Grateful that she'd been standing in front of the girl, she caught her as she fell. I knew something wasn't right with her...help me please! She and the newcomer take Amaya by the arms and walk her over towards the waiting chocobo. Looking around, Mira considered their options. Well, we could take her back to her village to see a doctor, but I hate to think what they might think of us, and with one of their own slumped over like this, however I think it is best we continue on and leave this area...I'd rather leave here as soon as possible, and put as many miles between us as well can. Sit down, Chicky boy. The chocobo obediently lay on the ground and the two lifted the unconscious girl onto his back. Working quickly, Mirage fashioned some straps to hold her on it's back, and after commanding Chick to rise again, she double checked her work. Checking the girl over quickly, Mira was satisfied she would be okay for the moment. C'mon...let's get out of here. I don't want to be here any longer than I need to. Clicking her tongue, she grabbed Chick's reins, and they began to walk the direction Amaya had been taking earlier when Mira first met her.

Amaya slept for what must have been several hours on the chocobo, of which when she awoke had no idea how she had gotten there. Feeling a bit groggy she sits up rubbing the sleep from her eyes. Looking at her surroundings she realizes they must have been traveling for quite some time now. Softly she speaks, "What happened?"

Mira got up from where she sat by a tree on the edge of the woods, where they were setting up camp before dark fell. The valley before them was a beautiful lush green color, but since their encounter with the odd man, she'd counseled with their newest member, and they decided to camp at the edge of the woods just to be safe. You fainted, simple as that. Chickie boy's been carrying you this whole way....be careful, I strapped you to him pretty good, and your pack is behind you. You feel any better? Walking to the fire, she stired some stew she was making, the meat of which was from a couple rabbit-like creatures she'd caught earlier. What they had in their supplies she wanted to save for later, for when winter truly hit, and meat and wild veggies would be harder to come by.

Cho looked between them, then turned her attention to the stew, watching it cook. For a moment she closed her eyes, welcoming the warmth of the fire. It was starting to get a little chilly, and she always felt most comfortable by a fire. Her eyes flickered as she watched the embers dance. She reached for her pack and pulled out a blanket and wrapped it around her arms. Pulling it snuggly around her shoulders and hugging her knees in a child-like manor, she looked to Amaya once more.

Amaya looks around at the campsite that the other two had put together. She looks down seeing the straps that were in place to keep her from falling off the chocobo. While rubbing the back of her neck she smiles softly at Mira and the new girl."Hmm all I remember was feeling odd and a little feverish. I'm alright now though. Thanks to your looking after me. So how do I get down from here?" She tugs lightly at the seat belt.

Mira sips a bit of the soup, glad to see it's finally done, and sets it aside to cool a bit. Getting up, she walks quietly over the Chick, scratching him on the neck, then quickly sets to work on the straps keeping her left leg locked to the chocobo's saddle, and undid the end of the "seat belt", though it wasn't much of one, just set to keep her from being jounced around too badly by the bird. Silently she worked the girl free, then commanded the bird to sit so she could get off without too much trouble. She was visibly worried about Amaya, and looked her over for herself. Satisfied she was okay, Mira walked back to the slightly cooler stew and ladled a bowl of it three-quarters full. You say you feel okay, but you still look a bit weak...here, eat this before getting off Chicke boy, it'll help you get your strength back.

Amaya stretches while yawning as Mira gets her a bowl of the stew. She then leans forward patting the chocobo's neck. "Thank you for carrying me all this way Chickie." She smiles as Mira brings her back some steaming soup. She slowly takes a spoonful."This is really good. I truly feel better already. I'm sorry to be such a burden so early on in our journey. I don't understand why I fainted like that. It's never happened to me before."
In between bites Amaya turns her attention to the girl by the fire."Hello, there. I'm sorry you had to see me like that. I must say I am a bit embarassed by it. I'm Amaya, by the way." She smiles sweetly and continues eatting.

Mira returns to the fire, ladling out another bowl for Cho and hands it to her. Thank you..here you go, and be careful, it's still quite warm...good for this chilly weather. She goes back and ladles out one for herself before settling next to Chick's neck. Her fur kept her quite comfortable most of the time, but when winter came, the extra body heat came in handy. She took out some food for him out of her bags before eating her own soup. She and Cho, unfortunatly, had done little more than introduce themselves during the journey, Mira having kept quiet, wary of anyone coming upon them unannoucned, only relaxing bit by bit as the day wore on.

Cho grins as the meal is handed to her, "Don't be embaressed-worse things could have happened." She tasted the soup, relishing the flavor before shoveling more mouth-fulls. "Oh, and thanks so much for letting me come along-and the food tastes great."

Amaya finishes eatting her stew then carefully gets down from the chocobo to join the other two next to the campfire. Bringing her pack along with her she unrolls her bedding and sits ontop of it. Leaning closer to the flames she warms her hands. "The more the merrier. I'm glad to have the company. I was a little worried when I left my family that I would be spending a lot of time alone. Glad I was wrong about that."

Amaya smiles over at Cho nodding her head, "It's a pleasure meeting you Cho. And Yes Mira's right. I grew up in a village not far from here. We are actually pretty close to the edge of the Silvan forest now. Although I know these woods well I'm not as familiar with what's outside of them. My people don't get out much. We like to keep to ourselves mostly. At least that's how it is now. It wasn't always this way. You're lucky you didn't get attacked by anything. I hear there are monsters roaming these parts." She then takes a deep breath realizing she just blurted everything out thus giving Cho a moment to respond.

The general rode across the empty plains searching. Searching for what killed his love, his soul. The wind whipped around his face, pushing his hair into his striking blue eyes. His best friend, his blood red soul blade, rest across his back, seeking shelter from the cold air.
Clouds drifted across the sorrowful moon, ice circles reaching comfort out to him. But comfort he would not find until his wife's murderer was killed, given the same blood-filled death his wife was.
He passed through a town a few hours later, and stopped in at the tavern there.

"Monsters? I haven't come across any yet here. I haven't traveled too much myself yet, so I have to confess that I too am unaware of much of this world." Cho brushed her bangs to the side so she could see a little bit better.

"I hope that the monsters aren't as scary as I imagine them to be. I would say you're pretty lucky that you didn't have to fight any... So I hope you don't mind my asking this, but where are you from?" Amaya asks eagerly, wanting to hear more about the outside world.
