RainyAndrew I don't hide the fact that im pagan (i havent felt comfortable calling myself wiccan yet because i dont feel...like i've learned enough). i mean, i dont go out screaming it to everyone, but if someone asks, i'll tell them. Because not many people know of my religion, i've come across more intolerance towards my ideals. Like in english last year, we were constantly going over the "controversial" issues in the world. For just about every single one of them, i was the most outspoken person in the room, practicaly always against what other students were saying. Most of which, fyi, were christian, and used that in they're arguments, like how homosexuality is against god and such. I was constantly forced to remind them that not everyone in the country is christian, so our politics should never be based on christian beliefs. So while in that class i didnt straight out say i was pagan, it was sortof obvious that i wasn't christian. but i felt more....intolerance because of what i thought than what i was. I know exactly how you feel! I guess I'm WicChristian (lol) I still have faith in the Christian god and teachings and stuff, but I'm more for Wiccan ideals. I'm sick of the Christian church saying stupid crap like that. Luckily, my chruch is against most of the Streotypical Christian ideals. ie: they say gay marriage is okay, abortion is the woman's right, ect. The class right above my grade in school is like uber-Christian and if you even mention gay marriage they will like rocket off on an entire explanation on how it's totally wrong and unacceptable. If you try to argue with them, they won't listen and will continually say the same stupid point over and over until you just get sick of them and walk away. xd Mostly, i've always felt pretty accepted, but I've only recently switched to practicing Wicca. Perhaps that will change soon.

Perhaps that will change soon. I have a similar problem but most of my friends have acepted me as wiccan or are wicca themselves. But I keep saying random facts and reminding people there are more religions than christianity (though my school is quiet relaxed about religion), it's mainly the R.S. teacher. I don't mind people knowing, but I don't shout it out. Infact I only tell someone if they ask. Two people I know found out I was wiccan and asked me if I had a witchy room. However they were my friends, but I don't want to think about this stuck up girl in my class would do, as we're kind of enemies and she would proberbly tell te whole school

And mixing such religions is actually a good idea. it provides a wider background. Today I started my own coven with my closest friends. We needed to banish an evil spirit from the tunnels under our school. we found a satanic shrine in the tunnels and we brought stuff to represent the four elements and we chanted spells and did lots of things to rid the area of the negative energy and spirits.

Satanics are not nessacerily "evil" as you would say. They have just as much right practicing there religion as we have practicing ours. You may not agree with them, but i don't think I would like someone messing up my shire to my God, albiet it was on public property as I understand it.

Yeah, some of my friends and I have a study group type thing. It is teh coolness. They might even be coming over next Friday for Midsummer. By the way, it is many people's belief that nothing in the world is pure evil. What did this Satanic shrine look like?

What did this Satanic shrine look like? well, besides all the graffeetie (cant spell that word >_<) anyway...so there were burned down candles, pentagrams all upside down (the classic representation of satanic groups) there were also lables saying all sorts of stuff....sorry my memory is a little hazy. ^_^ ADD sucks.....sleep deprevation and insomnia doesnt help it. lol, my memory is really bad. i have hard time remembering stuff. but i do clearly remember the upsidedown pentagrams.

Actually, no. Summer Solstice doesn't have to be on the full moon. Though, from my research, I found that Full moon comes at about midnight on the 21st. (EDIT: Sorry, I'm in Eastern Time, so for me it's closer to midnight on the 21st than it is for you) I also found that this year's Summer Solstice is on the 21st. So it's more of a coincidental thing.

I hate to sound mean but I know it is going to come out this way... it sounds like you have been watching a little too much Charmed. Not to say it does not happen but very rarely will a spirit openly attact someone, and even rarer will a Satanist group summon a spirit and have it bother anyone but the people who summoned it. Satanic rituals are similar in to ours in that they do invokings but unlike of they are usually of Satan but they usually like ours say good bye too before breaking there circle. There probably would be some energy left over from that but not a spirit. And I think you said that it was underground... I am comfident in the purifying effects of the earth so the bad energy would not stay there for long anyways.

Yeah I love Litha. I am actually planning on having an open circle at my house. I live off the road in a wooded area so that we wont be disturbed. I talked to some of my pagan friends from the college that are staying for the summer and they said that they would really enjoy it. We were talking and we were throwing around the idea of doing it skycald, but if we did that people would have to be older then 18 or be accompanied by a parent and I don't know how that would fly in my area. I think so far the plan is just a basic Gardnerian ritual for Litha, then a bonfire all night with singing and dancing. If anyone lives in Western NY and are intresed in coming tell me and I will give you more details on a later date.
