from the side. "Hello, stranger," he said in a friendly tone of voice. "You look lost." As usual, he was exercising his magic, and every bit of him invited trust.

"You're point?" she asked as she turned to face him, still wary despite his magic. Is everyone here this friendly? she wondered, meeting his gaze and resting a hand on Khalia's back. To her suprise, the wolf moved foreward and nudged his leg with her head, her tail wagging slightly. Saro looked from Khalia to the werefox, suprise evident on her features. The wolf trusted few, even with magical effects.

"Well, what exactly are you looking for? I might be able to help," he said. He thought she might be a little annoying, but if he 'disagreed' with her at some point and wanted to kill her he'd keep the wolf. Then again, she (the wolf) might not like him if she saw him kill the master. In any case, that sort of planning wasn't necessary now, so he stopped thinking about it. It was just in time, anyway, since she started talking when his train of thought stopped.

"Somewhere to stay. Any inn I've found is full." she said, having searched for one before she met Ako. She unconsiously let her hands fall near the hilts of the swords, and the wolf moved from them both, as if sensing the were's thoughts.

He said, "Well, I could sniff out something humanoid and or a fire and probably find a house, but I guess you might have already thought of that sort of thing." His eyes pointed toward the wolf for a second to imply what he meant.

"Can you help in any other way?" she asked, biting back a retort.
