"Spire!"

A stone spire protruded from the lighthouse, and nearly struck Matt, had he jumped back at those words. Kassion managed to deflect the striking blades during the time. Matt stepped aside from the spire and was about rush again when Kassion jumped off the side of the lighthouse.

"What the hell are you doing? You'd better not be running away!"

Matt quickly withdrew the two psyenergy controlled blades and sheathed them. With the Gaia Blade still in hand, he ran to the side of the lighthouse as well just in time to catch a spell.

"Flame wave!"

Just then, a deadly flame spread over the top of the lighthouse. A little late, Matt focused on a burst of psyenergy that formed a stone barrier around himself, but not before he was caught by some flames. With his pants on fire, Matt quickly used his cape to flap out the flames. Meanwhile, the flames wore away at the stony barrier Matt set up, but the fire wasn't strong enough to damage Matt any more than it already did.

"I wonder if Kassion even remembered that he had an adept up here as well."

Matt searched around for the adept, but the fires were too heavy for Matt to see. Anyways, he had to pay attention to the battle, not others. When the wave was cleared, the barrier subsided and Matt ran over to the ledge. Kassion was still on his way down.

"Phew, I guess I should just stick to another form where I can at least use psyenergy. Hm...I don't see a way how he can get out of that fall. But just incase..."

"Earth Glaive!"

A mutated version of Matt's custom [Gaia Slash], [Earth Glaive] featured a messy chunk of spikey stone that protruded from the ground. Something dangerous to fall onto. He then said to himself.

"That wasn't a smart move Kinshou.

Matt rose a column of earth as he did years ago and hopped onto it. Acting as an elevator, Matt got himself onto ground zero while watching Kassion struggle out of his situation.

Hiro soon had fallen back to sleep, but his sleep was a normal one, no longer a coma. When he awoke,he instantly resumed his duties, much to the dissapointment of quite a few of his generals. He seemed to be a little less focused, and was beginning to act like his old, dreaming self.

Seeing the last second move Kassion called to Titan, his most powerful djinni.

When the blades hit his Chariot, the psyenergies cancelled each other out, causing a large explosion near the tip of the lighthouse.

When the psyenergies cancelled, Kassion was sent spiraling out of it, but still very concious and focused. Titan made both his physical and elemental strength skyrocket, not to mention that he was already almost completely immune to fire against him.

So, as he fell from the clash, he called to his jupiter and earth powers. Stopping himself near the center of the lighthouse with a collection of stone and wind gusts. He formed a bit of a staircase, just like Matt had, which connected with Matts original one.

Kassion dashed back up the staircase, hoping that the fire and smoke would hang in the air long enough to give him time to reach Matt.

With all of his new strength weighing him down, he called on Artica to speed him up.
He raced up the stairs, easily reaching the tip just as the smoke cleared. When the stairs began to fall apart, he lept onto the the lighthouse nearly missing the edge because of Artica. He shook his head in denial, "Good thing I am stronger than most adepts."
He spun with both weapons ready to see where Matt was.

Hearing Matt's sarcastic remark, Kassion smirked and chuckled a little bit as Matt made his way back up. Kassion allowed it.

When Matt got back to the top he immidiatly attacked Kassion with [Gaia slash] and then zipped past Kassion.

Kassion Kinshou, no novice to battle, was not phased as much as he should have been. Rather, being also speed enhanced, but not quite as fast, he snapped his arm out towards the speeding spikes and simply thought of his spell, Fire wall, and recoiled his arm for his next split-second move. Highly energy based flames spouted from Kassion and countered the spikes.
Confident that his attack was sufficient, he already spun to his right, Hammer leading, to counter an attack if Matt was indeed attacking him.

((I am amused by it!))
Kassion felt Helios hit something tangible and looked over to see Matt clutching his side. Kassion eased up for a second, but then noticed the weapon's flicker. "Oh. That can't be good!"
"Hell's Flames, Contain!" Knowing that there was no time to waste, Kassion quickly summoned an awe inspiring dome around himself and Matt. The dome was Kassion's best defensive energy move.

