WatersMoon110 I.Am FreeArsenal I.Am (What, thatyou're joking? I figured, but, damn the internetron! It's hard to tell.) Who said I was joking? I was only hammering in my point that most girls who are extreme pro-choice are pretty much not really that good looking. Yeah, whatever. rolleyes Maybe the extreme Pro-Choicers. But all it takes to be Pro-Choice is to not be Pro-Life. It doesn't take much. I disagree. That extreme (moronic) Pro-Choicer who can be seen running into and pushing down a Pro-Life protesters on YouTube is still rather attractive. So even extremists can be attractive. It's too bad that all crazy people aren't ugly looking, so that we would know who to avoid in life. But really attractive people can be crazy also... It also depends on your definition of attractive. Some people find personalities more attractive then physical qualities; For them, she would be quite ugly. wink And for a Pro-Lifer who is that way, extremist Pro-Choicers would be very unnattractive, to be completely blunt.

I must admit Waters that I didn't expect anyone to make new banners, and the one's you made are actually very nice.

Hrm....I'm tempted to make some sort of banner with, if not ugly babies, maybe particularly deformed ones...? xp That seems kind of exploitative, though... Just to make the point that everyone deserves respect, no matter what they look like, I guess.

I agree. Though I think using all sorts of different babies (with and without disabilities) might make for better banners? If you feel inspired, go for it!

kp606 I must admit Waters that I didn't expect anyone to make new banners, and the one's you made are actually very nice. Thanks. I tried to only pick women I thought weren't attractive, but I sort of liked the way all of them looked by the end of making them. It's actually rather hard to find pictures of ugly women online, unless you specifically look up "ugly woman" or "ugly women". I was suprised at how many of the pictures that came up for just "woman" were very attractive.

No: Not unattractive. Just real. There is a difference.

kp606 No: Not unattractive. Just real. There is a difference. Agreed. All of the women in the other banners seemed to be very young also (which kind of makes sense, since Gaia's target audience is younger people). I tried to pick half older women, because people of all ages choose to be Pro-Choice (and also Pro-Life, of course).

Hey Watersmoon, like your banner in your sig... it provides more empathy to the movement you support.
It's better than lust. smile

FreeArsenal Hey Watersmoon, like your banner in your sig... it provides more empathy to the movement you support. It's better than lust. smile The Pro-Choice ones? I found out how to use the TekTek random sig, so I added all the little squares I made into it. I want to make Pro-Life ones too, for the link to this guild, but I'm stumped on how to phrase them. Really, the one I have is about the only thing I could think of... I'm trying come up with some "It's lonely to be Pro-Life on Gaia if you don't belong to the PLG" type sayings, but I want to put pictures of different babies with them... I might just end up with more daffodils and some sort of "Pro-Life? Check out this Guild!" text.

I don't think there really is anything you can put for a pro-life sig that wouldn't stir up so much emotion... the obvious picture for my choice would be babies, perhaps not the cutest ones but just plain babies? It's hard not to find a baby that isn't cute... As for the sayings... I am not sure... perhaps... "All life has a right to exist." It's your banner, it's up to you. 3nodding

I've seen pro-life people complain about how fetuses with deformities or disabilities are aborted. So maybe images of babies with downs syndrome and such. It would be a rather bold statement. It's very easy to be pro-life if you live in a delusional world where all babies are adorable and have loving homes waiting for them. (Not saying that any of you do). I think it would be very bold to make the statement "Yes we know they aren't all white, healthy, and beautifull. It doesn't matter."

I can't speak for all pro-lifers but I would adopt a baby/child with a disability, because I'm partly disabled myself I know how it feels and I also know how to deal with it easier then someone who is not disabled or spent a lot of time with disabled people.

I'm not sure if I would or not. I want to adopt an older sibling group when we are more finacially secure, and after my fiance has gone through Grad School. I don't think I would turn down such a group if one member of it had special needs, but I don't know if I could take care of multiple special needs children if their needs were severe. Even if I were a stay at home parent, I worry that I would not be enough care for such children. I had (until last year crying ) a cousin almost exactly my age who was disabled, and my mother's cousin is also disabled. I think I have probably spent more time with people who are disabled than many people, but I don't have any disabilities myself.
