Arashi Tenshi Appuru-Pai I can't see it >.< At ALL. And Mike and Bryan wouldn't do that. They service the fanservice, and right about now, the majority of fans are Zutara/Kataang.
You're bringing the writers into this? Don't spoil our fun, purely theoretical/hypothetical discussion with the real world! Last I checked we were discussing in story plotlines and characters' personality for compatability.
Plus right now it looks like Kataang is way more likely than Zutara so that leaves Zuko free for Toph. XP[Try to realize the truth.
Now, don't you argue about the fans either, if this whole argument is based on actual canon fact.
Damn hypocrites.

As far as facts, there's hardly any if there's any at all. It's more of a "Hey, wouldn't it be neat if-" shipping. And about them not having a serious conversation, if memory serves me right, I don't think they've had a conversation at all. I wrote some stuff on this in the "Who's best for Toph" thread so I'm quoting myself here. Mage Negi - They both have a connection thru Iroh. After hanging out with Iroh and each other they could become friends. - They're both high class. All things aside, visually can't you imagine Zuko and Toph as a rich royal family? - Their personalities are similar. They seem to have the same kind of stubborness and sense of "humor." The one thing that could possibly stop Toko: Their personalities are TOO similar. I can see one thing coming between them and causing them to go at each other's throat.

I was stating that in story it looks less likely for Katara to ever go for Zuko after the season two finale. I wasn't talking about the fans. >.>
Sokka's too into Suki to really notice if Toph had a crush on him or not. Think about the episode with Aunt Woo: Mang had to confront Aang before he even realized she was the least bit interested in him. And Toph doesn't seem like the type to do that. Toph also has a great respect for Iroh. A respect that Zuko shares even if he's currently too prideful and stubborn to admit it. Actually, both Toph and Zuko are prideful and stubborn, they have a lot in common like that! XD
Anyways, as I've stated before: if they ever were going to be a couple they'd spend a while as friends first. It wouldn't be an instant attraction on either person's part.

Well, first off, age difference isn't that big of a deal. My father and my first step-mother were seventeen years apart. The only reason for divorce was because my step-mother got into drugs. Otherwise, she was entirely happy with my father. Since then, she's been remarried three times, and admits she's only looking for a man as good as my father.
Now, Toph and Zuko are only three or four years a part. That's not a bad difference. Personally, I'd like a guy about two to four years older than me. As it's said, females mature faster than males, and although Toph MAY act like a kid sometimes, she's strong and can be mature at times.
To be mature doesn't mean you have to give up your childish ways.
At any rate, she does at like a child sometimes, but in esscence she's just a sarcastic little quip. I love that. And if people believe she's childish for those facets of her personality, they need to learn the difference. ^^
Also, Toph would be able to push Zuko, since everyone has seen how emo he can get. She can argue with him, and be twice as stubborn as his butt. She can help him to push himself to be stronger, as he wants to be, and can also make him listen. It's so hard for me to explain how they would just work so lovely together. Then again, I'm drawn to pairings like that. ( For example; Marie and Frank from Everybody Loves Raymond, or Megara and Hercules from Disney's Hercules. )
The ones that bicker, and tease, and prank each other, but deep down their relationship is just so awesome.
I can't wait to see their interaction, if there's any, in the future episodes.
