That's what people said when they started out making a garage DEATH Metal band and only made Grindcore quality songs.
Music is deeper and harder to make then you think. I've been in a Gore DEATH Metal for 7 years now.

It can be of a genre that generally sounds the same, but add some variety to it please. I know it isn't easy to write music but I don't think Metallica earn the fame and wealth they have, when there are far better bands who work hard at reinvention and creating a personal and distinct sound that never get any real recognition. Metallica are over-rated! At least Megadeth can do more than the usual, boring, predictable Thrash Metal. It's so monotonous.

I adore Metallica, my first metal band. :]
I don't think they sound repetitive at all, really. I believe all of their albums sound different, like compare Ride the Lightning to The Black Album. HUGE difference, but I love the variety. Ride the Lightning being my favorite, actually. xD

Most of the albums MegaDeth has made are more Speed Metal sound than Thrash because they weren't even part of the "Big Four of Thrash Metal" whereas Metallica was.

yeah,ive been a metallica fan since i was like 6.
...and compairing metallica and ,megadeth is completely retarded.
theres 2 things they have in common and thats it really
dave mustane and some random megadeth songs sound like some metallica songs(or vice versa) but they are completely different otherwise

But the weird thing about MegaDeth is that Mustaine created out of spite for James and his intention was to make it bigger than Metallica but never were able to make it mainstream. Mainly because of the intricacies of all the albums and songs alike but also because Mustaine's voice isn't all that appealing and the album Peace Sells...But Who's Buying? really showed that. But with No More Mr. Nice Guy they could have made it mainstream but never did because of the fact that they could never step out of Metallica's shadow.

I still like them though.....they just can't compare to Metallica in my eyes..
