I prefer rock. Bands like Coldplay, U2, Jack Johnson, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Jimi hendrix, Johnny Cash, Styx, Queen, and so on and so forth.

Agreed. I don't like most of the mewer rock stuff... I also prefer dance music, like house, trance, breakbeats, and (Randomly) Old-Skool Rap.

I don't much like the newer rock either, much too hard, especially the crazy screaming stuff. In my opinion the very best music has lyrics that can generate deep thought or meaning.

I love the older rock, 80s-early 90s, some metal, like Helloween and Elven King, a bit of Primal Fear.
When rap was first introduced it wasn't bad, but the bile that is spewed and labeled as rap nowadays just sucks.

Hahaha... I don't listen to artists, I listen to songs, mostly. But as for the few groups that I do know the names to that I listen to, let's see how many you guys recognize. And I don't have the luxury of being able to pick up more than one station on my radio. crying

Aerosmith, Queen, Nickelback, Black Sabbath, Twisted sister, and Styx are good too. And yes I agree, rap is nothing but speaking to a beat painfully simple to make.

Even heroes know when to be scared." GAH! His music is caught in my head. Doesn't help that he has an awesome speaker system and I don't.
