"first house I've seen in eight years" he repeated then heard her question "oh, stew, I'd be delighted!" he said as he came in invited "nice house by the way, how ever did you build it on such short notice?"

Amense shrugged, not wishing to talk about the house. "I have my ways." Knot still growled protectively, and Amense ruffled the thick wolf-like fur on his head. "It's OK boy, Rein is a friend." She went to the small iron stove and turned it on, to get ready to boil some water. "So you've been here eight years?" She asked Rein, trying to start a conversation.

"yes, eight long years of running from the Norcus, but you are the first people I've seen since then, though I've not been lonely, for I had the trees to keep me company" he smiled at the aroma of cooking stew

Amense put a few more berries and roots in and started stirring. "I know how it is to feel lonely, nobody was ever my friend before. They were all scared of me." She spoke cheerful, like she didnt care about how she used to live. "But I'm starting to like this place, the atmoshere and everything are just so friendly-except of course for that Norcus fellow." She grabbed some bowls from a nearby cabinet and poured three bowls of stew.

Fabian turned at the sudden movement. Aiden squaked and flew to his shoulder. He grunted and went back to his work.
~Blair stood up and fixed her hair. She saw the man and whistled.~
Fabian turned again."so you're up. It's 'bout time. If you slept any more i could swear the Norcus would come and attack you while you sleep. Besides you should thank me--"He fiddled with the net.
~She stared at him with strange feelings."--why is it that every person i seem to meet here seems to have saved me from something?!"~

Amense gave a bowl to Rein and a bowl to Knot and then sat down at the small table. "Hmmm.... Lemme think.... Oh yes! I had joined a travelling caravan and we were going to some city to deliver some mail and sell a bunch of junk that we labled 'rare artifacts from foriegn lands', and we came to the edge of this forest one night. We stopped and made camp, and it was all very merry for awhile, until we had to make a fire. It was my turn to get fire wood, so they sent me into the forest. I gathered a bunch of dry sticks and dead longs, allmost more than I could carry, but I couldnt find my way back to camp. That was two days ago..."
Her eyes searched Rein's face curiously, she heard what he said about the Norcus absorbing magic and weak to light, but she showed no signs of hearing at all.
So this Norcus fellow is weak to light... Thats a good thing to know...

Amense smiled, "Why thank you!" She ate a few bites and then gave the rest of her stew to Knot, who greedily lapped it up.
Amense shrugged. "They probably went on to the city as planned. Nobody followed me, so nobody got lost in the forest but me. They never liked me much anyway." She gathered her bowl and Knot's bowl and placed them in the sink. "So how did you come to be in this forest with no end?" She asked Rein as she sat back down at the table.

"first of all, this forest does have an end, though, it is impossible to get out of for it tricks you, you think you walk in a straight line which would lead out, and you walk in circles, and secondly I came in here looking for my pet fox when I was seven, I found the fox, but it died shortly when the Norcus got it, thats when I learned to transform into a fox" he said "so, I've been here since I was seven"

"what is that all about? how many others have you met?"He turned slowly without much of a glance.
~"well the first person i met was a boy, about 16 in age, and he saved me from the Norcus, which is what he called that thing, and now you probably had too. and the other person well she didn't do much but ask if he and i had come to save her. i departed from them shortly after the Norcus attacked yet again."She waded into the water and began to sip.~
"ah...i see. well then by now you already know there is basically no way out of here except one but only one knows how...but of course you've got to find that 'one' in order to find the way out. and not only that the one who knows how to get out is out so you'd have to get out to get the 'one' in order to find your way out."
~"but what's the point in finding a way out to find the 'one', how you call it, to re-discover how to get out? Gahh! this is so confusing!"She threw her hands up in the air and exclaimed.~
Fabian chuckled a bit but continued his handy work on the net. Nearby Aiden squaked.

he finished his stew "thanks for the meal, but I think I should go, I like to roam this forest at night, usually to see the animals...some eagle usually visits me, but oh well" he bade her good bye and walked out the door, still not knowing what it really was

Amense cleaned the bowls and put them away in her little cupbord before sitting down at the table, deep in thought. "Perhaps," She said after a long silence, "I should build an extension for guests, whenever they wish to stay...."
