((I'll speed things up...}
Suddenly, a crack of lightning fell from the sky and a terrified scream arose from inside the cave. The dragons looked at one another before hurrying to find the cause of the wail. They found a dragon crouched in a hallway.
"Heart Rose! What's wrong?" Night Star asked.
The dragon snuffled before replying, "They...they disappeared!" She wailed.
Night Star looked mystified for a moment.
"Who disappeared...and how?" she asked gently.
"They..they were with me, talking when suddenly there was this great flash of light and they were gone!" Heart Rose sobbed.
Muffasa blinked. "Heart Rose, who disappeared?""Vandra...Bubble...Christy...Rayne...and...Twitchy... She sputtered.[/clolor]
The dragons all exchaned a glance.
"That's a large number..." Night Star's eyes clouded with sadness.
What are they to do?

Rune wondered where his children were. Melody had promised to take them to his clan, but he hadn't seen them since he had arrived. He wandered the halls and came across the nursery. He decided that he waned to see it there were any new fledlings in, so he went in. To his surprise there was a dragon that resembled him greatly in there.
"Umm...hello?" He called.
Ezra turned around and saw his father.
"R...RUNE?!"
Rune blinked before realizing it must have been his child.
"Yes, that would be me..."
"So...you're my father..." Ezra asked quietly.

As everyone was talking to Heart Rose, Night Star slid away. The hurried down the halls and stopped infront of a door of a room that wasn't used. Glancing around she entered the password on the door and entered. Inside, two small dragons huddled together on the floor.
"Kouro! Thunder Star! Come, it's time to go." Night Star called to them.
The bigger one, a boy, pulled himself up and tried to help his siter up, but she was too tired and weak to go any farther.
Night Star sighed and picked up her child and placed her on her back.
"Kouro, you're going to have to walk. Don't worry, it's not too far."
The small fledgling looked up at her with big eyes.
"Mom, I'm tired..." He protested in a small, weak voice.
Night Star sighed.
"I'm not your mother. And don't worry, where you're going is nice and warm, if we don't go now, your sister will die." Night Star said gently.
Kouro blinked at her and padded along warily.
These are my children... Night Star thought, But, I can't let the clan find out. With so much comotion going on, no one will notice me take these two to the nursery.
Since the room where they had been staying in had been unused, it wasn't heated. Night Star couldn't heat it because it would call attention. What made it worst was that they were part fire dragon. They had only been there for a day, but they were cold and hungry, Thunder Star wasn't going to live much longer at this rate.
Finally, they drew near to the nursery. It was quiet, the three that were there were there were sleeping peacfully. Mikomi stirred a little as Patches entered the room from her sleeping chamber.
"Night Star? Oh my! Where did these two come from?" Patches gasped.
Night Star set Thunder Star into one of the cots and started the heater that would warm the bed. Kouro stuck close to his mom.
"I found these two with a loner. The loner couldn't support them so she gave them to me." Night Star lied, "Their names are Thunder Star and Kouro. Please take care of them." With that she left Kouro staring wide eyed at her with Patches. They would forget this day, and all the days before it. They wouldn't remember that she was their mother, they would believe her story about the loner.
They will always have each other...

Mikomi tapped Ezra with her tail "Daddy, who's that?" Mikomi looked at Rune. She didn't even bother thinking that Rune might be her grandfather

Jiggy had followed the others outside and watched as the dragon relayed the news. She turned to Kyuuka and said, "Wow, dragons disapeering, and not silently. What do you think of this, I mean, is it really safe here?"

Jiggy nodded fervently. They didn't have a home, so this would be the best they would be able to get. It seemed safe enough, but she was still a little skepticale. "Yeah, I guess your right. Why are dragons carrying boxes everywhere? You know, all wrapped up in paper and ribbons?"

"I'm your grandfather, Rune."
Eriru gasped.
"But...but you disappeared a long time ago!"
Rune nodded.
"Indeed. I did disappear. But I'm back know."

"Grandpa!" Mikomi rushed over to Rune and hugged him as best as he could "Grandpa, do you know where mommy is?"

Jiggy tilted her head from side to side, then shook it. "Okay...if you say so." She still wasn't sure if Kyuuka was pulling her leg about this 'Christmas'.

Rune glanced at Ezra, not understanding. "Ummm, I'm sure she will be back soon?..."
Eriru looked quite amused.
"You don't know, do you? About our mother?" She smirked.
((Rune just got back, he doesn't even know WHO their mother is.
and Eriru is one of those people you hate, and at the same time just adore to peices. xP You'll see what I mean.))
