°¤° Shinigami's whole body tenses as there's a light wrap on the door. Sierra's fever still hadn't broken and she seemed lost in her dream and was only falling deeper into it. He had noticed that the illusionist seemed to have very REAL dreams and when she was sick she had no control over them. He quickly changes the compress on her forehead and raises up silenetly from his seat. Fists clenched he opens the door a crack his piercing golden gaze boring into the man before him. °¤°
"The Lady is most ill... what buisness have ye' with her?"
°¤° His voice more than betrays the anger he's fighting to keep in check. °¤°

*Gouken's eyebrows raise with mild interest for a second, then he crosses his arms behind his back.*
"Ah, it's you. I expected to find you here. I felt you enter the premises late last night, after the Lady left her room and went for a stroll. Thank you for taking care of her for me, I will take over from here."
*Gouken moves to enter the room, about to brush past Shinigami's shoulder.*

°¤° Shinigami puts his arm across the doorframe as the man goes to move, barring his entrance. His peers down at him with distaste, using the couple of inches difference in their heights to add to his composure. Shinigami was tall for an elf and he liked it that way. He didn't give way to the stranger as he tried to push past and instead shoves him back out into the hallway rather unpleasantly. °¤°
"If you don't mind me asking... who in Gaia's far corners do you think you are?"

*Gouken brings one hand to his mouth and coughs slightly as Shinigami's arm blocks his way. His shifts his eyeless gaze upwards, as it was clear to him the man was taller.*
"My name is Gouken Furoshima, and I am the lady's sole Yojimbo. There, I believe that is all the introduction I need. If you will excuse me..."
*He lifts the other man's arm upward, striding into the room and taking a seat by the bed near her pillow. He checks her forehead and tuts, grabbing a new cold compress and putting it on to replace the old one, already brimming with heat.*

°¤° Shinigami's eyes widen slightly as the word "sole" rings through his mind. Sierra had made it quite clear that she was uninterested in his services... but out of respect to her Sensei and and Shin's father she had tolerated him until now. Sole... does that mean that she wouldn't even pretend to let him protect her now? And she'd LET him?! This man? Some roughian she barely knew?! His eyes glint maliciously as something clicks in his head. Gouken had mentioned nothing of being Sierra's lover... which means he could be 'removed' without undue hurt to his lady's heart. Had Sierra been in love with him he may have tolerated him for her sake but with that out of the way... it wasn't too bloody likely.
His eyes narrow as he realizes Gouken has pushed past him and he clamps down on his anger to keep from turning and launching a well placed punch at the base of his skull. Instead he walks over to Sierra's bed with a polite mask of calm drawn over him. °¤°
"And for what reason shuold I leave? And what do you have to justify letting her outside unwatched as you did... She nearly died!"

*Gouken had been expecting the question, and frowned slightly, completely ashamed with himself.*
"I felt you enter the premises, and I knew who you were. Sierra was fine at that point, and I assumed you were having a coversation. I am no invader of privacy. As you can see, I have no eyes, so the fact that you weren't having a conversation eluded me. When I felt her energy waver and sensed her terror, I was reading, and would have never made it in time. I let you catch her, and bring her back to her room. I checked on her shortly after, and I'm quite suprised you didn't notice me. I wasn't even being stelthy to the best of my abilities. I will be more careful in future. And I never said anything about you having to leave, you can stay all you want, but I am here now and it is my duty to continue her care."
*Gouken flips the cold compress over and feels her forehead again, sighing slightly.*
"At least the fever is going down."

*Sierra's face contorts, the edges around her mouth white and tight with pain. Her dreams seemed endless and she wasn't even sure what was real and what was her own abilities gone rampant. The last thing she remembered was falling and then nothingness. She was cold, despite her fever she was so unbearably cold that her teeth chattered. Gouken would no doubt be angry with her for going out on her own... She strained her ears slightly and thought she could make out the sounds of two people disputing something... She tried to listen harder but then a familliar touch at her forehead made her body relax somewhat and she fell back into the arms of her fevered darkness her face looking a little less troubled than it had.*

°¤° Shinigami shrugged indinantly and leered at him. Even if the man was eyeless he was certain he'd be able to feel the heat of his angry gaze. He had heard somone out in the hallway but when they hadn't so much as knocked on the door he had past them off for a servant. °¤°
"You let me? Like you said you wouldn't have gotten there on time. What if I HADN'T been there? What would you have done to excuse yourself then? And if you're her SOLE yojimbo which I must say I'm more than tempted to challenge as I haven't been thus far impressed... Where do you get off letting someone else handle your details?"
°¤° When he mentions that her fever is breaking he fights the rise of anger the swells within him but at the same time he lets go of a breath he hadn't realised he was holding. She was making a turn for the better and it mattered not who was sitting in that chair when that turn took place. °¤°

*Gouken sighed as he replaced the cold compress again, speaking without moving himself to face Shinigami.*
"If she had fell and noone else had been there, I would have taken sole responsibility and requested relief from my duties. And I do not believe in unnecessary conflict, so when you caught her I did not rush out to create it. I can see I made the right choice, by the way you're looking at me."

°¤° The elf swallows down a lump in his throat choking on utter revulsion. This man even if Sierra had been in love with him and just lost any grounds on which he had to stand with Shinigami. If he was willing to let her die and just "accept responsibility" for it... he was undeserving of being her protector. It was a yojimbo's job to make sure that NEVER happened as long as they were around. °¤°
"Actually you're quite mistaken Furoshima.... Had I seen you were doing your job I might have been content to sit in the shadows for at least a while and see how things played out between you... but that kind of admitted recklessness... I'm not willing to let her die because of your lack of conviction."

*Gouken laughs slightly, shaking his head as he flips the compress again. He turns to face Shinigami with a grin.*
"Obviously you underestimate her resilience. A fall like that would not of killed her, not with the amount of will and healing powers she posseses. And if it did, I assure you that my own life would be taken to restore hers. Monks have more healing techniques than most people realize."
*He stands slowly, stretching slightly and moving to grab a kettle, setting it in her fireplace and removing some fresh tea leaves from a pouch in his pocket.*
"I suggest you leave. Such negativity in my Lady's prescense surely will not help her."

*missed her mistress last night when they were supposed to meet, so after she closes the bar and cleans up, she heads over to Lady Sierra's room. She bounds in on all fours, and finds the two men in the room. She sits down, looking up at them* Hello ^^

°¤° Is just about to reply to Gouken when Sierra's pet persocon trots into the room taking him a little by surprise.
He'd only met Orestria a few times during the trips in which he'd escorted Sierra to J-Rocking. She had always seem to fawn over the tiny humanoid robot with an affection combined of something one might show towards a pet and the love you'd show a child.
He bows with an enigmatic kind of grace. Kneeling and kissing her hand lightly. °¤°
"Good morning Lady Orestria."

*Gouken waves to Ore-Chan and smiles, staying to tend to the kettle. He adds the tea leaves and pours the tea into a cup. He takes the cup to the side of her bed, waving the aroma of the tea towards Sierra's nostrils carefully.*
"This should wake her up."

Hello Everybdoy ^^ Just came to visit with Mistress ^^
*paws over to the bedside on all fours, and then rises to her feet just long enough to sit on the edge.* Nani? Sierra-sama went to bed with her clothes all on! She must have been very tired.... *her ears perk up a bit* I know ^^ I'll help *leans over to where Sierra is sleeping and starts to take off her tank top*
