Well, Mana seems to like Frech names alot. Maybe he just wanted to give Matin a French name that maybe sounded a little like his?

[Salamandra] Um, I was curious and looked up what Matin meant and apparently it means "morning" in french...um...anyone find sense in that meaning? XD He probably just woke up one morning and thought, "I have an idea! Mana shall create a cartoon character! I shall name him...Matin! 4laugh " After naming his new creation, he gave himself a pat on the back and went back to sleep. smile

Dancing Elegance Ah ok. I already tought he made them himself. Because i saw a drawing of a chibi princess he made. It has the same drawing style as the Matin mascot. =O do you have a pic of this chibi princess drawing?

well about choosing the name matin:
as we all know, mana seems interested in continuity and infinity and life and death and you know... all that
morning could always signify the beginning of a person's life
which corresponds to a lot of mana's errr 'interests'
and plus it has an M in front of it
i think the question at hand is why does mana like the letter m so much?
