Lock downs are a nice control, but I personally can't stand them. It makes for a painfully long and slow game, and if you're at the other end you want to kill yourself. Lock down = sadism?
I guess that's why I'll always be a Timmy. I like my decks to be slutty.

Pure johny player. Like right now I'm thinking of making some no net-decked version of a volcano helion and stuffy doll. the two can lead to a turn 6 win, with no mana acceleration. I know there a decks that literally do a turn one win, but thats no fun.
My favorite deck right now hs to be the B/W I'm building, it's going to focus on reanimation, creature theft, life gain, and land destruction. thatseems like a lot but it really isn't. If I could fit hand destruction into it, I would.
Angel of despair, debtor's knell things like that.

Assuming the lack of a completely unstoppable combo deck in the format, your best bet is to play control. Control decks allow you to outplay your opponent to win, and can fit most of the answers it needs to win within the main and sideboard. Throw in some card draw, allowing you to find those answers, and your winning percentage becomes astronomical.

I have to say control. It can outlast aggro, and it doesn't need specific pieces to go off like combo. ninja

I dont have trouble using any of them. In fact, my red, white, and black deck is capable of all three without using the sideboard. The problem with people sticking to certain strategies is that like a game of roshambo, one just stomps the others. Ive found its why many people dislike control decks that win by decking.

As Johnny as I am, or claim to be, I've been alternating between a BW control deck and various aggro decks (most notably a BR Hellbend/madness concoction and a wRG behemoth that splashed white just for hierarchs and helixes).

I got to go control for me. When I first got into MTG I would of said aggro, but now it's mostly control at least in some part in my decks.