Just as the dome quickly materialized it seemed as if it were going to explode.
The [Titan blade] hit no sooner than the dome came to life, almost knocking it down completely and shaking the entire lighthouse. Almost the entire Aerie was engulfed in the massive defence structure and now it was only Kassion and Matt, leaving poor Maxwell outside to do nothing still besides survive the violent tremor.
Kassion's Psyenergy was thinning because of all of his spells, but they were worth it.

He had a few more Djinn on standby and would be used only if needed.

"The dome will not falter. Not with my energy supporting it. Do what you will, but there is no where to hide and it is about to get very hot in here."
Kassion knew his current immunity to fire would suffice, so it was time to make things a bit more interesting.
"Super Nova!" With those words, the inside of the doom began to glow a bright orange. Then fires burst from the walls of the dome itself and were carried in a furious vortex, leaving Matt completely helpless at the moment.
Kassion's eyes turned a bright red along with the dome. He was barely concious of his actions. He almost lost control until he realized that his objective was to cause him to give up, not kill the boy.

"Yield or it will only grow hotter!"

The winds carried the fire around and around in the dome of earth and fire, biting at Matt with every gust and pushing him back.

Kassion felt little stings as well, but they were only minor inconveniences until Titan ran out. He had plenty of time.

The only problem for Kassion was that he was tearing the Aerie to shreds and sending the burning debris into the wind as well. Matt and Kassion were both getting pelted with bits of stone on top of the already unbearable heat.

Kassion was waiting for something just like this. All common values were out the window. He was now completely out of his mind! The adrenaline had taken Kassion over and now there wasn't any logic left in him besides his combat instincts.

With Titan and artica still active and the fiery vortex still growing and gaining heat, Kassion lifted Helios above his head and Edarum across his body in a seemingly awekward menuver.

He burst into motion, flying at Matt from across the dome. Kassion saw the blades and also heard them coming because of the constant ring that they made when hit my debris. He didn't even bother to worry about most of the blades, they were having a hard enough time retracting and attacking again after each swing that missed as Kassion dodged them.

When Kassion was past the blades for a second, he took this opportunity.
With a great and effortless heave, Kassion sent Helios flying end over end at Matt, but just as he did, he felt a sharp pain in his side.
Kassion grunted and batted it away with the back of his hand, which was also shielded by his mithril gauntlets.
He hit a blade. It was the Gaia blade. When he batted it away, he cut a small gash on an opening on his hand. He didn't have time to see if he was bleeding, but he had faith in his armor to keep him from most harm.

When he recovered, he sput and continued to bat away the remaining two blades. With this furious charge, Kassions emotions ended up fueling the fires and winds around them. The entire dome was now turning the stone a light red. Kassion was even beginning to sweat.

He could not think, but he knew that with Helios hurling towards Matt, Matt would have to drop everything for that instant.

"Argh, it's so...hot!"

While focusing his attention at the blades impaling Kassion, he saw the move when the Mars Master tossed Helios over to Matt.

With his left hand still in his pocket and holding on to the Pound Cube, he turned away and let his swords enter the whirlpool of debris while using his psyenergy to raise a stone wall from the Mars Lighthouse to block the incoming warhammer. The hammer struck the stone wall and nearly pierced the barrier, but stuck onto the wall instead.

"Okay, now I need to find my weapons again. Better yet, I should watch out to dodge them. But first, time to disarm Kassion..."

Manipulating the stone wall where Helios stuck, he lowered the wall back into the floor of the Mars Lighthouse, deeming it unretrievable. However, the storm of fury continued, and began to take a higher toll on Matt. Steaming hot, Matt could feel that his constant [Cure Well] isn't healing as much as the damage he was taking from the flying shards of stone and heat now. Burn marks were all over his clothes, and Matt was feeling quite charred himself. He has to either disable Kassion, or get out of the dome soon.

Letting go of the Pound Cube in his pocket, Matt switched his grasp to that of the Tremor Bit in his pocket and took it out. Matt let his psyenergy flow into the Tremor Bit, and the Mars Lighthouse began shaking violently.

"If I can get the lighthouse to crumble and Kassion to fall, he'll have to turn his attention to saving himself with chariot instead of focusing his psyenergy on the dome. Then I'll be able quickly get out of this hell hole and get a clear shot at him.

The lighthouse continued to rock violently, warning the two battling masters that it cannot hold up such force for long.
