pook666 Cherry Milkshake xx-Bl0ssy-xx Cherry Milkshake xx-Bl0ssy-xx there is nothing wrong with x-country its a great equestrian sport. yes things do happen [i know from experiance] but you go see a x-coutry event and its very unlikely that youll see something freakish happen I never said anything bad about X Country and who are you talking to anyway? the title of the topic 'isn't cross country crule?' Yeah and what about it? "X-country" is a short term for cross country. X is cross. She's saying there's nothing wrong with cross country and that freak accidents are rare. I knew that, I wasn't asking on what the X stands for and thats what she's saying? when she said cruel, I thought she meant to say that Cross Country is cruel.

Cherry Milkshake erin_oh! I love cross country. Its just as dangerous as any other equestiran sport. Even though I did have my worst fall the last time I jumped cross country. But even then, I was the one that got injured, not the horse.... Cool I always wanted to try Xc and it's the most dangerous horse sport ever? I never knew that and ouch! but still I hope you're allright! sad I didn't say it was the most dangerous, I said it is just as dangerouse as any other eq. sport, as has been stated before.

Hey, I know this thread is kinda old but I know a lot of people who do cross country. It requires so much practice! And sure it can be dangerous but it will keep a young horse fit and it's really fun! I haven't ever done a proper cross country comp but I've done a few courses and gosh it's tiring! and these courses were very very beginner ones with teeny weeny little jumps. heart
