"Yes?" she said, but the slight intonation told otherwise. But now she was becoming nervous, the hairs on the back of her neck tingling at the thoughts provoked, and she began to work briskly. Having grabbed a large, knotted stick, Sachi proceeded to etch a thick line in the spongy earth.
"This line can be easily erased, or covered over," she said quietly, "We should do more than 'draw' a line, right? Maybe line it with rocks or something?"

"Huh?" Sachi instinctively reached behind her head. Her fingers touched warmth and wet, and she discovered that her fingers were red. "Blood..." she whispered, then made a face. "Oh, great. Blood makes me queasy. And this must be from yesterday." Well, way to state the obvious, she thought, but I can't believe I didn't know this was here. I'm not called Otto for nothing...

"Not life-threatinging (proabaly)," Domerin guessed, treating it for her as she had neither the flexiblity nor the lin of vision to do so herself.

"That's comforting," she grumbled, wincing at times during the treatment. When Domerin had finished, she thanked him and stood. "Should we have a guild meeting to inform everyone?" she asked distractedly, staring into the vastness of the apparently lethal forest area ahead.

Domerin thought for a moment. "Yea," he finally said, "You go get everybody and bring them here. If you have no objections," he added hastily.

"Of course not," she assured, turning back towards the guild. "Do you think I'd rather find them all dead some morning?" The black humor sent a chill down her own spine. "I'll be back as soon as I can."

Sachi made it back fairly quickly, considering the practically 2-mile distance. Within the hour, the guild members were all dressed and fully ready to set out again.

Domerin waited anxiously. He wasn't sure how he was going to phrase their situation.

Not long after, the entire guild was seated attentively before Sachi and Domerin in the center of the forest.
"As you know, everyone, we're having a guild meeting," Sachi began, a little uncertainly.
"Why in the middle of the forest?" someone asked while yawning. Sachi turned to Domerin.
